Jim Chanos shorting this the whole time. The daily rise and walk down was a clue. Hopefully he already covered.
You guys with the insider sales lol. They are all pre-planned sales. Their are SEC regulations around this. Look at the PLTR’s filings.
Brutal
You too buddy, good luck.
Based on future tech and AI adoption/dependence, they’re on track to becoming one of the biggest govt contractors. And when they can scale their tech to be affordable and implementable for and by small business, $Trillion dollar market cap.
Sky’s the limit long-term
I think so. Should’ve bought at 23, but I think it has room to run pre-earnings. My short-term target is 27.5
It’s pre-scheduled selling to comply with securities laws.
What do peeps think of short-term outlook here? Is a successful deal and dilution fully baked into current share price?
Man. Should’ve held SQQQ for 6 weeks lol. Who knew
Will keep a close eye on energy.
Very interesting, thanks. Solid counter.
You guys might be right, will check out the book.
But that’s still a lot of money passing into younger hands every year, no?
Don’t mean to get political, but threatening to not raise the debt ceiling and default on our debt is not the right thing to do. For negotiation, for the country, or for any reason.
This is interesting regarding the big picture, longer-term view:
Trillions of dollars flowing to risk-tolerant Millennials are set to boost stock market fundamentals for years, making it hard to be too bearish, Fundstrat's Tom Lee wrote in a note on Friday.
Building on past research, Lee pointed to four factors that show the scale of the generational wealth transfer underway:
1. $2 trillion of wealth flows from Baby Boomers to Millennials per year through inheritance, according to Fundstrat estimates
2. Over the next 20 years, Millennials will inherit $76 trillion from previous generations
3. Millennials tend to prefer higher-risk assets like stocks and crypto
4. Baby Boomers are becoming a smaller relative share of the pool of wealth, meaning Millennial asset preferences will fuel a structural shift
Meh, we were right here last Monday. Don’t count those crash chickens yet.
I’m not so optimistic. I think the debt ceiling issue will get resolved, like always. Also have a feeling the 3.5T spending bill will fail, nixing the tax increases for now. Both will drive the market substantially higher in near term.
Just predictions, we shall see. But this FUD created a nice trading situation.
Great day here for everyone, congrats!
Back in at 52.19. LFG
Thank you. Yes, no one ever went broke taking a small profit.
Agreed. Powell is a formidable backstop. Some tickers looking pretty good, although the very fast bounce up from Monday is somewhat concerning.
Best of luck.
Closed all my SQQQ today. Profited, but a lot less than I could have. Spent way too much time sitting around waiting for the market to keep spilling. Monday was a gift.
Can’t really complain, but I will anyway! :) Hope all is green and good for you.
Very reasonable. Appreciate the thought. My gut tells me an attempt at more dovishness, but that’s clearly coming to an end, so not sure how it will be interpreted.
What reaction do you expect to FOMC?
Very helpful, thank you. Your info and thoughts are greatly appreciated.
I continue to hold my full SQQQ position betting on a larger slide. Have a feeling opex week buoyed the market in order to kill as many options as possible, although today’s action was surprising (expected a flatter day, so maybe first assumption is flawed). But the reversals on Wed and Thurs were highly suspect. Market was teetering hard red all week.
The inevitable slide is coming, so will gamble on it occurring now (!) based on my avg price. But admit it will sting if we get the Monday squeeze you expect.
The slow downward pressure is a bit unsettling, tbh. Watching SQQQ slowly tick up day by day feels untenable and just weird :)
If it actually involves systemic risk, the Evergrande situation could be the mini black swan (black duckling?) to force the slide, although it’s evaded the headlines so far. 300B is a lot.
Best of luck, and cheers to a great weekend.
Holding all my SQQQ.
Thank you for all these thoughts, much appreciated.
Continue to hold my SQQQ because of what I feel like “should” happen. We all know how that usually turns out :)
This daily downward pressure seems to confirm the thesis, but still waiting for the big flush.
Let a lot of SQQQ gains evaporate today, that pump was out of nowhere and straight up for hours, crazy.
Started to think it difficult for market to move hard in either direction leading up to quad witch.
What are your thoughts on the next few weeks?
Hm, thanks for this. Is this an increase over the normal bond purchase program?
Thank you!
Surprised at this number, and but still holding SQQQ as well for now. Hated to watch it bleed twenty cents from yesterday afternoon, although that disgust forces me to take reasonable profits on occasion ;)
Best of luck to you.
Thanks. Market is really fighting to buoy itself, let’s see if slide will accelerate.
I mean, I don’t really want the market to crash, tbh. Even though I would benefit hugely at the moment if it did.
I think a 10% correction would benefit the health of the market, but I don’t want to see people and their 401Ks suffer. I don’t care what the Fed has done, it’s the investors that suffer in end, and their not all hedge funders.
Good stuff.
I’m all in on SQQQ at 7.28. Nice feeling to be super optimistic over weekend :)
We’ve seen a bunch of those size corrections recently.
Take it easy, man
Much appreciate these thoughts. Best of luck tomorrow.
Only hope is some surprise from ER. But I also hope to live to 130.
Thanks for the reminder, always helpful :)
Exercised unusual discipline and took a 20% position SQQQ EOD. Qs look shaky af. Wonder where they’d be without the apple car news.
Thanks for this. Expect these signs to culminate in a dramatic event, but I’m a broken record at this point.
Regardless, as you’ve said, shorting definitely seems lower risk/higher reward at the current level.
Almost bought too much SQQQ at close today, so decided to slap my wrist and buy none.
Nice slip for the Qs today. Patience on a monument over here.
