As Democrats struggle to find 'who can sell this slop' to voters, here comes Stacey Abrams

Rather amazingly, Democrats are promoting the addition of yet another candidate to their crowded subway car of potential presidential candidates - this time, failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.

Here's what The Hill is reporting:


Democrats say there’s room in their crowded presidential field for one more high-profile candidate: Stacey Abrams.

The Georgia Democrat, who became a national name in her gubernatorial bid last year, is pondering whether to run for the White House — or the Senate, where Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) would love to have her take on Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.).

When Abrams's name was floated as a potential vice presidential pick for former Vice President Joe Biden, who has yet to enter the race himself, some supporters were offended because they saw her as the politician who should be at the top of the ticket.

Some Democrats say she would add a degree of diversity to a race that at the top looks to be crowded with white men.

It's weird stuff, given that Abrams hold views that are identical to those of the rest of the Democrats - socialism of an extreme sort. She's not being put there on the strength of her ideas. Based on her Georgia campaign website and other sources, Abrams favors gun control, Medicaid expansion, post-birth abortion, environmental "justice," the green agenda, open borders, letting criminals out of jail, gay marriage, raising the minimum wage, tax hikes, etc., the whole cookie cutter agenda of the radical left taken over the Democratic Party. In this regard, Abams offers nothing new, just the same stale stuff the rest of them are selling as Venezuela fries away in the background from those very ideas put into action.

The only thing that makes Abrams different is that she's black. That's a big deal for Democrats because they've got an identity politics platform, and the people they've already put out there on that basis - Cory Booker (black), Julian Castro (Latino), Pete Buttegieg (gay), Amy Klobuchar and Kirsten Gillebrand (women), Kamala Harris (woman, black and Asian -- a threefer), Andrew Yang (Asian), Elizabeth Warren (real woman, fake Indian), aren't going anywhere in the polls.

Beto O'Rourke, who is going somewhere in the polls, is a fake Latino, but in reality, an inconveniently white male. The other two frontrunners, much to Democrats' embarrassment from their own point of view, are old white men, too - Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders. And every one of them is offering the same old plate of socialism, just in different identity packaging.

So who is going to sell this slop the Democrats are selling? Abrams is now the designated hitter. The old white guys are an inconvenient for them, being jurassic, white, and male. Abrams on the other hand, is black, and not in that polished, fireproof corporate way that "best-looking" Harris is, but in a homey, everywoman way black, which comes off as authentic. We all can rest assured that unlike Harris, Abrams didn't sleep her way to the top.

Abrams, who narrowly lost the governor's race in Georgia last year, also has political talent. Anyone who can sell a load of socialism to voters and not be laughed out of the room or tossed out as a bum, has political talent.

Which boils it down to the real issue: Democrats are trying to sell American voters a load of socialism, and only the most charismatic of pols can pull it off. Bernie has it. Beto has it. Biden doesn't, but that's a function of moderate Democrats not wanting to elect a far-left nut, and some are endeared to his many gaffes as they see those as authentic.

Enter Abrams, who is black, has charisma, and has exactly the views the Democrats want to promote. It's a cynical entry from the Democratic operatives' perspective, being based on personality politics rather than any attunement to what voters want. Here's the package, let's get Abrams to sell it.

It's unlikely to work, given that it's above all, the work of their own otherwise unsalable agenda.

CNN disgraces itself over Mike Pompeo

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour asked James Comey, the disgraced head of the FBI, if his FBI should have shut down “hate speech” at Trump rallies.

Hate speech, we need to understand, is speech the left disapproves of. Amanpour has said nothing about Hillary Clinton calling Trump supporters “deplorable,” not to mention the 24/7 CNN attacks on the president, including calling him a traitor.


When a journalist asks an FBI chief to close down speech she doesn’t like is when America and its media has reached a dangerous moment. It’s when liberal progressive news channels become intolerant regressive political machines.

This wasn’t a first for Amanpour, a once-great journalist now become a well-paid media party hack.

Amanpour was active in preventing Mike Pompeo, the U.S. Secretary of State, from becoming the recipient of the James Foley Freedom Award.

To remind ourselves, James Foley was beheaded by ISIS in 2014 by what President Obama described as “the JV team,” and it was the Trump Administration, including Pompeo, that gave the command and led the total defeat of ISIS.

Part of the proud record of Mike Pompeo in rescuing hostages was outlined in his letter to Diane, James Foley’s mother on April 2, 2019, on learning he had been selected to receive the award.

You and your son’s mission to advocate for and advance the safe return of Americans detained unjustly abroad has been my mission as the Director of the CIA and as the Secretary of State. It is the President’s mission.

Since President Trump took office, his administration, led by Pompeo, has led to the return of Otto Warmbier, Tony Kim, Kim Hak-song, and Kim Dong-chul from North Korea, Caitlan Coleman and her children from the Taliban in Afghanistan after five years’ captivity while Obama was in the White House. Josh Holt was returned from Venezuela. Pastor Andrew Brunson was reunited with his family. Danny Burch was released from captivity in Yemen. And the Secretary of State is hard at work attempting to force the release of other Americans still languishing in captivity in Iran, Syria, and Afghanistan.

Instead of awarding Mike Pompeo for his successful service to the cause behind the award, biased media critics of the current administration, with their visceral hatred of Trump and his anyone immediate, went after the Pompeo nomination with a vengeance, even threatening to disrupt the ceremony.

The foundation behind the award bowed to pressure and decided to rescind the nomination from Mike Pompeo.

On learning of this decision Mike Pompeo wrote to James’ parents,

I understand that the Foundation decided to rescind the Freedom Award and my invitation to attend the 2019 James Foley Freedom Awards due to pressure from its media partners and your fear, stated in your letter, that some guests at the dinner would not show my office proper respect if I attended...”

How sad is it that base politics and hatred have been allowed to creep into even this sphere of our activity. The safe recovery of Americans held hostage overseas should be beyond politics and must enjoy the support of all Americans. I regret that pressure of such a cynical and abominable nature was brought to bear on you and John.

The ignoble conduct of those behind this sad deed, [and that included Christiane Amanpour] will never diminish my commitment, and of the commitment of the men and women that I lead, to the safe recovery of all Americans unjustly held abroad.

The grace of Mike Pompeo and the disgrace of media people such as Christiane Amanpour can be seen in their words and actions.

So there's no crisis on the border....

We continue to have a partisan debate up here about the crisis on the border. However, all you have to do is look to the border itself and see something that looks a lot like a crisis to me.

This is from John Daniel Davidson:


McAllen, a city of fewer than 150,000 residents, is now facing the prospect of thousands of migrants discharged from ICE custody, wandering the streets and sleeping in doorways and on park benches—the city’s mayor has said as much.

What’s more, in February the city ordered Catholic Charities to vacate the former nursing home and find a new location within 90 days, citing complaints from neighbors about constant traffic and strangers wandering nearby streets where children play. By any measure, the situation in McAllen is an emergency.

This is just one border town in Texas.

Something similar is playing out all up and down the U.S.-Mexico border. In El Paso, hundreds of migrant families are turning themselves in to Border Patrol every day, overwhelming federal facilities and personnel. In a five-minute stretch one day in late March, Border Patrol apprehended two different groups totaling 400 people.

On the night of President Trump’s rally in El Paso in February, a group of 300 turned themselves in to the Santa Teresa Border Patrol station, which sits on an empty stretch of New Mexico scrubland 22 miles west of El Paso. Agents had to move all the ATVs out of the garage just so a hundred or so migrants would have someplace warm to sleep that night.

Since then, things have been getting worse.

And that's McAllen. Add Eagle Pass, El Paso, and others. No country has enough border patrol agents or resources to stop something like this.

The article also points out that the cartels are making millions of dollars transporting people through Mexico. I would call that a humanitarian crisis!

Nevertheless, we keep hearing from many Democrats that this is not a crisis. At some point, even Democrats will have to admit the reality of what is happening on the border. We have something that looks and feels a lot like a crisis.

Trump is Popping in the Polls

Watch most cable or network news shows and the message is clear -- President Donald Trump is unpopular, especially compared to the dozens of fresh faces attempting to challenge him for the White House in 2020. Some of the faces are not so fresh as three of the leading contenders -- Biden, Sanders, and Warren are septuagenarians.

Despite the exonerating Mueller report, Trump is still on the ropes, about to be impeached, a Russian agent, and so on. Trump is also a Nazi, racist, homophobe, Islamophobe, and sexist pig. Nobody likes him. At least that’s what CNN says.


If this was truly the case, Trump should be polling in the low 30s at best, with most of the country giving him and his administration a thumbs down on performance and results. Yet reality is far different. In the media bubble, where journalists all live in the same neighborhoods, kids attend the same schools, all go to the same parties and belong to the same tennis and fitness clubs, there are no MAGA hats to be seen.

Outside the bubble, the picture is far different, even if the smart set at MSNBC and the New York Times choose not to see it. What do opinion polls say?

Rasmussen has the well-deserved reputation as the most accurate pollster, based on being the closest of all major polling organization in predicting the results of the 2016 presidential election.

In their daily presidential tracking poll, as of Friday April 5, President Trump had a 51 percent total approval number. Most of this calendar year, despite the constant drumbeat of Russian collusion, his approval number has been in the mid to high 40s, ranging from a low of 43 percent to a high of 52 percent since January 1.

For comparison, President Obama, exactly eight years ago on April 5, 2011, was at 47 percent approval, with numbers ranging from the mid to high 40s, occasionally hitting 50 percent, much the same as President Trump.

At first glance, one might say both presidents were equally popular at the same points of their respective presidencies. And both went on to be reelected for a second term. Fair enough -- but there is more.

What shapes public opinion in significant part? The media. What has the media’s role been in influencing opinion during the Obama versus Trump presidencies?

Media coverage of President Trump has been almost exclusively negative. NewsBusters reported 90 percent negative coverage of Trump during 2018, matching similarly negative coverage in 2017. But without effect, as they note.

At the midpoint of Donald Trump’s first term, the establishment media’s obvious hostility shows no signs of relenting, but polls show this negative coverage has had no discernible impact on the public’s attitudes toward the President.

According to Pew Research, another polling firm, news stories about Trump were only 5 percent positive in 2017, compared to 42 percent positive for President Obama in 2009. And yet in public opinion polls such as Rasmussen, the two presidents poll similarly, with Trump having a slight edge.

It’s not just Trump. George W. Bush had 22 percent positive media coverage with Bill Clinton at 27 percent positive. It’s more than clear that Obama was the media’s favorite with Trump being their redheaded stepchild.

Imagine Trump’s approval ratings if he had media coverage similar to that of his predecessor? I realize that could not happen, as most of the mainstream media and the Democratic Party are one and the same. But if Trump had 42 percent positive coverage as did Obama, his approval number would likely be at 60 percent or higher.

Do the recent midterm elections provide any clues as to Trump’s prospects of reelection in 2020? The Washington Post surprisingly acknowledged, “If the midterms were a referendum, Trump won.” CNN had a similar take on the midterms, “President Donald Trump's poll numbers are bad, but here's why he could win in 2020.”

CNN did something most out of character, they cited a Fox News Poll. Normally they are quite critical of Fox, partially out of ratings envy and partially because they believe Fox, Trump, and Russia are the triumvirate of illegal collusion. But said poll from a month after the midterms found that only 39 percent of voters think Trump will be reelected.

That’s not at all surprising if you get your news from CNN, MSNBC, or any of the other major networks, or if you read the New York Times or Washington Post, and hear a constant drumbeat of Trump negativity, including predictions of his imminent indictment and impeachment for being a Russian agent and a traitor.

As some point, readers and listeners begin believing that Trump’s days are numbered. It’s the Stockholm syndrome for those of us held hostage by the mainstream media.

Even Trump himself admitted before the 2016 election, “That like many in the country and worldwide, he ‘sort of’ thought he was going to lose.” Why not? Trump is a news junkie and he heard the same claptrap from the media that the rest of us hear every day. Sure, he had his own internal polling, but when every news show on TV and every newspaper predicts Hillary Clinton winning in a landslide, even candidate Trump believed it to some degree.

In fleeting moments of honesty, some news organizations admit the obvious. From the Atlantic, “Why Trump is the favorite in 2020.” Or from another far-left news outlet the Daily Beast, “Trump should have a 70 percent chance of winning in 2020.”

His recent Rasmussen numbers are optimistic, but don’t expect Trump to be complacent, and neither should his supporters. His campaign organization now has a winning election under its belt and will be even more formidable in 2020 compared to 2016. The Democratic field of challengers are hacks who don’t hold a candle to Trump in terms of charisma and connection to the voters. Their ideas are as stale as month-old Russian borscht, resurrected from the grand ideas of the old Soviet Politburo, with some Democrat candidates as old as the last general secretaries of the Soviet Union.

Much can happen between now and November 2020, but if Trump pushes onward with his agenda, he will be tough to beat. The nail in the Democratic coffin is Trump building the wall, stopping illegal immigration, declassifying the FISA warrants, and punishing those who seditiously lied to Congress, the courts, and the American people.

This election is his to lose and despite the incessant whinging from Democrats and the media, his poll numbers and momentum favor a big win in 2020.

Pres. Touts Relationship With Israel At Republican Jewish Coalition In Las Vegas

President Trump said the United States’ relationship with Israel is at its highest point in history.

Speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas today Saturday, the president touted the historic action his administration has taken to recognize Israel, and strengthen its place in the world.

These moves include last month’s recognition of Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and last year’s opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem.

President Trump also pointed out republicans have not allowed anti-Semitism to take root in their party, compared to recent comments by some Democrats.

“And now the Democrats have allowed the terrible scourge of antisemitism to take root in their party and in this country,” said President Trump.

The president’s comments were referring to anti-Semitic tropes made by Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar.

Democrats have been accused of failing to condemn her actions, and instead allow her to sit on the powerful foreign affairs committee.

The Tea Party is back!

And about time...

President Trump has our economy booming. Unemployment claims are at an unprecedented 50-year-low. There are more jobs available than there are workers to fill them.

Yet every Democrat presidential candidate is on a mad dash to socialism. If a Democrat is elected president in 2020, we will be thrust back to the depressing days of Obama's failed economy: record-high numbers of Americans on food stamps, unemployment, and disability. Democrats are like drug-dealers seeking to insidiously addict Americans to government dependency solely to control their lives, behavior, and voting loyalty.


From the beginning of the Tea Party movement, I traveled the country on numerous national Tea Party bus tours, speaking and performing my song, "American Tea Party Anthem," at over 500 Tea Party rallies nationwide.

Reflecting back to Obama's horrible economy, I fondly remember the five dollar lady. After my performance on stage at a rally in Texas, I was approached by a humble woman. She thanked me for what our team of patriots was doing for our country. She explained that Obama's anti-business policies cost her husband, a trucker, his job. With tears in her eyes, she grabbed my hand with both her hands, giving me a crumpled up five-dollar bill for gas for our tour bus. I instinctively knew that five dollars was a huge contribution from her. The five dollar lady drove home the importance of our mission and responsibility to push back against Obama's plan to transform America into a socialist nation.

On April 15, Stop Socialism Choose Freedom Rallies are scheduled across America — 300 thus far, with more added daily. Yes, the Tea Party is back. Please join us.

Actually, the Tea Party never went away. We matured, working behind the scenes to elect conservatives, becoming less visible. I became chairman of the Conservative Campaign Committee, traveling the country, helping to elect conservatives in House and Senate races.

With their every attempt to remove Trump from office failing, the evil coalition of Democrats, fake news, and the Deep State have become totally deranged. They seek to create a race war and violence on Trump-supporters while arrogantly breaking laws. No sacrifice is too large or scheme too low if it will remove Trump from the White House.

Democrats' extreme lawless resistance requires the Tea Party to become highly visible again. The Tea Party is the righteous legal resistance to Democrats' deranged, violent, and illegal resistance.

I am excited to announce that 34% of those who attended Trump's latest rally in Michigan were registered Democrats. Trump is also winning blacks, Hispanics, and Millennials.

This means that despite fake news media's 24/7 lies, deceptions, and distortions about Trump, more Americans are beginning to discern that Trump is good for America. Let's pull formerly duped Americans into our Tea Party fold to rally behind our president.

Please allow me to address Democrats' and fake news media's despicable hate-generating lie that says the Tea Party and Trump are racist. I am a proud black American who attended over 500 Tea Party rallies nationwide. I was showered with patriot love and appreciation. Trump has an excellent record of hiring blacks. Blacks are experiencing unprecedented prosperity under Trump — historic low unemployment.

Thirty-two-year-old Todd Beamer was an American passenger aboard United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked as part of the Islamic terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Beamer led a band of courageous fellow passengers in an attempt to regain control of the aircraft from the hijackers. During the struggle, control of the aircraft was lost. It crashed into a field in Pennsylvania, saving the hijackers' intended target, which prevented the murder of more Americans. Upon the passengers launching their attack, Beamer said, "Let's roll."
