thank you for this.
a lot of good things in that article.
Hey, welcome aboard. Many things 'pending' here...
Be sure to boardmark LLEG.
news from planning board last night?
any end in sight? seems it's been going on for quite some time. how does this compare to the AUTO pattern we watched last summer?
ahahahaaha!
just quoting the governor from the biomass conference video...
"growing forest covers 84% of the state of NH."
Here, this post of yours is much more on the mark:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=47882015
Get it straight. Half your posts say the plant is inevitable (too much political support behind it, 'incompetent' city coucil, etc., etc.) while the other half say it will never happen (not enough wood, grid issues, personal attacks on the CEO).
Make up your mind, Sean.
Tomorrow, 6:30pm.
the false assumption that every proposed project will be approved and go online is the same one the 'grid capacity' folks use too. it paralyzes the whole system. everyone is just supposed to sit around on their hands keep things the way they are.
i agree, no wonder companies continue to locate outside the U.S..
Next Tuesday, April 6.
The next Berlin Planning Board Meeting- I believe Laidlaw is giving a presentation (based on an article in the BDS).
"At the March planning board meeting, City Planner Pamela Laflamme reported Laidlaw will present an overview of the project at the board’s April meeting. While jurisdiction over the permitting rests with the state SEC, Laflamme said Laidlaw has agreed to answer questions and hear local concerns."
one of the milestones which may/may not (who knows?) have been reached is the PPA with PSNH.
yes, though last week you told us here that a good week was coming- "this looks solid"
i wouldn't say this week's performance (or the past several) has been "solid"
but i'm not a chart expert.
No. Because he's (literally) a bald-faced liar.
Here's what he said two days ago:
"No Bob. No conspiracy. I think the SEC ruled appropriately that they feel counsel for the public represents the citizens of Berlin and I think they will by ultimately denying the certificate for many many reasons. I respect their decisions and believe it's good news to see that all other intervenor petitions were granted. I consider this a big win for the area and for the citizens of Coos county. The SEC is clearly showing they will protect NH businesses and NH citizens and chose not to single out one citizen as having any more importance than other citizens and I think that was an appropriate decision for them to make. If you think this means I go away, however, you're sadly mistaken.

Does anyone honestly have a good estimate on how many shares are left? "populating shares", etc, etc. seems like the "AUTO" boogeyman has had plenty of shares to sell for years now. the 30 million estimate floated out by Mike in one of his last posts just doesn't sound right.
it's like being kicked in the nads repeatedly.
Well done. Should be any day now.
Patience.
6 months and counting until September 23...
What day is the planning board's April meeting?...
Just do it.
BUYING here.
Patience.
nice!
"Lack of trees" shouldn't be an issue in a state that is 85% forest.
What'ya got Sean?
I think it will be worthwhile to hold on to all of your shares.
Patience.
Funny how much wasted time and energy is spent on that stuff. Boggles the mind.
The biomass conference video posted here is encouraging and constructive. The biomass harvesting video is awesome too. People using their minds to enact positive change, not hate.
Grid issues could become a thing of the past. Anyone see this on 60 minutes?

I love rumors.
i think it's what we loosely call "sarcasm."
looking forward to the next couple of weeks here, enjoy your weekend all.
Patience.
Nobody wants to buy a house next to a biomass plant, but apparently you did.
profound, man.
profound.
lucky dog. your timing is sublime.
a few more weeks:
taken literally these seem to indicate February 17 ("120 days") and February 28 ("end of February").
October 19, 2009 10:29 AM Eastern Time
Laidlaw expects to execute a lease and assume control of the power plant within the next 120 days. The lease will allow Laidlaw to acquire the plant upon receipt of the necessary permits and approvals to operate it as a biomass plant. Upon execution of the contemplated lease, the power plant will continue to be operated for Laidlaw for Veolia Energy (http://www.veoliaenergyna.com/en/) pursuant to an existing O&M Agreement.

Joint Venture
We have started to receive funds from the HLE joint venture to cover overhead and development costs, so we expect this will be a significant positive factor going forward in terms of reducing LLEG's capital needs. There is a note due to us at the end of February in connection with the JV that is expected to yield significant additional working capital and is anticipated to allow us to be profitable for fiscal 2010.

Not a very "rational" decision, was it Sean "Brungy"?
That's what I don't get about the anti-Laidlaw crowd. Did they expect the giant mill in their "backyard" to disappear after they bought their house? Like they were banking on the failure of the industrially-zoned site from the start. Laidlaw isn't building a tower in the middle of your city. They're taking over a facility that has been there for decades and is part of the city's history. The rest of the state shouldn't be punished for your poor real estate decisions.
And Sean, your claims that Bartoszek "lacks transparency" are completely baseless. You sound like Jon Edwards.
Mike,
Once again, thanks for the updates. They're very re-assuring. We should all meet in New York sometime in the future for a small investors meeting. For now, PRs, blog, twitter, email, and investorshub will do.
Time for college basketball. Go 'Cuse.
