Everybody has different goals in their investing. I always like to sell some shares to get some of my capital back. Nothing wrong with a profit here and there and getting some of your investment back.
Broke $9 yesterday. Is this the beginning of a strong rally bull market for SOFI? I hope so, about time, just need to be patient. Hope it emulates PLTR which I also owned but have sold out just lately. Wish I had held a small position of PLT for the real long term time horizon.
Did he respond as to why everything is being delayed? for both WDHI and HNRC?
I did the same, mine got taken away in the low 20's, not all of them, regret that decision, so I started to buy call options and sometimes some puts, 5 to 10 contracts at a time, been working so far.
I would think that some of the funds had already started to purchase some shares, not necessarily the index funds but other funds as well. This week should be interesting.
What type of news is eminent regarding HNRC?
Some nice volume today. Maybe a start of something positive for once.
It will be interesting, already hit 34.06 in first 40 minutes. Will be glued to PC screen all morning.
It will be interesting to see what transpires tomorrow morning around the open and all day Monday on this news of being updated to the S&P. Hopefully, I can make some good coin on this postion.
It will be very interesting to see what the Sept 20 and Sept 27 calls do over the next two or three weeks. I have 5 long calls each at strike price 33. The S&P 500 index will have to purchase PLTR and two other stocks that got added, but also sell the three stocks that got kicked out. DELL and ERIE got added along with PLTR. I would think there will be a lot of buying over the next two weeks, probably some selling, flipping back and forth as well. Believe they have to rebalance by Sept 23, a Monday. I believe there are other indexes that mimic the S&P 500 as well, but do not know exactly how they work. Will be interesting to say the least.
Not a bad strategy. Breakeven would be around $10-11 share price so 22 months for time period. You can control more shares with this option if you wanted to. I have to believe that this stock will be over 10-12 bucks in the next year or two. I own around 4000 shares, sold about 500 shares a week or two ago for some small profits.
Well, we shall see. Started investing in 2014 when it was a private company called Ludvik Holdings. The time it has taken for this spinoff is a joke, should never take that amount of time. Very disappointed to say the least. I am not optimistic about this investment.
People sometimes dump many shares for a tax loss, but typically that is done at year end to offset one's gains, who knows?
I believe you are correct in your assessment. Typically, people talk about what it is worth on a capital basis.
I agree with your first paragraph, have a third group of competitors, the trans competing against themselves, so a male division, a female division and a trans division and three types of bathrooms. Right, so let's now only now worry about how IQST is going to turn around the stock price going forward over the next six to nine months.
Well said. What really bothers me the most is these trans men who have become supposedly women, get to compete in sports against women in many areas of the country, not all places but enough to make women very uneasy. Also, sharing of bathrooms, etc. Based on what I was taught in school and church, from a biology point of view, only two genders, male and female. Also, when government interferes with the rights of parents, that becomes a major issue.
damn good price, good for you
It will be many years before we know about the average age of trannies life expectancy. This whole thing about sex change has just been in the news lately, maybe, the last 10 years or so, maybe a few years longer, so we probably will not know for another 30 plus years or so. A person should be 18 years or older before they have such an operation on their bodies. How does a nine-year-old kid know what he is at that point? Regarding, IQST, we need net earnings growing and the next two or three quarters should enlighten most of us. If revenues keep growing and after three more quarters of financial statements starting with the second quarter of 2024, we do not have any earnings, not a good sign or omen.
I was aware that they had a loss in the first qtr. I was just using my explanation as an example, that if this company would just earn $250K each quarter in net earnings this year, they would have a 12% return on their investment based on their equity. Is that enough, no but a company needs to start earning something each quarter. Even $1M in earnings in one year is only about .005 cents a share, less than a penny in EPS. Also, market PE's are high now across the board, so if we say it should trade at a PE of 30, that is only a stock price of .15 cents. In conclusion, this company and stock has a long ways to go to get where most people think it should be at.
Yes, but at this point, I would like to see just earnings of $250K per quarter, which is not a lot, however, if one looks at this company from an equity point of view and a return on investment, or equity, they had $8.522M in equity end of 1st Qtr. 2024, or maybe end of 12/31/2023, not sure which date. If they just earned $1M this year, their return would be 12%, which is pretty good from an equity return. Is this enough, no, but they need to consistently show improvement each quarter. Increasing revenues without having any earnings or small earnings will not get this stock to where we all want it to be. Increasing revenues without having any profits in the long term is a losing proposition. Need to build their net earnings substantially.
Well, the average life expectancy of a US male is around 73 based upon information I gathered from the internet in 2021 tables, overall, it is around 77. Puts you at 77-78. I am 74, hard to believe how time moves on so quickly.
It will be very interesting to see the next two to three quarterly financials. The two latest companies that they have purchased had net earnings, which should translate into earnings for IQST if managed properly. At some point, increasing revenues need to create net earnings, which is the main objective of every company, small or large, new or old, does not matter, positive earnings will give you the opportunity to grow, without relying on more debt and more stock shares issued. We shall see over the next six to nine months what we really have here.
Well, I am not going anywhere, see my other respond a few minutes ago.
You may be exactly right on, which begs the question, how long before this company becomes positive net earnings on a quarterly basis??? This quarter, qtr. ending 9/30 and 12/31 will give us a much better idea on how those two latest acquisitions have done for IQST. Will be interesting.
A 1% increase in price would equate to $2.9M in extra revenue if the base revenue was $290M. Does not sound like much, but maybe they are constricted at what they are currently pricing their products, do not know, but one would think based on revenue sales of $290M, a 1% increase would be insignificant to the buyers, put it another way, if a projected sale was $100K, a 1% increase would only be $1K, so my question is this, what is preventing them from such a minor increase in price? other competition?
Good for you!!!
Obviously, must have been a limit order because a market order would have sold immediately. So, the limit order must have been above the bid/ask price when you put it in. So they must have had a glitch in their trading platform for that to occur. I have had a problem or two trying to trade in Etrade in the past, not available, system was down, was the explanation.
They are talking about gross profit, not net profit.
You are correct, believe they have had two or three quarters of positive earnings, would love to see a nice boast in earnings for this 2nd qtr.
Good for you. I got involved in the IPO, did not have alot of shares but pocketed about $6-7K and after it dropped, I started buying in, my cost basis is around $11-13 bucks but have been buying more to get it lower. Long term, this will be a big winner but need to be patient.
Yes and by reducing debt, they decrease their interest expense substantially which obviously will help them increase their earnings. I like the CEO, and they are a different type of bank, not the normal brick and mortar bank, kind of like a hybrid bank and fin technology company. Young people are leaving brick and mortar banks for companies like this. I have been disappointed by the stock price action so far but believe this could be a big winner down the road, the question is when? a year, two years, three years, etc? They are growing their revenues, just need to grow their earnings now.
Total debt is $2,895 Billion as of 3/31/24. Just looked at the financials on Morgan Stanley, good improvement from the previous quarter. Will be interesting to see if it keeps decreasing with this next quarter's financials.
On March 3, 2024 it hit $27.50 based on the yahoo chart. Did close at $26.04. On January 24, 2021 did hit $45 for high.
Well, I think the next three or four quarters should tell us a lot about how the two new companies are being assimilated into IQST, as to revenue growth, gross margins, net earnings, etc. Like I have indicated in past comments by myself, I want to see how the equity continues to grow as well plus the return on equity. I believe their equity as of 3/31/24 was around $8,522M or so. Needless to say, it will be interesting to say the least.
Valid point but some people are not and seem to keep bringing it up, gets old. With the internet nowadays, so easy to just take some effort and google whatever you need to know or ask. Now, sometimes rules do change every once in a while, for example, IRS tax code changes whenever politicians want to please their constituents, senators and house of representatives enact new tax law changes.
All, additional information on uplist to NASDAQ

Another wards folks, different ways to get on and stay on, always some exceptions!!! All one needs to do is to google this: What Are the Listing Requirements for the NASDAQ? I bypassed a few other points or rules, no need to list them all here.
All, many rules to follow to list up to NASDAQ

Continue, many rules to follow
Sooner or later, it will close above $27, high for the year was $27.50. It could happen tomorrow or next week or this month. More good things occurring now in the markets, but who knows, some disaster could occur any day and affect the overall market immediately and we have a major correction.
Well, looks like i have joined a fraternity of old farts!!! I am 74 years old and one must enjoy life whenever you can, one day at a time.
The bottom line or net earnings is the end goal of every company. Its all about ROI or ROE, Return on Investment or Return on Equity. It starts with revenues but it ends with net earnings and then you have to have growth on your earnings. Successful companies do that, but it is hard to maintain.
well, once something is put in print or the media, difficult to retract it, right!!! Do I think IQST and iQSTEL will improve or have the ability to improve sales for LYNK, yes, but not to that extent, and if their sales are much lower than his forecast, not good for PR or the stock price.
