Amen to that. Teachers Union is not looking out for the teachers. The administrators are not any even worse. I heard the other day that Miami Dade is spending something like $15000+ a year per student. Where the hell is that going? Not to the teachers thats for sure. When the teachers realize they will be better off without the unions and administrators then things will change. Until then the problem will just continue to get worse.
Littlefish,
ya, I try to keep people laughing over there. Too many serious individuals. Anyways, we are in the clear for this one but the gulf coast looks like its going to get it again. Nagin, and his "chocolate city" need to evacuate for good.
Littlefish,
Should make for a very interesting rest of hurricane season.
Thanks Len. Good to see mostly everyone is still here.

Looks like it came from $4.93 last November!
"How does 1 person per 200 sq. feet sound?
No problem unloading a 4000 sq. ft. homes. It could accommodate 20 people."
Southern California already operates like this.
Len: Thats why you all are in charge and I'm just along for the ride. That explains why the Motherboard is slower.
PGYC Yup. Just saw it.
This Gator will be watching closely.
Doesn't it always seem like Ohio State's team is "supposed to be better than before" as the article says. I tell you what, they are a hell of a runner up every year.
PGYC Just grabbed some. Ready to bounce hard.
Bobwins. Thanks. I think I like the old name better.
Zip Code Changers board:
I have been working a bunch lately and haven't really been trading much. I can't seem to find it with the new setup here. Does it have a different name now?
Thanks

METALHEADS: I have a quick question. What is the going rate per pound for both Steel and Aluminum at the scrap yard? I have my old hurricane shutters and its virtually impossible to sell them used anymore because everyone has them. (Kevlar shutters are the bomb)I am wondering if I should just scrap them.
Thanks
TFN
The company will probably buy a little here and a little there. This way they don't run it up just to have it crash again. If they do it slowly they can combat the overhang shares and the little bit of selling out there. Stretch it out over the course of hurricane season as well.
UVE: Moving up nicely on strong volume today. I have no clue if there is more to it.
abh3vt: Just read your article. I live in Jupiter where this Sagami guy is coming from. We have a restaurant here named Masa's Sagami. I wonder if its the same guy.
UVE: BBOTCS I am not hoping for a hurricane but a nice scare would be great for accumulating some cheapies!
UVE: I expect this may have something to do with the Lancer shares. Hopefully that is what they meant when they said big blocks. Just a guess. Either way, at least they are doing something.
UVE: It was me. I was there with like 6 other guys in suits. It lasted all of 10 minutes. The more experienced posters informed me that was pretty much the norm with these companies.
UVE: As with most of the companies down here, South Florida has the highest concentration. They are everywhere from the Keys to the Panhandle.
UVE: While I am not underwater, the stock price continues to amaze me. I am holding for the long haul. (Unless another Andrew lurks off the Florida coast) I liked just about everything in the quaterly report. Steinberg and his Lancer shares need to be bought back by management. I am going to try and attend the annual meeting on Friday.
UVE: a couple of things.
First, they added 25000 more policies.
Second, they said they should cycle through the 11% rate decrease by May 31, 2008.
Third, they say they should have the additional states approved by third quarter.
Fourth, their payment plan seems to be a success.
Fifth, they are recovering the assessment from the state of FL incurred last year.
Sixth, was the incredible cash flow.
Earnings Out
.35 v .30
UVE: The combination of the reinsurance business and the payment plan business were much better than I had expected. It really helped offset the reduction in premium rates.
Len:
I have been working so much the last few weeks that I haven't had time to visit. I came to ihub and typed in value microcaps and to my surprise.....nothing. I then googled and found the new name. Good idea to go premium and thanks for holding my spot! TFN
Jaybird: Where have you been for the last 10 weeks?
Did you see the BS afterhours trade of 100 shares at 4.61? Too Funny.
Looking Better!
Hank: LOL. On another note, my brother works at the Walgreens distribution plant in Jupiter. He is VP of Transportation or some BS like that. Anyways he drives like 30 miles a day total back and forth from work. He told me at dinner last night that he was going to get some Chinese motorcycle down in Pompano. I guess they are like $1500 new. He will save enough in gas to pay it off in like 15 months. He said that he would just plan on getting a new one every few years. Its basically a disposable motorcyle. Gotta love it.
OT: Setting the speed limit is the states job in my opinion. I do not want the federal government telling me how fast I can drive. Not their job. If they want to propose a national speed limit, I propose a law that all trucks must stay in the right lane at all times.
I look at it this way, the warmer it gets here, the less people will move here. Eventually snowbirds will become a thing of the past and we can go back to doing whatever we want down here. I'll gladly send my entire town council back to New Jersey where they can fix up Patterson with their progressive policies.
I know you haven't posted on this one in a while but I was wondering if you own any. I went by one today and they now serve breakfast. Its good too. Plus with Peltz involved, I would think that this may be a good turn around opportunity. What are your thoughts?
UVE: I also added to my position last week. I liked the fact that they increased margin from 43 to 48 percent. I also like the fact that the additional 15 million in LAE charges basically puts them at the max. in other words, they are prepared for the worst and won't be caught off guard again by surprise claims from past events. Approval for other states should come soon.
KIK: I was wondering about all those posts.
Actually I just looked it up and now its a 6. Even better. I think we continue to head north for the week.
LT_Matt: I'm thinking more along the lines of a Zombie. Kind of like the living dead.
LEN: You are right I would kill everyone else after I killed myself.
I would kill myself if they went back to 55. I drive like 1200 miles a week.
I have a feeling that the shorts have really been attacking the stock lately.
