You're just a bit early, Belgie. That was in mid-August. Fun trip and got to meet some folks from this board. In addition to our lunch, I went panning with copytele at Crow Creek in Alaska and spent some time with Paul Sr., Debbie and Paul III in Walnut Grove.
I'll be in San Antonio in a couple of weeks. Planning to get together with 8. Hey, I might even get to meet his better half.
Dino
Oh woe is me!
Dino
I'm sure there was no pun intended.

GORO's stated dividend policy has been to divide gross earnings approximately into thirds. 1/3 goes to taxes, 1/3 goes to exploration and development, and 1/3 goes to dividends. Notice I didn't reference share price.
I'm expecting an increase since they announced $0.15/share earnings. That should translate to 5 cents/share/year or about $0.004/share monthly dividend.

The PR says that it is expected during this week. Unfortunately, the Mexican government has apparently decided to make it difficult for US companies to provide jobs for Mexicans by slowing imports. The technique is simple. Require detailed inspections - including unloading of cargoes - and assessing fees for that "service". Not only does it make it difficult and time consuming to ship to Mexico, but it runs up the cost of the items being shipped.
Sort of a Pyrrhic victory. Those costs, and especially the unpredictability of delivery, discourages small companies from selling products to Mexicans and raises the cost for Mexican consumers.
Dino
15 years that I know of and I think he'd been in the business quite a while when I met him.
Dino
You left out the pictures, Gene.

I especially like the one of Paul holding Sunday's New York Times.

Haven't talked to him in a long time. Wouldn't do any good even if I wanted to (I don't) or if I did. He's in business to make money. That's how it's done. In the meantime, enjoy the liquidity he provides so you can buy and sell this and other stocks.
Dino
They are all different people/companies. I know one of them personally & know he has no other DBAs. However, he does have lots of friends in the business and a telephone. Besides, each MM tracks the stated market position of each of their competitors. Since BB stock bid/offer are what the MM wants to show, they can drop/increase the bid/ask at will.
In the long run, they have to reflect the actual orders from brokers, but "In the long run, we are all dead." - John Maynard Keynes

Very common.
Dino
NO fair, JTrox. You type faster than I do.
Dino
T-Hawk, perhaps this will help.
For a good, readable, description of what they're doing, read https://www.911metallurgist.com/blog/op ... on-process. (The website has a lot of good information.) Scroll down to the design parameters table and you'll see where they agree with 8's estimates. For the purists among us, look at http://www.denvermineral.com/Pdfs/Merrill-CroweS.pdf. That's the original method description. There have been a lot of tweaks to the process since then.
I think the recovery range is based on how much zinc powder was used as well as how much copper, lead, and other minerals are also dissolved. Oh yeah, if you use too much calcium on the heap, you'll have some of that in the tray, too. In other words, while amateurs can do it, to do it right takes a pro.
I doubt that all of the factors can be predicted ahead of time, hence, lots of "tuning" and maybe even some additional equipment/steps to optimize the yield. However, it's definitely worth the wait.
Dino
Gene, I use Scottrade in a similar manner. I also use a VPN that makes it look like I'm in Germany. They've never refused to buy Mexus stock. I don't know about selling since I've never sold any.
I am a US citizen and they know that, so that may be the defining factor.
Dino
Question for today:
Which weighs more, a pound of gold or a pound of feathers?
Dino
Slight correction. Gold is measured in Troy ounces. That means 31.10348g grams/oz. For BOE usage, we usually use 31.
Dino
Maybe they're looking at the June contract (near month), Spot missed it by 15 cents.

I thought it was a bargain, so I bought another 20,000.
Sorry Shotgun, it was at the ask.
Dino
Then you would complain that we don't know what's going on. Go back and look at the old posts - if they're still up on RB. See how many people complained, including you, as I recall that the only source of information about the company was the educated guesses from eigthaero.
And, when he guessed wrong, the complaints were even more strident. PT is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. In this case, it's not even PT: it's Marco.
Dino
How do you think they will test and calibrate the leaching without actually doing some?
He probably doesn't want to say its in production until the recovery rate is near optimum. That will take the "few days" to determine.
You're right about one thing, though. "Some people are just too stubborn to ever admit they are wrong."
Dino
"He also said:
Quote:The costs of producing an ounce of gold at the San Elena will be $450 an ounce.
Again, lacking a bankable feas. study, that is a guess. The SEC frowns upon guesses."
So. You object to a WAG, but not a SWAG?
Dino
Sorry, thought I had one.
Dino
I couldn't resist this price. I just bought more - on margin.
Dino
No, I don't.
The PR stated that the new project would begin after St. Elena was in full production. They hope that the permits will be in hand by that time, but they are NOT going to spread their resources out until after they have positive cash flow. If the permits - which are a relatively minor expense - come in tomorrow, they'll still wait.
I read that as a sign of smart management.
Dino
There's no way it won't happen. Management controls enough shares to vote it in. They're asking for a vote to make it look good.
Dino
I think it was Baron Rothschild. Also William, Lord Reese-Moog. Of course, he was quoting the Baron.
Dino
My guess is Julio.
Dino
We were going to stay at a campground there, but they were too ritzy. Plus, they had a minimum stay and we want to get to Fallon, NV to visit my grandson. He just got back from Korea.
Dino
Spent the afternoon with copytele panning at the Crow Creek mine. Only got a few flakes (gold, that is), but fun and good conversation. Leaving Alaska 8 August, heading to Walnut Creek to visit Debbie and PT if he's in town. Posting this while sitting next to a gas station in Girdwood - only wi-fi around.
Belgie, we'll be coming down I5. Would love to meet you when we pass through. PM me contact info and I'll call to set something up.
Dino
Sounds like I95.
Dino
If there's a branch of BofA near you, you can just deposit a check to their account. That's what I do. Then I send her an email to let her know it's there.
Dino
I used to work with a fellow who grew up next door to Roy. During WWII, his parents, 2nd(?) generation Japanese immigrants, were sent to a camp for the duration of the war. Roy and Dale took care of their farm, brought in the crop, sold it and put the money in a bank for them. When the war ended and they returned, the farm was in good shape and they had a lot of money in the bank.
They named their son Roy Dale.
Dino
I'm not sure if this is the same ship.

This one doesn't seem to be using its transponder.
Dino
Hopefully, not in my lifetime.
Dino
Would you please PM me contact information? I think I'll be in your area the second week of August. I'm driving I5 from the border to Sacramento. Maybe we can also meet for a drink or something.
Dino
Mauldin still thinks the world as we know it ended with Y2K. I haven't read a word he's written since then.
Dino
No and No. Mammar is a private company. Apparently, the Mexicans don't feel that you have to have a website to be in business.
Here's the latest PR:http://www.mexusgoldus.com/news.php
Dino
You were quoting from it. If you mean a formal one, that's mentioned three sentences down.
" In addition, the certified geologists will begin a drill program that will be the basis of creating an NI 43-101."
Dino
I asked Debbie last night to get us some clarification for us.
Dino
Because the new agreement isn't as clear on that point as the one with Argonaut. This agreement says " Under the 50/50 joint venture agreement, MarMar will operate the mine and carry all costs." That doesn't necessarily mean that they won't be reimbursed from the proceeds before the split.
8 seems to feel that the split will occur on the gross. I hope he's right.
