Excellent post.
Excellent post.
Gee, Wolfie, what a great sunny attitude on life you have. Your posts just beam with optimism, goodwill, and cheer. Certainly wasn't difficult finding and choosing your moniker.
Senti, that is the most brilliant deductive reasoning I have ever seen on this board. It makes perfect sense, is neat, and ties together many of the loose ends.
Excellent post, Flipper. You knocked it outta the park!
"What you'll eventually come to realize is that my work on NWBO was not an attempt to bash the company or drive down the price of the stock. What I was doing was providing you a B.S.-free analysis and interpretation of events as they played out. My work was a warning that the company was not telling you the whole truth. I was trying to help you, and I will continue to do that."
Seldom have I read such disingenuous horse manure. We don't need your help.
Thanks bear for reminding the board through your excellent reportage of what really happened at the meeting and what was the sentiment of most of the attendees. Bless you.
One of your classiest, most brilliant posts of late. Succinct, too. Thanks for your insight.
I agree, otherwise they would never have used the word "sets".
Senti, thank you very much for posting your transcription. All your hard work is deeply appreciated.
Well stated, Flipper. My sentiments, too.
Thank you very much for taking the initiative to contact LG and for posting your summary of the conversation here in iHub.
That's preposterous.
Excellent, Sentiment! I love the boiling frog comment. Can't wait. Hope there are a slimy pool of them (not that I really have anything against real frogs in nature).
An Occam's razor explanation. Neat and simple. I like it.
What's up with the after hours trade?
This is the way I read it, i.e., it is almost boilerplate, what is found in company reporting of possible adverse risks. Moreover, unless NW is involved in something truly devious (per some of the negative speculation re his actions), I can't see him selling his shares now. I am positive he has viewed Linda Liau's presentation or had it summarized for him. He knows the company is on the cusp of a major breakthrough in cancer therapy, and that approval is very likely in the near future. That is why he invested in NWBO in lst place. Won't he look a little foolish, touting his patience and long-term perspective, and now showing himself as a short-termer.
"Post #48881 and #50306 are just two of many reasons" Post#48881 should be read by everyone. If you have already read it, read it again. It will make you feel good about your investment in NWBO.
Congrats on an outstanding post, Afford! I urge everyone with any doubts regarding the NW-LP kerfunkle to read Afford's well-written, astute posting a couple of times. It is a beautiful read. Afford, I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty to re-post your message on the YMB. It deserves wide circulation.
That's great: "In my retirement I might open up a grapefruit juice cafe around the corner from Sawston called "Adams Grapes" and any poster here would qualify for unlimited free refills along with LP and her team."
Also, sell some tee-shirts with LP's picture on the front, "Woman of the Decade" printed below.
I want to believe he is smarter than that, but who knows.
Such a class act. Three words for you, too, friend. But they are not Happy New Year.
Amen, brother.
Thanks for a very reasonable post. I enjoy your perspective and am glad you are aboard. I particularly like the part about not investing the farm, just a large portion of the acreage.
Well said, Dok. Unfortunately, it's like water off a duck's backside.

Thanks, Sojourner. I think TC Trader also made the same call on Friday after that first decent up-day in awhile and that big buy block at the close. Let's keep our fingers crossed. PR/News this week would be a nice Christmas present.
Good summary, Senti. "it seems Woodford has been given roughly what he wants." and it seems "roughly" may be the operative word here. LP succinctly stated earlier that the P5 was "baloney" and now she has shown that she can't be pushed around. I think this foretells that she is confident that she has a strong hand going forward.
Thanks, Jack, for shedding light on that important aspect of the investigation
Great digging, Senti. Someone with contacts should get this to Les and the new investigators at NWBO.
You may have misinterpreted the word "punt." In the UK, I think it refers to a bet; it is not as in USA football when you give up the ball by kicking it back (i.e, closing your position). Read Woody's words again, he is committed to NWBO: "
Star fund manager Neil Woodford has launched a defence of his punt on a US biotech firm that is estimated to have lost his investors £38million.
In a letter to investors in his £8billion Equity Income Fund and Patient Capital Trust, Woodford said it was too soon to say whether the £120million bet on Northwest Biotherapeutics had gone badly.
The firm is accused of financial irregularities and Woodford has appointed a former FBI agent to its board.
Woodford said: ‘With some early-stage investments not everything will go well. It is too early to pass judgment on Northwest, but we have hit a bump in the road that needs to be addressed.’"
Also, who listens to Tortuga or relies on him for investment advice? Everyone else has him on ignore.
Expecting Monday or Tues also a Smith-on-Stocks analysis of the situation.
Can't let that go by w/o responding. If LP hadn't been creative in using cognate to get funding for the company, most of the posters here wouldn't have had any NWBO to be investing in, because the company would have gone belly-up. The impatient nervous-nellies on this board are too quick to condemn LP and mgt and allege malfeasance without the facts or realistic business acumen. Put Tortuga on ignore and relax for a few days. He's got you rattled. Better yet, go back and review Maverick's posts over the past year or so. He'll reassure you some.
Thumbs up, Jack. Happy Thanksgiving.
Agree 100%. This is all pure formality now. It's a done deal, and it is glorious news for NWBO shareholders (and cancer patients). A very nice Happy Thanksgiving Day present to all.
Perhaps the next time one of these obvious FUDsters (with no position) appear with their long, involved, obscurant "white papers" we should all just ignore them rather than engage them with counter-arguments. They have an agenda and are not going to change their view. Facts to them don't matter anyway. They will eventually get bored and go away.
Exactly. So bloody obvious. They raise pseudo issues, obfuscate the facts, or make up their own; then they get someone (usually another short) to respond; a small self-congratulatory discussion ensues; they finally get some of the more knowledgeable longs to engage, and the next thing you know they have taken over the discussion, created more FUD, and achieved their initial objective: bring down the PPS.
Truly, does anyone believe our sister here spent all that time transcribing a how-many-year-old video, posting it along with her extensive comments and emoticons, and then engaged so profusely in subsequent discussion, BUT doesn't hold a position? Is only doing it because she was supposedly once a NWBO investor and now wants to save all of us benighted longs from losing all our wealth? Goodness, give me (and others who can see through this malarkey) a break. I wanted to respond to this charade earlier. P's re-emergence today forced my hand now. Have a good weekend.
Good point. I read it the same way.
