only new news I see that hasn't been PR'ed:
Fins & SKins Media has announced their new partnership with E21 fishing and E21 golf. This fishing and golf corporation has brought new technology to these two great sports. You need to check out the latest on their web sites. Look for the new Henry Waszczuk Signature Series "Carrot Stix" freshwater and saltwater rods coming your way in 2008. The new rods are incredibily sensitive, have greater power for longer casts and of course, will help you land the Big One!

Fins & Skins Media is proud to announce that over the first two quarters of 2007, the award winning TV Series, Fishing the Flats produced and hosted by Henry Waszczuk has been the #1 show in the FOX outdoor block lineup. The new graphics and dynamic fish-stalking segments have kept the viewers excited to tune in week after week.
Element 21 Golf reports shafts played on all three men's tours
TORONTO, Ontario -- Element 21 Golf Company ("e21") the manufacturer of advanced Scandium Alloy golf equipment, announced that its Eagle One Scandium Alloy Shafts are now being played on all three Men's Professional Golf Tours.
Several players on the Nationwide, PGA and Champions Tours have requested that their clubs be fitted with e21 Eagle One Scandium Alloy shafts since the beginning of the 2007 season, but over the past two weeks the interest has significantly increased. "We've had a noted increase in interest from the Tour Players on e21 shafts," said Andy Harris PGA Tour Rep for e21 Golf. "I'm working with several players right now, and think this new Scandium technology is really going to make an impact out here."
Currently, the Eagle One Scandium shafts are in the bag of an 11-Time Winner on the PGA Tour who has 97 career Top 10 Finishes to his credit and is considered one of the best ball strikers to ever play the game. He has placed his confidence in e21's Scandium Driven Technology and loves the results he's getting.
"When players of this caliber put our scandium shafts into play, it helps to validate the technology," commented Nataliya Hearn, CEO of e21 Golf. "The tour players are feeling the difference we keep telling consumers about. We will continue to increase our tour presence and work on getting e21 shafts into the hands of the best players in the world. We realize the emphasis that is placed on tour presence by the average golfer, and feel we are off to a very good start."
Over the past two weeks, e21 Golf has had at least one or more players on the Nationwide, PGA and Champions Tours using their Eagle One Scandium Alloy shafts in competition. These are all "non-endorsed" Tour Players who have simply recognized the benefits that Scandium Driven shafts can bring to their game, and opted to use them at play.
I will admit that two days before the fall, I unloaded 3/4 of my shares. I wasn't feeling good about the lack of communication about the driver and general lack of news period. I came back in at a penny below where I sold and am now feeling pretty good about the future. Hopefully, the magazine ads are just the tip of the iceberg as far as advertising is concerned, and some sales can get rolling.
Aston Martins are a whole lot better than Hondas, but Hondas sell because they are affordable. I just don't see huge sales numbers for these irons due to the price.
Element 21 Golf announces its shafts played at Tavistock Cup
TORONTO --
Element 21 Golf Company ("e21") announced that their shafts were in play at the highly anticipated Tavistock Cup 2007. A nationally televised tournament in which PGA Tour Professionals, from two highly regarded Florida based country clubs, compete against each other for a $2.6 Million dollar purse and local bragging rights. This is by no means your regular Country Club rivalry; together the 20 members of these two teams at Isleworth and Lake Nona have racked up more than 590 Worldwide Tour Victories and 43 Major Championships. This elite team competition features only the best players, including 4 of the Top 10 Players in the World. The Tavistock Cup has become the bona fide World Golf and Country Club Championship and is an officially sanctioned PGA Tour event.
A member of Team Isleworth has been using the e21 Eagle One Scandium Alloy shafts all season on Tour and put them to the test in the Four-Ball Medal Match Play and Four-Ball Singles Medal Match Play. They are an 11-Time Winner on the PGA Tour, have 97 career Top 10 Finishes to their credit and are considered one of the best ball strikers on the PGA Tour. He's placed not only his confidence, but his country club's bragging rights in the e21 Scandium Alloy shafts, and partnered with the #1 Player in the World at Tavistock Cup 2007.
About The e21 Eagle One Scandium Shafts
e21's Scandium Alloy shafts are manufactured using a proprietary 25-step production process to create a seamless, extruded shaft. Variable wall thickness and the alloy's high tensile strength results in a vibration dampening system called ShockBlok(TM) with 270% better shock attenuation than steel shafts that protects golfer's bodies, bones and joints. Each e21 shaft is made from a single piece of Scandium Alloy resulting in unmatched consistency from club to club as well as unprecedented accuracy and an industry leading torque of as low as 1.4
"The sky's the limit
There's an old saying that you can't buy a game in golf. But plenty of big spenders certainly try. If money is no concern, here is a set of clubs (custom-made, of course) that will put a real dent in your wallet, if not your scorecard. Grand total: $5,960.

1. DRIVER
Adams Golf Insight BUL. $700. As with most clubs, the shaft is the most important component. This driver was built with a Diamana White Board shaft. It is one of the best in the game. But it comes at a cost far higher than the 300-$400 you would pay for a top-line driver at a pro shop.
2. IRON
Miura. 3-iron through P-wedge. $2,300. You could buy a great set of irons for $800-$1,000, but Miura irons are in a different class. The heads are triple-forged (double is normal) for ultimate precision. They are built with the Element 21 shaft made from metal found only in Russia. The shaft's lively tip adds distance and has terrific shock absorption.
3. FAIRWAY WOOD
Bobby Jones 3-wood. $560. Noted golf designer Jesse Ortiz strikes again with a club resembling the old Ginty. Custom club-fitter Dennis Piant says it's easy to hit off the fairway, as the sole slides neatly through grass. With a Diamana Red Board shaft, it's much costlier than the $100-$200 you'd pay for a fairway wood off the shelf.
4. WEDGE
Zodia. $450. Good quality wedges go for $100-$120. Then there's the Zodia. They are hand-ground to tour standards by a top Japanese artisan. The Nippon shaft, which has a special smoked finish, is available at only 25 pro shops in the U.S. The head-shaft combo provides nonpareil control. Of course, you'll need two, both a lob and a sand wedge.
5. PUTTER
Bettinardi Golf. $1,500. You could tap a few putts on the fake green at your pro shop and buy a good putter for $100-$200. Or you can go to Bob Bettinardi's studio in Tinley Park and get the attention he lavishes on the pros who use his putters. This one has Bettinardi's signature one-piece technology and honeycomb face."
OEM for shafts?? Here is an interesting article that mentions e21 as the standard shaft for Miura golf clubs. I guess they are top of the line in Japan, but I have never heard of them.

I think that is on the magazine. They are the ones who wrote the article. They also have the price of the irons wrong, they are going to MSRP for $1199 not $1400.

"Out of this world: Element 21, maker of the Scandium shaft used last year by a Russian cosmonaut to hit a ball off the International Space Station, had its shafts in Tom Lehman's TaylorMade r7 irons last week at the AT&T, where the former U.S. Ryder Cup captain tied for first in greens in regulation."

Showing up in magazines can't be bad....
Well if it is anything like KC's past posts, I beleive a PR will be seen this week...
Finally got confirmation of my order. Due to arrive on Feb. 27. Confirmation received from KNETgolf.com, however, and not GolfRumors. KNET is a large used golf ball company out of Canada.
Man, you guys are killing me. I ordered my set from GolfRumors on Saturday and can not wait for them to get here. I am really anxious to get these, as now golfgame1 says they are awesome as well. I hope I receive them before Friday when it is supposed to be 66 and Sunny in KC. Disappointed to see no mention of the driver on their website, however their golf bags look pretty cool, will have to pick up one of those.
15 stokes?! That is ridiculous. If I can drop just a couple strokes that would be great. I am pumped to experience the "feel" of the clubs.
That's what I was thinking too, but the pictures on the e21 website show the new logo, so I am unsure. Guess I will know for sure when golfgame responds or when I get my clubs in a week or so.
golfgame1, I just ordered a set of clubs. Did your set come with the old logo or the new logo? Also, any update as to how they hit?
Okay, I finally caved and logged on to e21's website to buy the irons. I get through the entire process and then it did not like my credit card number. I just signed up for a paypal account to try and purchase this way, but am waiting for the email verification. Has anyone else had problems buying from their website?
They did have a loss, a huge one $6.9 million.
$1.3 million
This is what it appears to have cost for the space shot.
$6,297,822.00 net loss
-$2,254,365.00 non-cash charge for shares issued to consultants
-$823,617.00 interest expense
-$1,896,636.00 derivitive expense

$1,323,204.00 loss unexplained
SEC Filing: $25,000 Revenue. It is not the millions we all hope for, but significantly more than previous quarter.

Thanks onequick! You are providing a lot of good information. I think it will be tough to get major players to use the shafts on an unendorsed basis because of the conflict with their other endorsement deals.
Unrelated note, I went to Golf Galaxy yesterday. Once again, none of the salesmen knew about e21, which is disappointing. The salesman pulled up the website and was interested, but mentioned how Liquidmetal thought that they were the next material in golf and they folded, then pulled one of their drivers out of the used bin and it was listed for 59.99.
I also tried out the Sumo Square and it was strange addressing the ball with the square head. It performed well, but it sounded terrible. It sounded like you were hitting a hollow piece of wood, and didn't feel that great. They didn't have the FT-i, yet so I couldn't compare.
Industry low spin rates + most accurate driver = loads of sales.
Very disappointing that the driver will not make it to market until early summer, though. Most golfers pick up their new equipment in early spring.
Amen to that, jack. Apparently e21 clubs are worthless now that he is not involved with the company.
Go for it fan, there are times when I can't pay very close attention and can only throw a couple posts out and don't do much moderating. I would love the help.
I agree with you jack, but the minute we can walk into a Dick's or Nevada Bob's or local pro shop and buy the clubs then he loses all credibility. Let's just hope e21 delivers this golf season. I was extremely disappointed last year.

I don't think they lied about anything. I think they presented information as it was available at the time.
I don't know about anyone else, but I would be SURPRISED to see significant revenue for 4th Qtr. A vast majority of golfers who would be purchasing clubs in this price range will not purchase clubs without trying them out. I don't think you are going to see significant revenues until they are in major retailers, specialty shops, pro shops etc.
explain to me how "THEY" single-handedly bring the price up when there are many more buyers and sellers besides them out there.
Looks like my theory holds a little more water than yours eglfsucks
Post 1661 01/17/2007
"I could just as easily conjecture that the reason there are no revenues is because they were waiting on building up brand awareness to launch their product. Why pump millions into producing a product that the public has little to no knowledge of, then be left with outdated inventory that will not sell?
Better to gauge the market, wait on the publicity stunt to build awareness, UPDATE YOUR PRODUCT LINE, then come to market."
Now why would they waste money updating their product when all they were interested in was dumping shares???? That does not make sense.
eglfsucks, you can not measure the impact of the space shot on 4 qtr's revenues, as they do not have anything in the pipeline except shafts. If they have their irons and driver in the retail outlets and still revenues are non-existent, then there are problems. It is hard to sell something that is not on the shelves.
