Big Mess! Looks like Jimmy Johnson getting too old to drive his car straight???? :>
Maybe I should start picking only players from my Fantasy Team, as my hitters are all raking! That said, I do not want to jinx any of them!
Well, I almost lost the 2 just now!
LOL! I have a season high of 7 so far??????
That is going to happen. Seems most of the leaders here are safe, but think you had the 78 and he is a mess.
WOW! How did Harvick get through that! Lot's of drivers with accordianed cars now!
Definitely a feel good story, but transition to the NFL is going to be really tough? Is Seattle in a 3-4 or 4-3 now, as with his size, 3-4 would have him at ILB which could really be tough getting off blocks with the one hand. Could be a great situational pass rusher and special teamer though. Kid has tons of talent. If his brother were not in Seattle, probably would have been a 7th Rounder or UDFA.
2,4,22 Please
That is exactly why that trade was perfect for both teams!
NYG's O next year could be a lot of fun to watch!
By the way, thanks for the Sale trade! WOW, Moncada is starting to shine! That said, I am rooting for Sale to give your Sox a very nice run this year!
Saw he got a 2B tonight too. Chapman got me my save!!!!!!
All is good! I could use a Chapman Save!
And just like that, Andujar starts his next Extra Base Hit streak!
Just saw. Need Andujar to start hitting again. Now is not the time to slow down!
WOW! Took down some big streaks, but not Jared at 31. For him, it appears Altuve got a hit and I need a Machado hit to keep my meager 7 game streak alive, so he can wash out tomorrow!
Yep, and since Chuck was cheap, the Red Sox got him from Baltimore, then your Yankees did.
WOW! Hard to fathom just how much in debt the game of baseball is to Singy old Charles Comiskey! He actually had a chance to get Babe Ruth before the Yankees???? I never knew that! Baseball is so lucky that did not happen, as you can be sure that the boozing, womanizing Babe would have easily fallen in with the Black Sox in 1919 and the baseball world would have never known how great of a player he was to be, much like Shoeless Joe. Today, we would have stories about a mythical Great Bambino and how great he would have been...
Thing is, if 1919 never happened, the 1920's would have been one of the best decades in baseball history. That White Sox team was flat out loaded and would have been going toe to toe with the Yankees on a yearly basis.
Big blow to the Brewers losing Thames for a good chunk of time.
Moncada is looking more and more like he is finally settling in and about to become an outright stud. His leadoff HR vs King Felix was just blistered!
Fingers crossed! My biggest issue on my team is solidifying my starting rotation. Was hoping Wheeler may have put his arm injuries behind him and was emerging to be the pitcher he was before all the issues started!
The migraine sure could explain why Drury never has quite lived up to potential. If/When he is healthy though, a huge log jam is there unless Bird's ankle remains "Bird's Ankle" and is not healthy. Who stays and who has to go and who gets the PT. Thing is, if Andujar keeps raking and Torres plays to ability, they cannot be moved.
Wheeler has to look better! Picked him up this week thinking he may be rounding into the SP he was supposed to be.
Fuzzy up to 14 on BTS, Impressive! Cannot believe the top of the overall leaderboard, with two at 31 and two at 29. They have to lose soon, so my money stays intact for when I make my run!
MLB needs to institute new rules for these batters wearing body armor to the plate! Dee Gordon just got 1st B, by sticking his armor protected elbow out to take the impact of the ball. If nothing else, I would like for MLB to be able to review such incidents after the game and if ruled a player intentionally used their body armor to take a hit from the ball and get on base, they should be suspended for the next game! Either that, or lose the right to wear body armor for the rest of the season!
Do not do that! I am playing the best team in our league this week, so need every point possible!
LOL! Have to feel bad for Zunnino! First he hits his pitcher on the throw to 2B, then shortly thereafter, commits rarest of base running gaffes leading to a little league double play!
They said tonight on Sox Broadcast that Luke Appling back in the days before stats like this were kept supposedly fouled off 24 pitches in a 27 pitch AB. That said, may only be legend, since no official records on that kept back then.
I feel bad for my opponent this week, just between Didi, Haniger, Moncada and Andujar tonight, I have 47 points and counting!
Make sure to watch highlights of the Sox V Mariners tonight! Mike Zunnino did what I am not sure has ever been done in the Majors and I am sure I have never seen it before. With Adam Engel attempting to steal 2nd, Zunnino beaned the pitcher in his back on his attempted throw! LOL
REALLYY??????? Andjuar with a 2B now too? WOW!
Moncada may finally be breaking out! Huge week last week, then a 3B, 2B and now a HR in his first three AB's tonight.
As a side note, Eloy Jimenez is looking like he wants to speed up his promotion. Took him a couple of games since coming back from his injury, but smacked 2 HR's tonight.
WOW!
Watching MLB Network and they were gushing over that one! This kid looks like he is going to be something special. While his power stats are impressive, even more so, having only 8 KO's in 50+ AB's! Not many rookies going to come up and do that these days.
Meanwhile, Wally Pipp, I mean Andujar, keeps raking!
Drury can play 1st. Like it or not, if Bird indeed finally gets healthy, it may do him some good to take most if not all of the year at AAA, as his ankle issues may have allowed hitches in his swing to develop. Basically, make him force his way up!
What the heck? Why no get the tendon problem fixed given the time is now for the Rookie Dynamic Duo???
I would not judge Torres by this game today. Imagine the pressure on that young kid, having been anointed the next great star and getting his first game in Yankee Stadium?
Andujar is turning into an outright beast!
