So to summarize a busy day of postings.

We know some four million STmicro chips are out there. Probably most in Dell Optiplex 620 -- but an unknown number in other places.

My understanding is that there is some double counting of money's owed...10 cents from STMicro...50 cents from Dell for the Optiplex 620s shipped since June...for which we still may have not been paid. (Note SKS's comments about Dell payments being (my word( elusive. We don't know if Dell owes us a buck or a million bucks.

We have no clear idea of how the Intel ViiV and consumer stuff fit in with movie delivery (This has been the case for 8 years). We have no clear idea of when the consumer stuff starts hitting the streets. (I do remember an SKS comment that suggests the difference between Enterprise and Consumer is becoming less clear all the time.)

Our discussions on this get verbally confused because there are Web Services that will expand when Intel platforms utilizing LaGrande and advances in Vista are released one to two years from now...and there are some things that may become possible using ViiV and MCE....things are blurry.

Ala Mode is starting to launch.

Folks...on this first day of the baseball season...let us remember that you can't play ball without THE BALL. The BALL is the 1.2 bundled with Wave STMicro is working with VIA - The BALL is in those chipsets. Infineon doesn't have a BALL. they have a chip that does NOTHING of any importance. Until later in the month when the first NON-TRIAL, PRODUCTION Dell Latitudes hit the streets....TRUSTED COMPUTING HAS BEEN A MYTH.

NOW IT IS REAL. IT HAS COME! Before this it was an idea! Now for the first time it is a technology that can be IMPLEMENTED. It will be IMPLEMENTED.

dOESN'T matter if Dell owes us a buck or a million bucks. What matters is that the machines are now hitting the streets. Enterprises CAN buy them. Consumers CAN buy them. Wave and others will sell and invent applications for them.

TCG is NOW THE PARADIGM. Until it shifts again...Wave has a lot of ways to make money.....Ala Mode, Managed Secure Video, secure document vaults.... AND BTW isn't there a time stamp system built into things for establishing legal timestamps if not for metering in one way or another..

If I were BARGE...I'd be YELLING....STOP COUNTING HOW MANY ACORNS ARE ON THE GROUND....TAKE A LOOK AT HOW THE FOREST HAS GROWN UP ALMOST OVERNIGHT. WAVE IS CINDERELLA...The
Dance is over....Spring Training is over.....Development stage is Over......We've got the BALLs so enjoy the game.
