Hal, there's another new development that needs you're explanation. The Rodeo Cannon case: Filed date: 9/17/02, PLTF'S MTN TO QUASH /MODIFY SUBPOENA DUCES TECUM/36, Performed 9/24/02. Now why would the plaintiff (Rodeo Cannon) quash their own request for documents? Can we assume that since MPTV filed for chapt 11 that they are giving up? lol, fat chance of that but something is going on here.

Nice job Hal, and with this new format on the Clark County web site we can see that those parcels in post 2503 still show taxes owing. Hopefully they are already paid and just not updated yet, time will tell. The $2.44M showing on each parcel cannot be the price paid for each parcel. That would be $430,396,736 for the 176 parcels. I don't think so. And since they are all exactly the same amount, I will guess that the $2,445,436 is what was paid for the whole piece of land. In which case, there has been much appreciation since March of 1998. Lot's of action going on now, and I don't see any new lawsuits since that last PR. Looks like the way has been cleared for a loan closing.
Links to Clark County web site may not work in the future. But maybe with the improvements, it will become easier to find info we're looking for. Here is what they are saying:

I don't get it, the links in post 2503 still show that none of the tax has been paid on those parcels, even though it looks like the court was convinced that the tax was paid. I can't believe that Clark County is this far behind. They were getting the site updated within a few days in the past. Or could there be something special about those parcels that is making MPTV wait to pay that tax?
It sure looks like they've paid all the taxes according to the minutes from the court. The links in post 2503 are still showing unpaid but like you say, it seems to be taking several days to catch up. I find the posts by Rolling-Thunder to be at least as interesting as all this tax stuff. Sure hope this is all leading up to a loan closing and ultimately, construction.

They may have already paid the rest of the tax but these are the parcels left showing as delinquent on the Clark County site, and with updated amounts owing. It seems to take a day for them to post after the tax is paid.

And here are the minutes for that same day Hal:
Matter trailed for Mr. Davis to be present. Mr. Babero reviewed the facts of the case and advised the taxes were delinquent on 59 apartments but have been paid on only 21 apartments. Mr. Davis advised payments have been made and proof was submitted on the 1999 tax delinquencies, but the county is applying the payments parcel by parcel. Further advised they hope to pay the remainder of the taxes by the end of next week. Argument by Mr. Babero that the county has foreclosed on the property and filed an Intent to Deed and Transfer the property which will be effective on June 5. Mr. Babero advised that Judge Gates ordered payment of the taxes by May 25. On May 22 they received proof that only part of the taxes have been paid. Request by Mr. Babero for sanctions and for attorneys fees and oral motion to renew request for a receiver to be appointed. Argument by Mr. Davis that Mr. Babero's clients were in control in 1999 and 2000 when the taxes were not paid and his clients have been trying to catch up ever since. Mr. Davis advised the tax buy out when they acquired the property was $250,000, it is now down to $35,000 - $40,000. Further advised they have been in contact with the tax authorities who have been cooperative. Court noted that since May 25 does not fall on a business day, Mr. Davis' clients have until May 28 to pay the taxes. COURT ORDERED matter continued for further proceedings; Mr. Davis to have the taxes current by that time. If matter is not cured by that time, Court will award fees to Mr. Babero and may also consider appointing a receiver. Mr. Davis advised that for the record he wishes to point out that some of the statements made by Mr. Babero were not accurate.
FURTHER PROCEEDINGS 5/30/02 9:00 A.M.
There are a couple of errors that I spotted too late to change, but they don't affect the accuracy. The 'Parcel Number' is wrong on a few of them but the list of parcel numbers in the parentheses is right. It's easy to spot, so as long as you're aware of it, it's no big deal. For example, in the delinquent lots, notice this is for lots 25, 71, 72 etc but the parcel number shows 002. So the parcel number should be 16221711025, the first parcel in the list.

In the following two posts are copies of the taxes for the lots at Lake Trop. I've reformatted them so they would post here. Since a copy paste won't work and stay formatted, there is the possibility of mistakes as I typed them in, but I've tried to prevent that. In the 176 tax reports, there are many identical amounts, so I simply listed the lot numbers that go with each of the forms. The last 3 digits of the parcel number are the ones that change. The first post is all the lots that have delinquent taxes. The second post shows all the lots that have no past due amounts but have payments due in the near future.
Why did I bother with all this? Well, I wanted a way to tell when MPTV has made any payments on their taxes. We can all pull up the tax bill summary on the Clark County web site but with 176 tax lots, I find it difficult to tell when something changes. Now we have a record of current amounts and can compare these with future records. The next due date shown on each form is 8/19/2002 so hopefully we will have a closed loan by then.
By the way, the link for tax lot 42 is wrong so just type in 42 in place of the 41 at the end of the url in your browser address.

Tekoah19, I submit that one should be careful of what one wishes for, as it may just come true. Case in point is COII which has been trading on the OTC for some time. It hit a high of $20 in the first part of March of 2000 and has had no problem staying above the $3.00 mark ever since. Like all OTCBB stocks it's stock price has been controlled by news releases and speculation. The company tried to get onto the Nasdaq and in fact was approved for listing by the Nasdaq on June 26, 2000 but the staff of the Nasdaq decided to postpone trading for further review and subsequently screwed around for 5 months until the stock price had dropped enough that they no longer quialified for listing. It had been trading in the $8 to $12 range for months. Then on Dec. 5, 2000 it was announced that COII would be moving to the AMEX and start trading on the 6th with the symbol CIO. The news of course spiked the share price from $3 to $4.75 and has subsequently been falling ever since. It hit a low of $1.12 on Dec 20, 2000 and until they start producing some large revenues they will continue to flounder and could drop even lower.
Is this what we really want for STRU? Trading on the OTC is different than being on a major exchange. The share price can fluctuate with percieved potential earnings, taking the stock to great heights without actually having any earnings. Once we make it to another exchange we must then prove our worth with earnings. Struthers is a fledgling upstart company and has yet to show any great earnings. It has potential for great earnings yes, but the buyers on the AMEX want to see those earnings now, not in the distant future. Listing on the AMEX too soon I believe would kill our stock and we would no longer see the trading and liquidity that we have now. And once we discovered that moving to the AMEX was a mistake, how long would it take to get back to the OTCBB? Another 8 months? No, I think that maybe we should be patient and let Struthers grow the business to the point where Nasdaq listing would be a natuaral and easy transition. If we have the earnings to support a share price over $5 then the MM's will have a tough time beating us down. The MM's have a whole lot more control over when or even if we get the the Nasdaq than one might think. The MM's make a lot more money on every trade of the OTC than they do with the Nasdaq and they aren't willing to let that cash cow go easily. Take a look at EDIG and you will see what power the MM's have over stock price and subsequently your chance of being listed on the Nasdaq.
