OT Computer question: I recently purchased a new laptop that has acted very strangely when using certain programs and accessing various sites and downloads. I have installed all the latest updates for windows and for the most part it is running better but one thing continues to happen that is frustrating.

When I try to access a site that has a PDF file such as all the links to wireless ledger that Jim posts, I can't access the files on this computer. It goes to the site then says that it is downloading then nothing except Cannot find server message. The links work fine on my desktop but not on my laptop.

Anyone have any ideas on what settings could be messed up that prevent me from opening the files? I have Adobe reader 7.0 version 7.0.5 loaded on this machine. Thanks for your help and sorry for the off topic.
