I believe that 4Starman was alluding to the fact that if management and directors purchased on the open market, that would be a litmus test as to how much confidence they had in the AOT and obtaining purchase orders. That would indicate that they have confidence in the stock, in the company and that the stock is undervalued.

If the board is in negotiations with trying to sell the company, then they would be precluded from buying shares. And there are "dark periods" when they can't purchase regarding press releases and 10Q's. But I don't believe it has anything to do with whether you sell or lease your products. Otherwise, Boeing execs and other big companies would not be able to buy their stock at all. And as many people have opined on this board before, we don't seem to have too many press releases or contracts...
