"All these things are totally ignored when setting energy policy. Instead hydrogen production is scrutinized and demonized."
apparently they have looked at the pros and cons and have decided that solar power is the better solution..you can try to make solar power sound as bad as possible, but the truth is as you said: " it must be acknowledged that all energy sources have environmental consequences"...
and clearly, it has been determined that solar is the best option...
solar on residential rooftops can help that household generate enough electrical energy to meet as much as 80% of their electricity needs...that relieves a whole lot of stress off the grid...and those panels are made to last 25 years...and those people with solar panels who own electric cars are not pulling anything off the grid to charge those vehicles...
whatever environmental impact is involved with making solar panels is NOTHING compared to the benefits...
"Green Hydrogen Will Become The 21st Century Version Of Oil"
sure, maybe, once they start getting it right out of the ground...rendering electrolyzers and all the other expensive crap useless...
"i'm still going to place relevant information on this board, with respect to KBLB-related competitors"
kblb has zero competitors, thus you have no relevant info....
you are irrelevant...but
YMIGH!
from the Dec 2023 letter to shareholder:
"We started 2023 with a concentrated program to strengthen our production silkworm strains with the goal of increasing their robustness and tolerance for the commercial production environment. We undertook this program because our study of our previous attempts to ramp up production indicated that our laboratory strains may have been overly inbred or otherwise lacked the necessary robustness to carry out our production objectives.
This process involved selective breeding over many generations and isolating target traits while crossbreeding with more robust specimens. The ultimate goal was to create two, and ultimately four, separate strains of our silkworm, which, when crossed with each other, would produce significant hybrid vigor. This program has been very successful."
sounds like they spent a year improving the old DS...but since the Indian consultants were announced on 11-27-23 and the 25 kilos was pr'd on Dec 14th, im not sure how much they could have done in that time period...but in a July 19th pr, it was announced that 2 sericulture experts with 50 yrs of experience between them were hired and improved many protocols and proceedures that enhanced production...so maybe they had a positive impact on the production of DS...
the old DS made decent silk but apparently the yield wasnt that great...im guessing due to too many worms dying or not being up to snuff...
if changing protocols made such a significant difference that the old DS became viable, then Bam1 should kick some serious butt....
i still cant this get phrase out of my mind which was stated by kim in the pr where he announced the signing of the MOU with LAREC and VSA:
" Under the guidance of this MOU, the Company will partner with these leading agencies to enhance and expand Vietnam’s silk production. "
at first i thought he might have meant OUR Vietnam silk production...but really, thats not what he said...he clearly said they intend to work together to EXPAND Vietnam’s silk production......also:
"We have been working with various governmental ministries, agencies, and departments for an extended period of time in order to demonstrate our silk production technology and to tailor that technology to the local environment,”...
to me this means the Vietnamese have seen what kblb is capable of and that Vietnam is going all in with kblb...
and i hope that translates to money...preferably, up front cash...
the Japanese are loyal and very accomodating to each other...you will notice that initially, spiber was trying to entice business from many countries...but now, its all japanese companies that they are trying to do business with...only because of the culture do they still have them rendering aid to the struggling company that is spiber...allowing them to make the inside lining of certain coats and jackets with their goo just to help them...
also...what happened to that deal with archer daniels midland in the usa?...that was supposed to been done a year or two ago?...havent heard anything about that in some time...they poured hundreds of millions into it...have they accomplished anything with them?...werent they supposed to process chaff and rotting vegetables into spiber products?
"That has nothing to do with continuous production. You are claiming production has happened since the hank.'
correct...they may have needed to build up an egg supply but yes, i believe there is and has been production...not mass production...but significant production...
"This trip will lay the groundwork for the upcoming spring rearing season, strengthening its team, and preparing its facilities. The Company is leveraging the winter offseason to align its staff and contractors to ensure ideal conditions for the launch of the 2024 season."
and yet they clearly didnt wait for spring...they in fact produced 25 kilos in December...winter...so why is he saying he is waiting for spring to launch the 2024 season but a week later announced he just produced product?...
imo, its because when hes talking about spring trials, its all about Bam1...yet he produced DS in Dec...he sees it as two seperate things...i see absolutely no reason why he would have produced 25 kilos and then just stopped and told everyone to play checkers until spring...
"Of course you agree, you are responding to your own comment."
no...i am responded to your agreement that there is CURRENT production while also stating that there isnt...
"And then when on to say it was a field test and the result was a success."
exactly...it was a succesful test with great results...we have had a contract for years that we have not fulfilled...but the thought is that kim decided not to continue production, because.......?
on Jan 22, kim stated: "Kraig Labs is currently in the process of ramping up production trials of its recombinant spider silk under the trademark Dragon SilkTM. The move to ramp up production follows on the heels of the Company’s successful early production test announced in December."
this says to me that kim was ramping up DS because of the success he had producing the 25 kilos...which would make more sense than to have achieved success and then.....do nothing?...
also: "During the ramp-up phase, while production quantities are relatively limited, the Company is targeting end-product applications in fashion and performance apparel."
kim isnt going gangbusters on DS because he knows that Bam1 will replace DS...but he isnt sitting on his hands playing some kind of waiting game either...
all the rest of your post is about Bam1...yes there is a Bam1 and it will be going to spring trials...evevyone already knows that...no one is denying that...but i believe they are also CURRENTLY in production of DS...as i believe kim has already stated...
Let me check…hmmm…closed at .0933…
Well above the .06 you predicted…so now that you were proven DEAD WRONG, you switch to bitchin about the volume?…
You are a joke…
Well apparently you sure care…
What a dumb post…I doubt you even believe half the BS you are forced to spew to earn that paycheck…
“Nope, has nothing to do with rearing of silkworms or egg production.
It was about the new facility and signing with larec while meating contractors.”
And yet, a week later they announced the production of 25 kilos…so clearly, it in fact DID have something to do with production since they DID produce…
“he says he wants current production to work together with the spring trials is how i read that...”
I agree…he does want CURRENT production to work together with spring trials…
Kim announced an “early start to the production season with the successful manufacture and delivery of the most recent batch of recombinant spider silk."
I think he meant exactly what he said…
“The only thing mentioned about production in Vietnam is the hank.”
But certainly Kim has made reference to production whether it is in vietnam or elsewhere…
“Ds is what bam produces.”
But there is a DISTINCT difference between the DS that BAM1 will produce and the old DS…
“They are waiting to find out what happens with the upcoming trials of BAM-1”
Why would they wait?…they made 25 kilos 3 months ago that was determined to be of great quality and confirmed the production process was good to go…
And then they just stopped to play checkers for 3 months while waiting for some trial of another worm?…because?????..
“and the facility for the upcoming trials are currently being renovated.”
Are they?…you sure it’s not done and just hasn’t yet been announced..you know, THE KBLB WAY?….
And what of GSS?….did you conveniently forget about them?…
Imo, they are and have been…
It was a prediction camouflaged as a question because you are too chickenshit to say it any other way…
from Dec 6:
"today announced that its senior management team is en route to Vietnam to prepare for the spring rearing season."
to me this implies the rearing of silkworms, not just egg production...
and then comes the announcement of the production of DS...
from Dec 14:
" today announces the early start to the production season with the successful manufacture and delivery of the most recent batch of recombinant spider silk."
"The purpose of the recently completed production batch was to test our production model. The purpose of the upcoming field trials is to gain data from hybrids which we have developed over the last 12 months. Having those two pieces working together is key to commercial scale production.” said CEO and Founder Kim Thompson."
he says he wants current production to work together with the spring trials is how i read that...
"We have heard of preparing facilities and not a smidgen of info that 1 could be producing currently."
so what is going on at GSS all this time?...they cant produce?...why not?...
"Geez, when was the last time they mentioned prodigy or gss actually doing anything."
by name?...been awhile...but they have mentioned all kinds of stuff about production, rearing etc going on...its must be happening somewhere...
"Probably after the prodigy recalibration they did a test to supply lam dong for the hank run."
Dr Kumar was at the Michigan lab doing his thing for a few months...couldnt they have supplied Lam Dong....and then maybe Prodigy ramped up DS to supply GSS...the Ds used for the 25 kilos was not the old DS, it was the new DS on steroids...
"We wouldn't be getting rehash prs and preparing to file documents if we had silk to report while waiting for trials."
that quote about ramping up DS was from Jan 22...just about 2 months ago...like you said, they had to build up the egg supply first...right?..
wouldnt we just be getting to the time frame for production news?...
"He always tells shareholders good progress."
its coming...probably will be a prelude to the launch of Spydasilk...kim is no longer putting out news haphazardly...the news is being desseminated in a planned manner...for utmost impact i would imagine...and from what i see, its working just fine...
"Of all the words that have pr'd over this time all we have is a few words in a paragraph that is obviously about ramping up production trials."
agreed.....bam1 AND ds...
"Dr. Nirmal Kumar will join senior management to oversee operations and kick off the 2024 production season.
The clearest statement on production so far."
hes there to assist and kick off the Bam1 trials...Bam1 will replace DS...but that doesnt mean we havent been producing DS in the meantime...if we produced 25 kilos in Dec, and the results were great, why would we have stopped there?...
"Was it in a commercial type environment?"
what is so terribly wrong with the idea that ds could be in production at GSS...what am i missing?...they exist...we have a contract with them...we own a piece of them...why would we not be using them?...
"today announces the early start to the production season" = DS
"Dr. Nirmal Kumar will join senior management to oversee operations and kick off the 2024 production season." = Bam1
Exxon had $55 billion in profits in 2022 and $36 billion in profits in 2023...
Exxon polluted the crap out of our environment but wont do anything about it unless the Fed Gov sends them welfare checks and food stamps?...
and until then they will just stop doing anything and hold their breath?...
that hag??
“Can you share where it did take place? Was it in a commercial type environment?”
The last time kim looked for a production facility, kim made a choice and had them produce a test run after which he announced signing GSS…
I’m guessing kim utilized a production facility in Lam Dong to produce those 25 kilos…that run served as an audition and when kim returns, he will announced he signed a new contractor to produce spider silk in Lam Dong….
It may also have been kblb’s audition to enter Lam Dong…
I just looked it over also...but i cant make head or tails of it...looks impressive though...i guess...
https://www.inserco.org/en/sites/default/files/CV_Dr.%20S.%20Nirmal%20Kumar.pdf
“ But yeah, we know, this time is different”
Every time someone mentions what is currently ongoing at Kblb you say this same thing…
It’s been about 25 times you have had to repeat this tired stupid line…
That means there is one hell of a lot going on…
Lmao
"When did 100kg become the benchmark."
months ago...i have mentioned that 100kg becnchmark a multitude of times....and i brought it up again yesterday and MFN agreed...
i used it in connection with my 1 buck a share by end of June...i said we didnt need tonnage to get to a buck...100kg would do it along with other big news and/or contracts with major players...
one buck aint gonna happen with promises of mass production...it has to be proven and current and ongoing...
"Gotta love the internet."
you cant suggest someone is making stuff up if you aint paying attention...
"We have one worth an average $10mil a year revenue."
i was refering to a major player...a company known worldwide...i wasnt refering to a polartec or kings group...
“ Which has been stated several times in the span of a decade.”
Mostly by you…until you were kicked to the curb…
“They have moved from Indiana to Michigan”
Yea from a small office / lab to a much bigger office / lab / production space…its called improving your situation…
“ then went to Quang Nam, and then moved to a new facility”
They originally wanted to get into Lam Dong…they were not allowed…they went to Quang Nam and refurbished a big warehouse into a facility to use for prodigy…their current location was actually built for sericulture use and was a much better location…
“ and now are moving to Lam Dong.”
DEAD WRONG…they are not “moving”…they have finally been allowed entry into Lam Dong and have a new facility there which will become a second wholly owned subsidiary of Kblb called Prodigy Silk…
You see the progression?…the improvement?….what’s so sinister about any of it?…
I’ll answer for you…NOT A DAMN THING
Oh come down off your cross you freakin drama queen…
SMGDH
"People will believe what they want"
they will also believe the truth...
you were kicked to the curb and now desperately want kim to fail...
what a waste...have you nothing better to do?...lol
"<< no one was ever "lied" to... >>
Of course they were. Many times over."
still no...
"FYI - I hope you realize that "expects" is a forward-looking statement according to KBLB's own PRs"
no one needs to confirm that "expects" is a forward looking statement...lol
just like no one needs to confirm that EXPECTS is a firmer opinion than "anticipates" or "plans to"...
and when it is used once and then is more recently confirmed, that also adds weight to the statement...
the key was producing 100 kilos and being able to have consistent production...
in none of those other scenarios you posted was that ever accomplished...we all already know that...
that has to happen first...
the point is this time, it appears far more likely to happen given all the improvements that have been made and all the people and entities who have climbed on board...and the 25 kilos is a big clue as well...
some big names will wait for more proof...but not all of them will....
all we need is one...
new location...new worms...new facility...new contractors...
gee...cant imagine why they are calling it a trial....
smh
truth was a cheerleader for kblb...YMIGH!...
then he got kicked to the curb by kim...
now hes a basher...
its really not that difficult...
"I am amazed at how someone can be lied to again and again and again over a decade, and yet still believe anything that they would say."
no one was ever "lied" to...
and the reason people are believing is because, SEEING is BELIEVING...the evidence is becoming overwhelming...
im amazed at how anyone can see what is right in front of them, choose to ignore it all, and continue to look at the past as a guide...
LMAO
"For example, this statement by KBLB says that the are "in the process" (which means that they aren't there yet) of "ramping up ....trials"."
so what?...whats your point?...heres the rest of that quote: " The move to ramp up production follows on the heels of the Company’s successful early production test announced in December."
RAMP UP PRODUCTION...they made 25 kilos in Dec and are ramping up for more...and another quote: "During the ramp-up phase, while production quantities are relatively limited, the Company is targeting end-product applications in fashion and performance apparel."
sounds good to me...
"And those trials won't be ready for a long while, since they are currently renovating the facility where they are supposed to take place.
heres a quote from kim on Feb 13: “Our team is now preparing for the spring production trials and the launch of our new BAM 1 hybrid. We expect to have this new facility online to support these exciting milestones and the commercialization of our cost-effective, eco-friendly spider silk.”
another quote from March 6: " Renovations of this facility are currently underway, and the Company expects it to be fully operational in time for the spring trials."
not in process but EXPECTS it to be ready for springs trials...he said it not once, but twice...the last very recently...
ill go with what kim SAYS rather than what some basher THINKS...
"The last time that they renovated one of their facilities, it took over a year to complete."
and away we go down memory lane to point to something years past trying to make it relevant today...despite having no idea what the facility looks like, or what renovations might be needed...
"Kings group didn't ask for just 100kg and then we will wait till you fill other orders.
They have a contract to be filled."
kings group doesnt have to wait...they can cancel the contract now....it will expire on Jan 2025 anyway...initially we were going to produce at prodigy and start with a ton every now and then...maybe 3 or 4 tons a year...the kings group sounded fine for that...i never liked the idea luxury street wear, but that is what was decided and i figured maybe its a better idea than i think it is...
but thats not where we are now...i think kim is looking at producing a whole hell of a lot more than 3-4 tons per year...and we will have much bigger companies wanting to sign up...and they wont need kblb to do any weaving or make the fabric, dye it or anything else...all we would have to do is send them the fiber, thread, yarn or whatever...
that is always how i pictured it...just keep it simple...make the yarn and sell it...forget about everything else...kblb can venture into other things once they are making many tons and much money...i highly doubt nike, addidas or UA will even WANT kblb to do anything more than ship them the fiber...
" People who were insisting yesterday KBLB was already in production aren’t eager to admit they were wrong."
lol
100% agree
Agreed…which is why I said we could be at a buck by the end of June…even without tonnage…I said 100 kilos would be enough…
Kblb will still take some time to get to tonnage…and take even more time to get to 20 tons…
Big companies will need a lot of tons…but they know the first one to sign will get the best deal and the first silk (besides Spydasilk that is)…
They also know that any other company wanting BAM1 will have to wait awhile…
The only other ones that kim might squeeze in are pharmaceuticals or medical…they won’t need as much….to start, anyway…
"Thanks for being a voice of reason (amongst all of the rah rah BS that is posted all of the time)."
what the hell do you care?...
beside which, i think you misunderstood him...
as you do most things...
" then you just seem crazy rather than stupid too."
LMAO!...aint that the truth...i cant tell you how many times i have averaged down, lowering my cost basis...i had no idea that it couldnt be done...but if so, then how did i do it??...lol
"Dr Kumar's resume doesn't include anything about transgenic / recombinant silkworms. So he is missing a HUGE piece of the puzzle in regards to KBLB."
you dont think he has seen the spider silk??...you dont think he has felt it?...you dont think he knows the properties it contains?...the strength?...the toughness?...the flexibility?..you dont think he can tell that its different and even FAR superior to mundane silk?...what kind of expert do you think he is?...lol
do you think Dr Kumar is walking around wearing oven gloves and is blindfolded?...smh
"As such, there is no way that he can know if what KBLB is trying is achievable."
it has ALREADY BEEN ACHIEVED!....what Dr Kumar is there to do is help mass produce it!...
"I was thinking the same thing as you, I assume Dr. Kumar has held the silk in his hands after 5 months."
apparently webstinker thinks that Dr Kumar who has 37 years of experience in sericulture is being duped...hes overhauling and over seeing the entire processes at kblb and now vietnam and apparently has no idea that kblb has nothing and is doing nothing at all...
and this is happening without Dr Kumar having any idea...
lmao
