If I understand this correctly, Simes is given options on 800,000 shares @.68 for 0 dollars. Looks kind of stinky to me. It appears they are being rewarded for the collapse of the stock. I would be a little ticked if I owned shares over $2. Not good pr imo. These guys are already well compensated.
I like these kinds of bottom plays. I played IL and TQNT on disappointing earnings, both rebounded nicely. I bought ANX on Friday on account of it's pristine balance sheet and it's trading less than cash. BPAX is by far the best play though for a double/triple short term.
Exellent presentation, reinforeces my original decision to buy bpax. I was impressed by Simes. I may have to nibble on more shares.
Amazing how they pound the bid down. I wonder if it's short selling. If thats the case we may have have alot more shares shorted than 21M.
As of the 15th there were 21M shares shorted. On that day the volume was 49M and the days following added another 50M. There has been time to cover all or most of the shares, whether or not they.ve covered is a good question. This is a somewhat of a unique situation in that the stock fell off a cliff.
Last figure was over 22.8% of float short. Will be interesting to see where it's at now.
Biased to the upside. Huge short, oversold-RSI under 20. Selling for less than cash, price barely above book, excellent ratio, low debt. I see a nice rebound in the next couple trading days.
Tried to buy a few here
FWIW TD Ameritrade has buys on Hemi blocked. Someone might want to contact the company.
Bid down to .0001. This values the company on the bid of a little over $10,000. Quite the destruction of shareholder capital.
We get down to the 000's, the market cap will be just north of $100,000. I wonder what the book value of Allenergy is? Quite the haircut from a year ago.
It's a double edge sword. The lower you push it down, the harder it will be to get it back up again.
Who sold 132 shares ALRY for 79 cents?
That's barely enough for a cup of coffee. This is bordering on the absurd.
OT: I'm no economist, but have been wondering when the chickens were coming home to roost. We've had the rest of the world loaning us money to keep or economy afloat and pay for our consumption and welfare state. It's going to get worse as citizens are becoming more and more dependent on government for basic needs.
Watch this video of Dr. Doom recorded last night, pretty scary stuff. He's looking for a collapse of the dollar, this should help commodities like gold and oil.
He always talks in riddles. How's the pecan crop this year? I had lots of walnuts but the squirrels got em all.
This should scare people!
I wonder if more Africans will start pouring in to the U.S. illegally once Obama becomes President?
The adventures of Baracchio part1 and 2
The Obama campaign has decided to heave out three newspapers from its plane for the final days of its blitz across battleground states -- and all three endorsed Sen. John McCain for president!
The NY POST, WASHINGTON TIMES and DALLAS MORNING NEWS have all been told to move out by Sunday to make room for network bigwigs -- and possibly for the inclusion of reporters from two black magazines, ESSENCE and JET, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Despite pleas from top editors of the three newspapers that have covered the campaign for months at extraordinary cost, the Obama campaign says their reporters -- and possibly others -- will have to vacate their coveted seats so more power players can document the final days of Sen. Barack Obama's historic campaign to become the first black American president.
MORE
Some told the DRUDGE REPORT that the reporters are being ousted to bring on documentary film-makers to record the final days; others expect to see on board more sympathetic members of the media, including the NY TIMES' Maureen Dowd, who once complained that she was barred from McCain's Straight Talk Express airplane.
After a week of quiet but desperate behind-the-scenes negotiations, the reporters of the three papers heard last night that they were definitely off for the final swing. They are already planning how to cover the final days by flying commercial or driving from event to event.
Joe the Plumber...must see
Your points are well taken gb. The spike in oil took everyone by surprise including Allenergy imo. The business plan was based on oil prices at the time. If they thought they could make a profit then.....why not now?
I wonder if the main street press will look into this? That was shocking.
They've survived when oil was $20 to $40 a barrel so I think they can scratch through these hard times that are ahead. There might be an opportunity to pick up some leases on more favorable terms and up production. I wonder if they'll postpone drilling for the rest of the year and concentrate on production, increasing revenue? Interesting times we live in.
I thought it was hilarious when Congress brought in Greenspan for questioning....did he cause the current crisis? He looks like he's 100 years old and probably doesn't remember. Hard to believe he's married to Andrea Mitchell. When the hard left takes over, Congress will probably burn Republicans at the stake. They're saying they will prosecute the Bush Administration. Here's a link to an interview of Joe Biden by a reporter thats not afraid to ask serious questions. Enjoy.
That is incredible. $300 Million of school money wipe out and now they're $200 Million in debt to renovate Boone Pickens Stadium. I wonder how much of his own fortune is gone as well?
The left is raking Palin over the coals. SNL did a Palin Bush skit that made them look like idiots. Where is the equal treatment? Mrs. Obama reminds me of Aunt Esther on Sanford and Sons TV show. Lots of good material there! Why can't they make fun of her?
Drudge Headline shocker...developing
20 year old woman McCain volunteer attacked and mutilated in Pittsburgh...a B carved into her face with a knife.
Twenty investors plunking down $10K each would wipe out the restricted stock that may be coming to market. That's if its all for sale which I doubt. You picked a good time to be in SEK, the weather has been fantastic. Thanks for sharing the info with the board.
Interesting read on commodities gold and crude.
Gold and oil prices show continued instability as financial markets falter worldwide, but a new report predicts that the trend will ultimately see dramatic increases over time. For more information, read the following article from Money Morning:
"Analysts led by Francisco Blanch at Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. wrote in a research report that gold could reach $1,500 an ounce. Worldwide plans to bail out the global financial industry are certain to fuel inflation.
The Merrill Lynch analysts also predicted that oil would reach $150 a barrel.
In the research note released earlier this week, the analysts said “the unintended consequence of the ongoing financial bailout will be inflationary pressures to the commodity markets.”
The analysts provided no timetable for their predictions.
The $700 billion U.S. bailout—plus the billions of dollars in capital infusions that have been put in place by governments and central banks all over the world—will be highly inflationary, analysts say. Historically, this type of move has been very bad for the U.S. dollar and highly bullish for oil prices.
“This is a very interesting projection,” said Money Morning Investment Director Keith Fitz-Gerald. “I have no idea what they’re basing their numbers on. But I certainly wouldn’t dismiss it based on everything I know about global trends, and my own proprietary calculations—which continue to suggest far higher prices for oil and hard assets than even Merrill is predicting.”
While Fitz-Gerald said that doesn’t mean there won’t be a continued near-term drop in gold and oil prices, he continues to believe the long-term outlook is for much-higher prices.

Are you referring to the anti-christ? Yikes!
You're a true American. Too bad the rest of the country doesn't hold your point of view. This morning Colin Powell endorsed Obama, he put the knife in the Repubs back and turned it. Where would he be if not for Bush Sr. and Swartzkoff? I'm beginning to think it would be better for McCain/Palin that they don't get elected, they'll never be able to work with Congress if Obama is defeated. The MSM is so liberal and biased and in the tank for Obama they don't try to hide it, I hope it backfires. I tried to watch a SNL sketch of Obama/McCain debate but had to turn it off. They portrayed McCain as a doddering fool with an imaginary friend named Joe the Plumber, but didn't poke any fun at Obama. They also bashed Bush and made fun of Palin.
The flippers got foo-barred on Allenergy pizza-dude. The stock lost its fizz. We need big momo bang bang.
This has been very painful for shareholders to watch gb. It's been a slow and a deliberate decline. Just when you think it can't possibly go any lower, it does. When I sell stock, I generally put in the order as high or higher than the ask. This seller or sellers over the past year have been constantly selling at the bid, completely taking out all the support. They seem to let up for a day or two waiting for the bids to build back up and then wham. Now we have a market cap of a little over $1M. They sold one of their leases this year for $500,000, half of the present market cap. I think there is value here if they will only release more information to the market.
I'm just grasping at straws here.....
but the TA is ungagged, and so one could surmise there will be no more dilution. One might also conclude that the company is making enough revenue from oil-gas sales/well services to pay the bills and break even or perhaps make a profit. The last Ball well was very good, over 24 feet of Redd Sands, we could hear something positive there. We need some confirmation from Allenergy in the way of production reports, a financial statement and some buying interest for a change. These shares that are being sold now are sold for a loss. I do feel your pain, but what can we do but hold on?
Last time I checked Hemi was under 2 cents, so how hard is Keith working? What will you say when Hemi drops to a penny?
Liberal super majority coming. Gasp!

Get a grip, the TA is ungagged. The O/S hasn't changed. I like to know who is selling at a penny as well. Whomever it is didn't buy them this cheap. I doubt very much if Larry is selling restricted stock for a penny.

Who was the Einstein that tanked oil at $140 a barrel?
I"ll give you a hint, it wasn't Larry Sanford.
Fox has a program on now about the crisis, doesn't look good for Chris, Barney, Chuckie and Barry. Why doesn't the main stream media do some reporting? If it were Republicans, they'd be all over it!
