When Will It End?
Well, at zero is certainly one possibility.
Brewmeister
what's up???
Nothing----that is the sad point.
Brewmeister
Shorting a $1 Stock
People on this board keep asking this question. Do you realize it is a percentage thing? They can make a ton of money if it goes down 20 measly cents. I am not saying I am doing it, but I can certainly understand why someone would, based on the history of this stock.
Brewmeister
Yes, Definately a good chance.
Brewmeister
It IS a Downgrade
Any way you look at it. How can you read their explanation and not consider it a Downgrade?
Brewmeister
Or Will We Drop Back Down
I suppose one could just as easily ask whether we will drop back down to the 70 cent range over the next few weeks after another annual meeting without any significant revenue news.
Brewmeister
Post Split Price
I remember when Wave did the reverse split, some people here said that a large majority of companies that do this see their share price fall back down to where it was before the split.
Well, it seems those people were correct about Wave after-all. Unbelievable!
Brewmeister
Commissions--
I don't know how all the brokers work, but I know Ameritrade will only charge one $10 commission for all buys in a given day. If your order goes into another day, then they charge another $10.
Brewmeister
Dell Buy Wave??
$4/share
Brewmeister
Already Seen the Top Number
We have already seen $150/share; truthfully, I do not believe we will ever see that again. I don't know what is realistic though.
Brewmeister
Q4 Double over Q3 ??
Yikes, then I am afraid you will definately be disappointed.
Brew
Dell UsaToday Ad Not Dead
Hey, I was just perusing USAToday, actually looking at the Sports page and the Dell add popped up again!
Brewmeister
Isn't it $60/ share?
Yep, that would certainly be great.
Brew
Limit at $1.10
To tell you the truth, it looks like you should be able to buy at $1.10 soon enough; and then after that, we will have an even better buying opportunity. Sad but true.
Brewmeister
Previous Prediction of $1.30
A few weeks ago, someone said that the price would probably go down to $1.30. At the time, of course, it was ridiculed. I guess it does not look so foolish anymore. Unfortunately.
Brew
PR's Can Help Sales
Just a point to make concerning putting out Press Releases. Isn't it reasonable to think that saying good things about Wave, and their relationships with certain large, well-respected companies could help convince others to buy Wave products?
Brewmeister
$2 Resistance
Or is it more like Resistance at $2 ?
Brewmeister
Support at $2--
Unfortunately, not.
We just wait...and wait.......and wait
Brewmeister
Volatility-
Yes, it is amazing, I guess it is just the nature of a thinly traded stock. It does not take much at all to move it either direction.
Brewmeister
IBM Data Lost
I received the same letter. I left IBM 18 years ago.
I filled out and returned the form to use the Service they were making available to us.
Brewmeister
Definition of Stupidity---
What is it they say? Something about doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results. I guess we are all guilty of this aren't we?
Brewmeister
Yesterday's Price Increase--
I think it was due to the proxy change; and that the price will give it all back since that is really not an event that will support a true increase in value.
Brewmeister
If Proxy Fails - No Problem
This scare tactic is just that. There is not going to be any adverse effect on the company if it gets defeated. In fact, I think it would be good.
They could submit another , much more reasonable, proposal later.
Brew
$2.60 Fact
Sorry, not wishful thinking.
Bremeister
Supply and Demand
And who creates demand for their stock? I think Wave Systems does that; or is supposed to.
Brew
Rationalization---
That is what you are seeing. I have seen it many times over the years. No matter what happens, or doesn't happen (like revenues), there are a lot of people on this board that will look and look and analyze, and eventually they will convince each other that things are great; Management is great. They are able to finally, somehow, convince themselves that everything is good. They are wrong, but there is absolutely no way to get them to realize it.
I still believe a 'NO' vote is proper.
Brewmeister
Greed and Audacity
The greed and audacity of management never cease to amaze me.
Obviously, if I get the chance to vote, it will be 'NO'
Brew
Congrats - But I wonder what it will be called at $2.60 ?
Brew
$5 increase per week?? And $50 by end of 2007??
That is way too optimistic; no way it's gonna happen.
Brewmeister
Why short a $2 stock? The price does not matter; it is all percentages. A person could short at $2 and cover at $1 and make a huge profit. If they shorted a stock at $100 and covered at $80, they would not do nearly as well.
Brewmeister
PP affect on share price.
Also, as has happened many times in the past. The people getting the new shares have already been told what the purchase price will be and it is below where we are; so they sell now, knowing they can replace them lower. Many times the price has gone down and only later do we find out that this was the cause.
I do not know for sure whether that is it this time or not; but that is how it has gone in the past.
Brewmeister
Gilder Report Effect--
Wasn't there a time when being mentioned in the Gilder Report caused a stock to skyrocket? For years, we wanted to see Wave mentioned there. Does it just not carry the same weight that it used to?
Brewmeister
Just Placed Online Order at Ameritrade
I was just able to do it, Hmmm, strange.
Brewmeister
Don't Look At The Past??
This seems kinda foolish to me. People that say the past is the past and we should not discuss it sound just like Mark McGwire at the Senate hearings on steroids.
"I am not here to talk about the past"
It did not go over very well when he said it either. might keep him out of the Hall of Fame.
It has been well-documented how poor Sprague's opinions/estimates/projections have been. This needs to be discussed, considered and kept in mind as we evaluate recent statements.
Brewmeister
Limit Orders on Ameritrade
For those that have used Ameritrade; can you enter limit orders? For the standard $10 fee?
Thanks,
Brewmeister
