MLB needs to institute new rules for these batters wearing body armor to the plate! Dee Gordon just got 1st B, by sticking his armor protected elbow out to take the impact of the ball. If nothing else, I would like for MLB to be able to review such incidents after the game and if ruled a player intentionally used their body armor to take a hit from the ball and get on base, they should be suspended for the next game! Either that, or lose the right to wear body armor for the rest of the season!
