Looks like a "fire" sale in pennyland today.
Just glad I got into NPYC which is holding up my portfolio now.
Not nickles and dimes - down .21 today - not just a shake but a CA earthquake. This should shake out the last of the weak hands.
Anybody else notice the most of the trades are for small amounts, less than 1,000 shares. Just don't understand trades for 100 shares = less than $200!
After 911 I did not sell, but averaged down on several positions I owned and was amply rewarded. Of course this was a unique event but I remember someone saying buy when there is blood in the streets.
Welcome to our board. I agree that we have all had enough of Hussler's useless posts as they just clog up our board and provide no usefull information. We are all frustrated at the lack of an announcement of new locations or franchise sales.
You are correct that uWnk is a new concept and it appears that Nolan is on the right track as from all reports, the restaurant has been doing great. Franchise sales will follow, just a matter of time.
Just stumbled on this but always like to see good things about uWnk.

Nolan Securities Corporation is an investment banking boutique for experienced professionals, advising companies and sourcing, structuring and executing deals.
Our focus is addressing the corporate finance needs of small and micro capitalization public companies, with market capitalizations in the $100 to $750 million range. Our advisory and investment banking services also include initial public offerings for issuers who will have after-deal market capitalization of $100 million or more, and private placements in the $10 to $25 million range.
In order for us to undertake an assignment, our policy is that one or more members of our team must have strong background on and familiarity with the industry structures of a client company's business.
Our firm is institutionally-focused, with no retail distribution. In situations where retail distribution is desirable, we partner with firms with the appropriate capabilities. The firm is an NASD-registered broker dealer trading and clearing as an introducing broker on a fully disclosed basis through Pershing & Company, a subsidiary of the Bank of New York.
In addition to the primary focus of our firm as outlined above, we offer advisory and placement agent services to venture capital, private capital, and hedge fund sponsors.
Bruce Kelly, President, has been an investment banker focused on micro and small cap companies for twenty years. Before joining Nolan, he was founder and Chairman of Newgrange Financial and a Baird Patrick investment banker focused on technology and insurance. Previously he was a consultant with McKinsey & Co, and as an entrepreneur was co-founder of Technology Transfer, a trading company, Intex, a software and services company which later went public, and Solar Power Corporation, financed and later bought out by Exxon. Earlier, he was Manager of R&D at Gulf + Western and a consultant on non-conventional energy to the United Nations. He received his masters and bachelors degrees from NYU.
If I understand this correctly, the FOX video was shown to millions of LA area residents who were watching 24. This is awsome FREE publicity. I wouldn't even try to give it a $$$$$$ value!
I would further venture that some of the recent buying is coming from people who were at uWnk for the 24 party.
I also feel that the news of additional locations or a franchise sale will give uWNK legs to run a marathon.

Thanks for the correction on Gaslamp Quarter. I was there about 10 yrs ago and enjoyed it but understand it is still expanding. I think it would be a good location, attracting more tourists than a mall would and the evening tab would be much larger than a lunch tab as most people don't have drinks with lunch. Also most people don't have time to enjoy appetizers or dessert at lunch.
I would also love to see San Diego as the next location. There was recently an article in the paper on how "hot" the Gaslight District has become.
I owned 3 restaurants, pizza, subs, dinners, etc. 70% of my business was delivery.
I bought the first restaurant and opened the next 2. Both were conversions from previous restaurants. I had "wild" dreams of franchising these someday but soon learned that is a very complicated route. I sold them in 1990. Because I used a conveyor oven I needed a huge space with vents and this was done in less than 3 months in both locations. I found the inspections were the worst delay. None of these had a liquor license. I "spruced" up the decor in the dining rooms which had max occupancy of 40. Ordering the new custom signage took all of 3 months. These were small restaurants in strip shopping malls.
Based on my experience, existing locations may be more difficult to find considering I only needed 2,500 to 3,000 sq. ft. and UWNK will require a mim of 5,000 sq. ft.
A Shotsky's Deli went out of business near here and a Popeye's will be opening shortly. Looking at the free standing building in a huge Wall Mart Supercenter mall, I doubt that it could have been converted as it does not appear to be large enough plus the demographics are not what UWNK wants/needs.
If a franchisee needs to start from the "dirt" it will take him well over a year to build and building and get it up and running.

I have seen so many articles about Nolan but have not seen this. It is an old interview but reveals a lot about him.
May I add my thanks for your link. I think the main thing from this type of post is that he has no UWNK agenda and took the time to write a review that we all appreciate and I noticed three readers posted comments.
It appears that the current UWNK traffic is all "word of mouth" or like he siad - just getting noticed by people in the mall.
I think that will change very soon and Friday and Saturdays will be jammed.
Can I ask how you see/know the orders that are at $2? I have Level II but maybe I don't have it set up right.
Thanks
I was born in the Midwest and my daughter and family live in Glen Ellyn. Whenever we are back there we MUST have the Chicago Stuffed Pizza but I still like the New York thin crust. Here in Arizona they have Mexican pizzas so I know that pizza toppings can be adapted for any region. The crust however is another story.
Our favorite bottle of wine is Silver Oak and we have taken it to restaurants where we know it is not available but have always been charged a corkage fee. Is no-corkage fee a UWNK thing or did you receive special treatment?
Question?? A few years ago, I assisted a friend in opening his 3rd Quiznos. Almost all the food was ordered/delivered thru the corporation. This included breads, soups, meats, sauces, etc. Only soda and fresh produce were ordered locally.
Do you know if/how UWNK will deal with franchise/company restaurants? I would think Quiznos makes additional $$ because everything had the Quiznos name on it.
I don't know how other franchise restaurants control quality and uniformity.
I sold my 3 pizza/sub restaurants in 1990. My main restaurant prepared spice packets for each sauce used so all the dishes/pizzas served tasted the same and used the same ingredients.
The UWNK menu appears to have been created for the "LA" crowd but would the same menu be as popular in other parts of the country? What about his plans to go international? Same menu? Will franchise owners be permitted to add/delete menu items to the UQNK menu?
I do recall my last visit to the local Chuck E. Cheese in the early 1980s. It definitely showed wear and tear, games had out of order signs, unfriendly waiter, poor lighting and the pizza tasted like cardborad with ketchup. With 3 bored kids we decided there was no reason to return.
I am sure Nolan learned a great deal with the CEC experience and that education will have value in UWNK.
I think UWNK would make a great place for a family reunion (small family). Everyone could bring the baby, wedding and fun pictures and they could be projected for all to see and enjoy.

Someone asked what this was so I went searching.
Correction ---- Need to eliminate the last line words "except for its Board composition" ad I feel UWNK will not have any problem in that area.
I know we are all looking for the day when UWNK can apply for a move to the NASDQ. FRPT applied yesterday and the stock went from $10.82 to $11.83 a gain of 15.30%. With 51.09 m shares, I would think that UWNK would beat that considering it's much smaller float.
Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRPT) today announced its application for listing of its common stock on the NASDAQ Capital Market. The Company believes it meets all of the listing criteria except for its Board composition.

Real time quote.
uWink, Inc. (OTCBB: UWNK), a publicly held digital entertainment company, will host a charity Grand Opening event benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) on November 30, 2006. The celebration will be held at uWink's newly opened Woodland Hills location from 6:00pm - 10:00pm.
The invitation-only event will offer guests the opportunity to experience uWink's innovative combination of food, drinks and media first-hand while helping raise awareness and funds for the JDRF, the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide.
"We are so excited to be able to leverage the buzz and excitement around the opening of the first uWink restaurant to help fight a disease that has personally touched so many families, including my own," said Mr. Bushnell, chief executive officer at uWink, Inc. "So many children who suffer from juvenile diabetes are robbed of a normal childhood and are unable to experience all the activities that come so easily to healthy children. We understand that longing for fun, entertainment and social connectivity; our restaurant was built on that exact premise. We hope that by joining with the JDRF we're able to help these kids get one step closer to a cure."
The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Type 1 diabetes is a disease which strikes children suddenly and requires multiple injections of insulin daily or a continuous infusion of insulin through a pump to manage the disease's symptoms. There is no known cure for diabetes, which can eventually cause kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, stroke, and amputation. The JDRF estimates that as many as three million Americans may be suffering from type 1 diabetes.
uWink is an entirely new restaurant concept that combines food, drinks, and entertainment - inviting guests to eat, drink and play at the same time, from their tables. The first restaurant opened last month at the Westfield Promenade in Woodland Hills, California. uWink is the latest innovation from Nolan Bushnell, the founder and former CEO of Atari and the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant chain - now CEC Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:CEC). Guests order food, drinks and media directly via touchscreen terminals at their tables while uWink runners deliver guests' selections quickly and accurately. Guests can participate in the entire uWink experience as a single table, engage other tables, or eventually interact with guests and tables at other uWink restaurants.
Attendance at uWink's grand opening celebration is by invitation only. For information on receiving an invitation, please send an email to benefit4diabetes@yahoo.com. For more information on the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, please visit www.jdrf.org.

WOW! What a way to celebrate their Grand Opening. Is this FIRST CLASS or what?
$1.85 taken out ask now $1.95
Our baby has taken off and is flying!
UWNK is bouncing around like a "PONG" ball, all over the place.
I am not inlove with E-Trade either but as a Brown & Co. investor, I got booted over to E-Trade.
Thanks will check out Fidelity.

E-Trade does not allow placement of a market order on OTC stocks. Do other brokerage houses allow a market order? If so, can you tell me who?
Thanks,
Laverne
The theatre would be a good place for UWNK as an advertising medium. A few video clips showing the people having fun along with pictures of the food should entice a few to stop in for an after theatre bit of fun or food.
Hi farmer, your pigs are hungry - go feed them. Don't waste your time looking at charts - obvious you don't know how to read them!
We all want the same thing, a move off the OTC. Notice a few new MMs on the bid today? DOMS sat at $1.24 for a long time then dropped way down. VIEW is another one that is currently sitting at $1.24 bid wants to sell his shares at $1.47! DOMS now wants $2 for his shares. LOL
I have been swing trading UWNK the past month and am currently holding 25,000 shares at ave of $1.05. Agree it is not pleasant to watch profits vanish but I have taken plenty of them, used the cash to add more shares. Waiting for a cash transfer to post to buy another 5,000. Plan on trying to steal some on Monday.
Everyone enjoy your weekend.
Rudy, thanks for the link. The restaurant looks really cool and classy. Touch screens showing the menu items make me hungry. A bit to far to drive for me as I am in Arizona.

Were you there today? Don't keep us in suspense!
I think a webcam would be a GREAT idea. In fact 2 of them, one outside and one inside. Put it up on their website, then people could see all the fun going on. Also would show if there are lines of people waiting for tables.
CSHD had 67.2 M. shares outstanding
UWNK has 19.0 M. shares outstanding
UWNK doing just fine - our baby is crawling very nicely. It will walk soon.
