I would hope that you would thank a Vet over the next few days as they provided the freedom to do what you do.
I think I'll give your idea a go, Stosh. And what I'll send the two muckity-mucks, besides a professional letter calling them mfers in a nice way, are excerpts from all four of the CTs prospectuses. And all four have a section that tells the Trustee to pony up with the full monty plus in cases like this - BK.
It'll take a few days to gather stuff as more important issues abound - pierogi making, stuffed mushroom making and getting the home ready for Turkey Day and the ensuing mob. I'll let folks know when it was sent and post the nicely worded letter - ya'll know where the prospectuses are and if I get a response, eh, who knows.
And one other thing - this class action talk. Not a good idea. This has to end in 10 years, if filed in Delaware. Next September.
It always was across the pond, Ricky. And I appreciate your efforts in going into the weeds to inform folks of what they truly hold. Not cocky, but I already know what I hold - a goldmine.
There are two main issues - the prospectus guarantee of the four CTs and the OBS shares. You know what I believe on the CTs - full monty plus due to contract law.
But what about OBS, eh? I don't have a dog in that hunt, but why would Pappy keep those around if they were going to used once more upon reorganization - a shareholder base already there. Over the years, I corresponded and talked with folks who had three, four, five and six figures of Pappy's equities and the shares are still in their accounts. Ain't like WAMU - WTF is up with that crap?
Actions is what the theme is - plus waiting. It's all good.
Time for NASCAR - no NFL.
So what you are saying is what I knew years ago - Pappy's CTs get the full monty plus before any of the subs - is that right, eh?
Gotta know what you hold and it is a gold mine. All you are doing is solidifying the full monty plus - and good on ya as many folks here can't fathom a BK play and the info you provide helps folks understand this process.
Just have to say the Pappy's CTs get the full monty plus before any of the subs do - contract law.
Just getting dribs and drabs from all over, Argus. Just like a cat chasing a light - not me - lol.
Still trying to figure out an end date on Pappy - ala WAMU - and then actions will dictate. But across the pond is always interesting.
No worries, Argus, always like to hear from you.
Interesting on the roulette analogy - I just have red (CTs) - and a lot I know have both. But the thing is, Pappy does not say anything - previous post - about going forward.
So just rock with the info is out there and I know you have a life - this play is just fun - lol.
Hurry - the cocktail party starts in 30 minutes - lol.
In the scheme of things, Stosh, I think these robber bastriches know the contract law concerning the CTs - full monty plus. And the money was always going to come from across the pond. Now, it appears that all the folks above us are 'taken care of', it may be our turn.
One thing I have not seen nor heard of - reorganization and what to do with OBS shares. Pappy hasn't talked about that for a long time. We're still good - ya ain't dead yet, are ya? lol
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras and join in the world's largest cocktail party - Georgia v Florida from Jacksonville. Gotta love the SEC.
Roll Tide.
How about a little history lesson, JDub, eh? Just my perspective. I'm sure you remember back in '08 all that nonsense going on and everyone losing money hand over fist. But there is a saying in this game - blood in the water - buy. But what?
The three legacies - FnF, WAMU and Pappy did not get TARP. Politics, as I mentioned before. And I played them all. FnF came through nicely and still living good. WAMU - my God, anyone in those escrows will not know what to do with all that dosh - go see a Edward Jones guy.
Pappy - another story. I wanted to see another vehicle besides common and preferred to slap a few quid down. Found those CTs. And what I liked about them was the guarantee - the full monty plus - in writing - in a case of bankruptcy. I like law.
I enjoy this board and I have all the sites folks go to post here for those who can't get that info. That's nice. Don't research too much as this is winding down as I believe there may be a limit in the time in BK - dunno for sure.
But I know one thing - we get the full monty plus one way or another.
And another thing, folks - we are all vultures to try to make more than we invested. Many didn't have any phucin' clue on how to read a BK play. Youse did right being here.
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras - and grab a nice 25 pound turkey on sale - yummy.
It's very real and credited to one man - the New Sheriff. The optimism and get things attitude this old bastard shows is just what this country needs. No more politics.
But as you see what has been happening with filings, rulings, etc... that Pappy is coming to a profitable close very soon.
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras and a few pierogie. Good stuff.
I hear ya Viva. Pappy was not to see the light of day, but still is - on the CTs and across the pond.
So, we relax and look at distros. Keep it simple.
How about a recycle as to why we are all here, eh? No OBS - just CTs. Saw a nice play(s) in the CTs and rolled with it. Many will be wealthy beyond their beliefs after this is over, as well as WAMU. However, many here do not have enough patience to wait this out and many moving parts over the years to make one to sell.
But in this one, three things matter from '08 - the Prospectuses Guarantee, debt in BK and equity going forward and the fiduciary responsibility of the Trustees.
Lots of folks over the years have did things in the courts and we read about them. And good on them as folks are watching. Just sayin'. But it's time to go - and pay out - only the full monty plus.
So relax, have a few Sinatras and grab yer turkey for Thanksgiving - no football in this home on that day.
Interesting, newflow. They just parroted what Pappy's been doing all these years - not pay us and pay other classes. There is a reason we are still here. A back of the bus play yet still kept Pappy in the news for the past 9 years. The parsing of words in your highlighted portion is a bit disturbing; however, shares are taken from accounts in plays like this when there is a payout.
All I know is the prospectuses guarantee on the full monty plus, the new info on the word 'all' and just watch across the pond for some mo money coming over.
Relax and have a few Sinatras - this is gonna get good.
Hell, DR, got some baby backs almost ready for the grill at the top of the hour. Leave me alone, will ya? LOL
Easy - $25 face value and add damn near 10 years of interest at 6%.
Lookie here, though. Don't yell Hip Hip Hooray just yet. This crap isn't over. We got some good news, albeit two months out for the distro.
We still wait.
Very interesting, newflow - good eagle eyes on ya. Have a few points so lemme preach on it.
If you followed my train of thought, it is about three things - prospectus guarantee, Trustee fiduciary responsibility and look across the pond. No reward yet, but here's a posit: a deadline for ending this. Pappy filed in Delaware - correct me if I am wrong - and there is a limit to get all your shite in one sock. Ala WAMU. Just saying future wealthy folks.
Roll Tide.
Pretty interesting with the language used - "...all allowed claims...". And the money for the distro is in the ballpark for the full monty plus. And, as usual, Pappy only comes out with distro info and nothing about going forward.
But there is a deadline to end this nonsense as with the WAMU play. Keep watching across the pond and the Trustees. We're good.
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras - who wants fried green tomato, eh? lol.
Here's the reason why all of us are here, Argus - simple, really.
Seems that these Trustees are rearing their ugly head once more - something about guarantees. Just like the prospectuses guarantees, eh? Hmmm, full monty plus. Just waiting.
How about a big stogie and a quart of Schmidt's at yer grave? lol Lookie here, Stosh, I know you are not in the WAMU play, but these are tied together, and it comes down to the Trustees. Read the prospectus - only the full monty plus. Keep it simple.
Oh, an across the pond post. Hmmm. I enjoyed Schumacher when he drove for Ferrari and seemed he was always champion. Simple stuff on the uplisting, Argus. And I mentioned before that these legacy plays are all political. Same as WAMU.
However, in the CTs case, it's only the full monty plus - per contract law - or, the equivalent in preferred shares. Call it $36 for yer boat and grab a Sinatra. This is gonna end soon.
Interesting, Ed. Looks like it's time to move the focus from across the pond to FDICK-R. Big news from the Fed this week, but even more bigger news from JPIG. And DB is off and running from the courts.
It's all out there to see - and I reckon it's not going to be long before we see a return. Just sayin'.
That is funny, Gus. The original buy high and sell low guy.
I hope you had a stake in all three of the legacy plays, but I doubt it as you cannot spell 'cat', even if I spot you the 'ca'.
No worries, you failed banker you - I know where you are. Knock Knock. So stop the crap on this play. You lost. So get a life.
I would not worry about anything in this play. The final three are going to be very nice gains - except for someone who didn't do the right thing. Lemme preach on it.
FnF are worth looking at once again - the new Sheriff in town. WAMU - get out the way - with all the court decisions in favor, my God, there will be many multi-millionaires with that one. And Pappy will follow suit. Remember, politicians took these three firms down and now it's in their best interests to bring them back - albeit slowly.
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras and take care of what is important. The money is coming in these three plays so no worries.
Stars are lining up, Mojo with Pappy. And the New Sheriff is not playing politics. The guy does shite. And that's what make you wealthy - ya do shite.
Still good, Mojo. No worries here.
Listen, got the phone ringing as folks are hoping to escape to Sweet Home Alabama from the hurricane. And they are welcome as always. Beer is cheap here - lol.
How about we keep it simple, Mojo. CTs are an instrument specially designed to become debt going into a BK situation - which must be paid - and an equity instrument going forward after BK - must be paid. Simple, eh? We're good. Just look at actions on the Trustees and across the pond.
We just wait and dig for info that is slow coming.
Tell ya a little story, Viva. Andrew destroyed my base in '92 in Florida - Homestead. All 72 F-16's got out - you pay for those - and one C-130 could not go due to bad engines. No life lost at the base, but from Cutler Ridge to Islamorada - flat like a pancake.
That said, let's look at the Trustees as this is coming to a profitable end to all who are here. Look at WAMU - we are tied together.
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras and oh, I thought that the failed Missouri banker went into selling ketchup. Hope it will succeed.
Here's something here, Stosh, and it's real simple. No actions happened in America except for distros and other lawyer nonsense from Pappy.
The real action happened across the pond - this is just one of the final actions, I believe, that will get all who are here the full monty plus.
Pappy was a force across the pond - and still is. This tidbit is nothing. Always told ya, look at actions and the Trustees. We're good.
You want relief? You can't handle relief.
And since your handle is letters and numbers and not a proper name, I cannot address you as I do not know if you are male, female, lesbian, transgendered or alien. Please specify your gender as there are only two on this planet.
Just a shame, numbers and letters, you cannot figure this play out, much less be invested in it. You are nothing to me now.
And always before a long weekend, eh JOVI, so you can read the crap. It's just funny, but Pappy may have grown a pair. We'll see.
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras - baby backs, old gits, beer drinking and football. Get out the way before ya git hurt, Bless Your Heart - lol.
Different scenario across the pond, Wayne. BK laws and such are different, but contract law got the CTs the full monty plus. I would not equate those proceedings with what is happening here. Just wish ya had a taste - lol - me too.
The problem is the Trustees and the last two legacy plays are tied together. Here's a little tidbit - if you are a Trustee, you have to have the dosh to cover. Just saying.
One thing to look at before all the nice cars and things are bought - the Trustees. Mid next month and give a few quid to edbk - LBIE CTs got the full monty plus. So relax.
Seems that a lot of folks did not comment on what edbk mentioned - verifiable if you have the guts. Sad sacks those schmucks are.
Mid September - gotta love it.
Hey Stosh - I got yer fin hanging right here - lol.
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras and glad everyone who had courage to be here will reap the benefits. Easily researched folks.
Hope that you had a few quid in on the LBIE CTs, ed. And good on ya if you did. I'm sure that their prospectuses has the same verbiage as the four here.
I think a lot of folks did not understand the length and breadth Pappy held, and still holds, across the pond. And that always had to be resolved first, not America. Need that cash flow going and they are going great guns for over a year. But you never hear about it. 'Nuff on that.
What's next, eh? Only the full monty plus for those who are here. And let OBS roll with the reemergence. Stosh needs a new pair of shoes - lol. He's getting old and needs slip ons.
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras and it's time for the proper football.
And none taken, JOVI. We are all just trying to piece this play together with the little information put out by Pappy. I'm still positive for the full monty plus.
That's correct, 4D.
I hope so as well, Argus. It just seems to me that the right thing will be done based on the prospectuses guarantees and the Trustees fulfilling their fiduciary responsibilities. I'm just keeping it simple and looking for actions.
I was in a town called Barrie - aboot 80 klicks north of Toronto in what they call Cottage Country. My wife's family lives there as she is Canadian. Very nice place. And all family business was taken care of - lol.
Hey Viva and Argus - sorry I didn't reply sooner as I was on the road in the South and the Great White North taking care of family business and I don't have access to a machine most of the time to check up on things. They just call me Don Giacomo and we'll leave it there - lol.
I saw that the 17 August State of the Estate was pushed back a bit - hmmm, close to the date of the BK. Wonder why, eh? Nine years. Got some thoughts on this. Lemme preach on it.
The last two legacy plays are very similar in three ways. The first is they were taken down - no Tarp - by very powerful bastriches, i.e., JPM, DB, FDIC, politicians, et al... The second is the total lack of information on both plays from any media outlet, sans the required distro notice, court date - you get the drill. And lastly, we are still here. Why? Lemme preach on that, gotdamnit - lol.
The folks who stole Pappy and WAMU are just covering themselves for the inevitable - pay the piper - credit to Viva. And nothing in the papers or financial sites - just that both BK's ended. Simple.
In my view, Pappy gets the full monty plus and WAMU the same. When is the issue, but hang in there. Vultures Rock!
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras and enjoy life while we wait.
Could be, Viva, but a few posits on this one. Pappy is finally saying something on the 17th - could be grand or just the usual BS. Middle of the road for me. Seems like the Trustees are sorted in both plays, so when ready, they can do their fiduciary responsibility.
Also, WAMU has an end date of September 2018 - could Pappy as well? Remember, both were political take downs. But there is more info, if you want to call it that, on the WAMU play than Pappy. And always look across the pond - Pappy is doing well there.
Does not really matter, Cotton, on convincing folks here on the full monty plus coming our way. Many already know that and are in the wait mode. Look at the Trustees and what they do in the coming weeks. Good man you are, but you can't cure stupid - don't try, just laugh at it.
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras before the Boogity Boogity Boogity Let's Go Racing.
I'm looking at the middle of the road on this meeting, Argus. It was much more interesting looking across the pond the last half dozen or so years - Holy Shite - lol.
But one thing with this announcement is fairly telling. The two Trustees in the final legacy plays - Pappy and WAMU - made up and should be able to fulfill their respective fiduciary responsibilities for both firms. I've always said that there are no coincidences in BK, but as usual, I look at actions, not words. We'll see.
Oiy, the silence is indeed defining and there is a reason for it. The two Trustees. They have to be sorted first before the final two legacy plays are taken care of. Simple, Stosh. Tell ya about it tomorrow because at this point in both plays, they, as well as FDIC in WAMU, are holding up a massive amount of dosh for all who are invested here. Still, I always said it was all political - who did not get TARP, eh? 'nuff said.
In the meantime, have a few Sinatras and grab a pole - 3 to 6 pound bass are biting nicely. Yummy.
