I received a reply from Mr. Shmuel regarding my interest in visiting their facility in Guangzhou, and here is his response:

We received your contact information from Mr. Mayer, who said you were interested in visiting our site in Hainan, China. First of all, thank you for your interest in SDE. Sadly, I cannot help you with this matter as our local partners in China are in charge of the site and are not interested in allowing visitors to tour it while they have yet to finalize it.


We would be happy to hear more about you and see if there is another in way in which we may assist you in moving forward.


Here is some general information about SDE:


SDE has been operating for 17 years. Mr. Ovadia, SDE's CEO, is the inventor of the hydro-pneumatic system for production of energy from sea waves and founder of the company. SDE holds the best solution for the growing environmental need for a renewable energy source, as seen by our technology being chosen number 1 in its field by an independent team of scientists form "Pure Energy Systems" (PESWiki) and also as one of the top 100 renewable energies (http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:S.D.E._Energy_Ltd.). In addition, our system is the only one that has been tested, authorized and financed by the chief scientist of Israel.



Primarily, S.D.E.'s technology was chosen due to the high energy efficiency, low cost of power generation, low risk to the system and low maintenance costs. Only the flotation devices are set in the water thus 90% of the system is on land and can be set at a safe distance, thus guarding it from detrimental weather condition and corrosion. In addition, SDE's system can be connected to the local power grid with only minor changes. Our technology can be placed along coastlines, where most of the world's population is situated and so help provide electricity where it is needed most.




Sea wave technology is a rising star in the renewable energy sector. Scientists worldwide have established that global warming is only getting worse, since the damage we see today is caused from fuel burning from 20 years ago. Sea wave energy holds potential for a lot of power - water density is 8oo times higher than that in air. While solar and wind energy are viable 22-24 % of the year, sea waves are a possible energy source more than 65% of the year. Our system produces energy based on rise and fall of sea waves, in addition to undercurrents and . Our wave technology begins to generate energy from waves of around 80 cm and higher. In addition sea waves are highest in times of peak need for electricity ( Summer and Winter, solar energy).


We have built 12 models in Jaffa port, Israel. We are currently in the final stages of our second plant in Hainan in China of 150 KW, which has successfully produced electricity. We have been in touch with governments, ministers of Energy, power companies and other entities in the energy sector, promoting sea wave energy. Currently we have orders from countries in Africa, where the government has been brought in as a partner for the project, as well as several deals we are in the process of closing in Europe.




Scientists from around the world claim that using 1% of wave’s energy can provide 500 times the world energy consumption. We are eager for sea wave energy technology to spread around the globe and help prevent future environmental disasters.
