Rembrandt: I like your dream and the picture that you painted. May your dream come to be fully realized in time.
What if… this occurrence… is a good thing? May be a PR is soon to be issued by the company that states: “The company is going private and hereby tenders an offer for all outstanding shares at a price of $0.10 for each share.”
Then, yes, it will all be over, and our long wait will have been handsomely rewarded; a very happy ending indeed!
Hilarious! I needed a good laugh.
September? Isn't that just great? Well... count me in until the end happens, whether that is tomorrow, sometime in September or even as late as December 21, 2012. (After that date all bets are off!)
ROCKET MAN
If this candle ever does get lit, which is my sincerest wish, it will be for the reason that I am standing way too close to this rocket when it leaves the launch pad.
Personally, I am hoping for sufficient rocket blast strength to singe off my eyebrows and then some. Countdown: 4, 3, 2, 1 … (Houston is there a problem?)
All in my opinion, of course.
OT: Thanks. Looks great! I'll add it to my "Bucket List".
Ha! OK. With T-H-A-T definition I can see that I better come clean… My preferred definition for Euraquilo is the name given to the wind which drove Paul’s ship to shipwreck at Melita (Acts 27:14).
Whew! I am probably going to need to take some of the gargantuan pile of money that I am going to make after the T/O has occurred on GBDX, and invest it into a trip somewhere and try to mend my psyche. (I think that I can faintly hear the sound of one hand clapping in the distance now…I hope this is a good development.)
I confess, that in a weak moment, I would torture myself with the vision of three or four college kids in a coffee shop, sitting around with their laptops and coffees yucking it up while they pretended to be strangers to each other on-line as they continued to bash this stock to oblivion; sort of an elective class project.
“Ah say, ah say, ah say GBDX is startin' to exhibit ‘suffering insuferiority’ symptoms! I-I-I know what you're gonna say son. When two halves is gone there's nuthin' left - and you're right. It's a little ol' worm who wasn't there. Two nuthins is nuthin'. That's mathematics son. You can argue with me but you can't argue with figures. Two half nuthins is a whole nuthin'.” Rooster Foghorn Leghorn
Ha! Backlash Boogie. That's a good one Elliot.
"Alive... It's alive... IT'S ALIVE!!" he shrieked loudly in his best Gene Wilder impression that he could muster.
Yep. Us longs have purchased the right of admission and are now just waiting for the show to start. My hope is for a "really, really good shoe", as Ed Sullivan would say.
Thanks Eliot for your reply. Yes, some 'sign' from the motherland would be most welcome.
Elliot, any idea on what is driving the summer time frame (if we are lucky) for the TO? Just because it hasn't happened yet, or is there some event that may have been holding this back from happening?
Remember well the sarcasm that “It’s always darkest before it turns absolutely pitch black”. I think that it’s safe to say that the information on GBDX turned absolutely pitch black quite awhile ago. But I continue to hope for news of a TO from the company and a rapid recovery of the PPS.
I had a dream in November 2007. In the dream there was an after hours PR issued from GBDX stating the terms of the TO. The terms were for shares to be tendered in the amount of 0.097 per share. Unfortunately, I woke up before I could complete the dream and missed out on seeing what might possibly have occurred the next day, like a short squeeze.
What struck me about my dream though was the suddenness and finality of the TO. Hopefully, the TO is right around the corner and that it will immediately end all speculation once and for all.
Eliot, I have made the decision to continue to hold GBDX, but I feel naked doing so. I am also hoping that GBDX is naked in a big way too.
Limey, I agree with you on the State requirement of 60 "CALENDAR" days after the announcement on Sept. 17th, which would make it this Friday, November 16th, however, I thought that the SEC requirement was for 35 "CONSECUTIVE TRADING" days after October 15th, which would put this date out to Tuesday, December 4th (accounting for one day the exchanges will be closed for Thanksgiving Day).
A buck!?! Cough! Yeh!! That would be real sweet Rembrandt!
Bring it on GBDX! I can take it!
Excellant quote!! That one's a keeper. Thanks Brent.
The following statement from GBDX originally appeared in the PR dated April 4 and has essentially appeared in subsequent PR’s dated 4/25, 6/11, 8/15 and 9/17: You the shareholders want and deserve a clear explanation of the potential transaction. “The attorneys will provide that once the process is complete, including all material facts such as record dates and pay dates.”
I am persuaded to believe the PR’s at this time based on the fact that there has not been a typical pump coming from the company. I REMAIN LONG AND CONTINUE TO WAIT FOR THE MATERIAL FACTS FROM THE COMPANY.
Ronnie, many of us could fall into the new economic class called middle-class millionaires:

Great timing RonnieD!
I'm looking forward also to the TO soon on GBDX.
Long and strong!
Hi Brent, I appreciate your daily thoughts, which I find to be a continual source of inspiration, and which focus on the nobility of man and his role and purpose in recognizing a higher, spiritual calling.
“There are no days in life so memorable as those which vibrated to some stroke of the imagination.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
May we imagine our stocks vibrating and increasing in profit, causing a great and memorable experience for us all that are called.
RonnieD, just for fun, I'm imagining a TO price of 0.137 in September.
My fortune cookie last night said "You will soon find a treasure".
Long and strong.
IMAGINATION
To paraphrase a quote by Norman Vincent Peale “Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of GBDX stock exploding upward. Hold this picture tenaciously. Never permit a basher to allow it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop the picture...Do not build-up obstacles (doubt) in your imagination.”
I added more today on this dip. I am imagining a very lucrative take over offer for my shares.
Long and strong DC13!
Yeearrrgghh
Just bought 50K shares filled at 0.043
Thanks Nano.
Marked
I see that Leo Ehrlich, SSUR Chief Financial Officer, is also a member of the Board of Directors at NNVC.
Cosmo, what a great thread for those of us who appreciate art. I have it book marked now.
I’m currently reading a book on Childe Hassam by Warren Adelson. The more that I learn about Childe Hassam and see his body of work, the more that I come to recognize his important and significant contribution to American art near the turn-of the-century. I am drawn to the movement of Impressionism in general, and really appreciate the work of the American Ten in particular.
If I were to pick a series of Hassam's that I find particularly appealing, it would have to be the Isles of Shoals. This series of paintings with the colors, patterns and textures all come together and achieve a very pleasing visual harmony. I was able to see a couple of these pieces at the Portland Art Museum recently and they are really spectacular.
GLTY
Picked up another million this am. Can't have westeffer do all the heavy lifting!
Picked up another 125K here.
If you're still tracking the numbers, you can put me down for 850K.
Fantastic results westeffer!!
Do you typically plan an exit strategy prior to each stock purchase? For instance, did you purchase SPZI with the intent of selling most or all of your shares at the $0.05 resistance or some other resistance?
Do you have an exit in mind for NNVC or are you planning to just "hold-on" for the ride and see where this one goes?
Thanks.
