Joel is probably correct about the pervasive influence of those central European philosophers, beginning with the incomparable German philosophers Immanuel Kant and later Hegel, whose "immortal" sentences frequently ran on for pages. Their many disciples were no slouches either at trying to grasp the nature of the universe in a single sentence.

Perhaps a Japanese Haiku would be a good antidote, or a silent meditation if your head begins to hurt too much. LOL
