And I thought you woulda remembered me but, in any event, stopped posting for personal reasons (health problems) a coupla years ago, and have only periodically lurked here since jim started this board.

It sounds like y'all have some 'issues' w each other, some history. And I don't want to get in the middle.

I dunno that Drox has to justify his long position, or his views on the IP.

Like you, I have some faith when HG says IDCC has 'essential patents in all five standards.'

I have confidence that the participation, in fact, the LEADERSHIP role that IDCC has taken in standards setting will pay off for us--big time.

The only thing I wanted to say is that IMHO data rox has an opinion, which of course he's entitled to--right or wrong--and IMHO that opinion is NOT 'an agenda' and due to the negative connotations of that phrase, I wanted to offer MHO that is all it is--opinion NOT 'agenda.'

PS: Just FYI: My annual report says IDCC has made '1000 contributions to 3G standards to date' pg 6, not 600.

I hope everyone one of them adds at least a dollar to the share price!!! I'd bet that Datarox shares that hope!!!

Anyway: I like all of you and probably shoulda kept my mouth shut, but datarox and I go back some and have a local beef n ale place in common so I wanted to say that I think he's a stand up guy, a straight shooter and while possibly incorrect about his opinions in this and/or other instances, I don't think he has 'an agenda' other than what he says in his profile--buy low sell high favorite stock is what's making him money and I think that's what he is about in terms of investing and other than that as he says, his family, his religion are what's important to him and it is hard not to respect that. I know he likes beef and is probably good to his friends and I consider him a friend even though we don't know each other real well and I stand up for my friends--just like I would stand up for you or bsw if I thought someone was saying something off base about you.

So IMHO a difference of opinion obviously exists. That doesn't mean he's got an agenda. That's all.
