Wow...still here. What a day.
Still here. Awesome day.
Also still here with about a third of my total holdings. Enjoying the ride.
Let's go
I'm down to about half my original holdings (should have followed DR's lead and sold more in 2017), but that's just part of the 20+ year saga. Will probably lighten by half in the $100-120 range. Hold the rest. I've expected a buy out for so long, I can't seem to let it go. LOL
This is fun. EOM
I remember the Cicso guy. That was a long time ago. Agree, still a possibility, although I'm still feeling Q. Thought it would have happened by now, though. Possible that the deal is done with specific price parameters in place based on stock price or specific event outcomes? I love a unifying theory of everything. LOL
TC, I remember that. Still in the back of my mind, along with a couple of others. Can't remember the poster's name either. Of course, I can barely remember breakfast.
Agree...have had the thought that our new CEO might be prepping the little flea for Q as a defensive play. I remember you'd alluded to same a few years ago when there were a bunch of Q folks walking the halls. Still think that could be a thing, or do you see a competitor grabbing it?
Good to see you here, TC. Have long appreciated your pov. I, too, am still watching for (hoping for?) a buyout. We'll see.
There's that Avanci money....I think....we'll take it.
Or didn't like the asking price...
Have been wondering that for a while, especially with the tidying up of the new CEO. Lenovo still seems a potential impetus. High/low offer wouldn't completely surprise me. Would seem tough to keep that quiet, though. More time will tell.
As long as I've held most of mine, I must be. Suppose we'd be outvoted if the company and Blackrock wanted to make a move.
Unless taking it private on the cheap is the play...
Offer appears to be a negotiation/trial strategy. Doubt there was any expectation that it would be accepted. Just still really unclear what our new end game is. Are we just tidying up for a sale, or are we really trying to strengthen the company for the long haul? Hopefully, the next few weeks will be telling.
So just to clarify, you've come by your ex boyfriend's house to brag about your new boyfriend? Weird.
Agree...Apple is surely top 2...IMO
They would have to be among the top three or four, I'd think...
LOL EOM
Why would the hen house let in the fox, if they weren't going to let him run with the ball? Toward the fox den? Mixed metaphors and all...LOL
Still thinking there may be more to it than that...
First, brand new poster...looooong time lurker. 20 years in this stock.
Second, I feel your pain, Loop (and so appreciate your pov over the years). Twice now, I've believed that a company sale had to be imminent...back in 2017 and again now. All of the signs seemed to point to it over the last few weeks. New CEO from QCOM? Seemed obvious. I did lighten up by about 25% a couple weeks ago, but wanted to see it play out. Now, I kinda wish I'd just let it go, but had I to do it again, I'd do the same thing. I'm sure I see what I want to see, but this still looks like a likely take out...just not sure when or who. Will at least hang on to see where we are in a couple of quarters. Good luck, all.
