If I may k2,
I've dropped the home delivery of the Los Angeles Times.
The front page has become the feature page. The second pages are op ed and the op ed page is a tangle of slanted writing.
Now I take it online for the crosswords and the comics in place of what once was a gem of a paper for its investigative and straightforward writing.

You're welcome, Ske.
Be safe!
Trueheart
My, Ske, you're up early. Good morning to you and all.
I just read about tornado warnings issued for the South and Midwest.
Please be aware and wary of the storms.
I have two buddies from the Marines who live in Arkansas and Tennessee. It's interesting to me that they're not terribly concerned about the possibilities of getting whacked.
I suppose that's because of the unpredictability of the tornadoes materializing or the path of the storms, or the fact that they've been there and done that.
Be alert!

Hey, BnB,
After scoring the personal 20% off coupon from BBBY, I thought perhaps something other than my diligence in persuading them to grant me one played a hand: could it be divine intervention?
Trueheart
I searched high and low to get the Bed, Bath & Beyond 20% off coupon but I got it!
I knew that hard work and persistence would win out, and perhaps a bit of luck. Imagine, 20% just for me.
Trueheart
Carp1, regarding your young friend who passed away from the COVID19, I offer my condolences to his family and to you.
Trueheart
Hi Ske,
I got the impression you were an engineer from a post from EZ to you. I surely misread it.
Running that 100-car coal train must have been fun.
Steam engines were pretty much obsolete after WWII but they were hauling freight here and there into the '60s.
You posted 4" of rain had fallen during your storm. We had .04" during that time. Howsomeever, snow and rain may be on the schedule next week. I'm keeping my eyes crossed.
Have a great weekend.
Trueheart
Hola Ske and all,
I hope your visit with your tax person went well.
By the way, I understand you were a railroad engineer. I hope I have that right. I realize you're not as old as this geezer, but did you have the privilege of driving a steam engine???
I am a big fan of railroading, especially steam. My father worked for Southern Pacific as a steam fitter, then as a diesel mechanic.
Trueheart
Roger that, EZ.
Most of the lower level horse track workers have a last name that ends in "ez." (Not to be confused with EZ!) You hear them chattering and shouting in Spanish as the ponies are being loaded in the gate.
Enjoy your weekend.
Trueheart
The financials don't matter.
This is a play!

An interesting thing is that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce loves unmitigated immigration. As does Hormel and Tyson that employ illegals in their food factories. Whole towns have been taken over by immigrants.
We love and have gotten used to cheap food powered by cheap labor. If American workers were employed in these factories and paid a fair wage to cut up chickens, Colonel Sanders would be advertising the Twenty Piece Meal Deal for only fifty bucks!
Trueheart
The trolls are everywhere in internet life. Youngsters are followed as if they were experienced hands. And, my biggest gripe about the internet is the mouse, the one who wouldn't speak up in class, too timid to answer a teacher's question or offer an opinion.
He spouts and rants and detracts on the anonymous soapbox from which he believes he can make up for his lifelong feelings of inadequacy.
As to your story, you, sir, have a vivid imagination, but I like the story. Looks like a Netflix possibility.
Yepper
As to the detractors, fugg'em MG. You have made your calls and then alerted others, all with sound research and a good heart.
KMPH is at the top of the NASDAQ percentage gains leader board.
Trueheart
Yeppers, POSH.
Newsom has just gotten religion and is leading the charge to open schools.
It may be late for him get "saved."
Trueheart
An interesting thing about west and east coast guvs is that both shortly may be in their respective breadlines.
Cuomo may be forced to resign and Newsom may be "resigned" by the voters.
Trueheart
Ske, the news is good that you're on higher ground and not treading water and being impacted by the flooding. Still, 4" of rain in a day is astounding.
So far this rain year that's about all we've gotten.
Trueheart
Hey Ske,
I just saw videos of the serious flooding in Kentucky.
Hope all is well and that you are safe.
Trueheart
MG, good luck on your Tuesday KMPH call.
Trueheart
Hey Mg,
KMPH showed up again on the CNBC crawl.
Do you have an inside there?
Trueheart
Thanks for the cheer, Stuffie.
I'm glad to hear that both of you are on track to finish up your shots together. Ain't it grand?
My son wanted to take me to dinner for my BD but we had to skip the date. I get to see him often on my cell phone but, as you said, there's nothing like real hugs (abrazos in Spanish).
Best wishes,
Trueheart
Hola Stuffie,
It's nice to see you in the halls again.
Your problem getting the vaccination seems to be pretty widespread. My older sister who has a myriad of underlying issues can't find a place to get her shot. Yet, Los Angeles County and the city have found enough vaccine to give it to inner city people regardless of status.
I got my first shot at the VA and will get the second on Friday. The message came out of the blue and I signed up immediately. I had been trying for weeks at the county and hospitals and local drug stores to no avail. Every call was circular, sending me back to other possibilities.
I hope you can get set up shortly so that you can get out to visit family and friends. Me, two weeks after my second shot I'm going to visit my son.
Take care,
Trueheart
Hey MG,
Yeppers, the price of regular in Penn is less than we're paying in Southern Caleeeforneeuh.
The best price for regular today appears to be at Costco that is charging $3.19 for the volatile and stinky car juice. Most stations as I recall are posted around $3.35 or so. My other car is a Mercedes. It works only on the high-priced, high test stuff so I have to sell heirlooms on Ebay so I can fill the tank on my marvel of German engineering.
Be careful on the roads.

Good day all,
Mike Lindell got his wish today (Monday). Dominion Voting Systems sued him for defamation for more than $1.3 billion, according to the WSJ and the NYT. Again, they are claiming irreparable damage just as the company did in its suits against Powell and Giuliani.
Lindell had been warned repeatedly to stop claiming that Dominion was involved in a conspiracy of widespread fraud to throw the election to Biden through corrupted software and counting systems, and when he continued to promote his claims, the company sued.
The 115 page document alleges that "through discovery, Dominion will prove that there is no real evidence supporting the Big Lie. Dominion brings this action to vindicate the company's rights, to recover damages, to seek a narrowly tailored injunction, to stand up for itself and its employees, and to stop Lindell and MyPillow from further profiting at Dominion's expense." Dominion's attorneys said that sales of the pillows increased from 30% to 40% since Lindell began making his claims.
In reference to the two-hour documentary produced by Lindell and shown on television that was billed as providing proof that Dominion indeed cheated, the company's counsel said Lindell instead "delivered absolute nonsense and fake documents sourced from dark corners of the internet," adding that that Lindell "needs to be held accountable for defaming Dominion and undermining the integrity of our electoral system all the while profiting from it.
Prior to the suit, Lindell said that he welcomed a lawsuit and through the discovery process that will reveal Dominion's software and documents to himself and his attorneys, he will prove that Dominion was involved in a conspiracy to throw the election to Biden.
Giuliani called Dominion's lawsuit against him an "act of intimidation" to "censor the exercise of free speech" and Powell called Dominion's action against her "baseless."
So, the merits of the three lawsuits and the defense against them will be revealed in discovery. All evidence must to be revealed in that phase. Woe be whichever side if in court it is discovered that evidence was purposely withheld or tainted.
Trueheart
You're welcome, MG.
Trueheart
I must differ with you strenuously.
Management just hired another old guy. That makes a 20% increase in equipment output. I've heard talk on the grapevine they're going to take over the failing massage parlor next door to use as a warehouse.
Trueheart
Hola MG,
Your KMPH showed on the crawl during CNBC's Fast Money.
Trueheart
There was so many horses the race looked like a stampede out of the gate.
Yeppers, the race was exciting. Pundits are chewing on Charlatan's rider, Mike Smith, saying he should have lain back off the lead, but Mishriff ran the perfect race to win with Kid Egan in the saddle.
Simply put, peaking and stars aligned, I think that it was Mishriff's day to take home ten million bucks.
I love to see 'em run.
Trueheart
So, did you mortgage the house and put the money on Mishriff?
I didn't know the Saudi's showed emotions. Probably only when it comes to horses.
Trueheart
Hola Ske and all from America's west side,
I'm glad to hear that most of the snow missed your area. Texas-style cold and snow is not purty.
I got an email from a gal who lives just outside of Dallas. She said it's COOOOLLLLDDDD!
I'm heading out on a bike ride this afternoon. The temps are pleasant, around 70 today, but the nights are near freezing. I'd gladly swap a little of the cold and snow for the dry spell we're experiencing.
Enjoy your weekend.
Trueheart
The same to you, POSH,
The temperature lows and the geographical extent of the storms are astounding. The plight of those affected severely is heart-wrenching. People who have no heat and no resources have died from the effects of carbon monoxide poisoning!
Stay safe and be safe.
Trueheart
Per Texas Governor Abbot, Mr. Trueheart is officially wrong about the causes of the huge electrical problem in the state which he put on windmills and solar panels.
He acknowledged that the frozen windmills and snow-covered solar panels were not all to blame and said that natural gas facilities and instrumentation froze.
Mea culpa.
Trueheart
Mike Lindell repeatedly asked Dominion Voting Systems to sue him so that he could get into the company's methodology and software during discovery. Well, Dominion granted him his wish and will sue him, per a heck of a lot of sources. The amount they will seek has not been disclosed as of today (Wednesday) but it will likely be in the plaintiff's formal lawsuit.
Lindell doubled down after he was warned he would be sued for saying Dominion was involved in a nation-wide conspiracy to throw the election to Biden.
As to Sidney Powell, Dominion's attorneys said they had to chase her across the country to serve her. Powell said she was traveling on business. She requested an extension to March 22 so that she could respond to the $1.3 billion lawsuit. Dominion's attorneys granted the request.
I hope you've all doing well during the bitter cold spell.
Trueheart
Hiya Mart,
It's good to hear from you. I thought you had been long gone.
This recent interest that could be driven by Billy hopefully is not another series of visits and photo ops with the COMIBOL miners.
Good luck.
Trueheart
Mart was the big investor in Frankie. He had tens of millions of shares and had followed Billy and the previous fellow for almost two decades during which the duo made promises of doing something in Bowleevia that would make the company viable.
Not one of their schemes came to fruition.
Haven't heard from Mart in years.
Trueheart
The difficult weather situations in Texas and possibly in your area are probably being caused to some extent by frozen power windmills and solar panels that can't "see" the sun because of clouds and the snow.
The pell mell rush to becoming dependent on alternative power sans reliable gas generation is showing its slip.
My opinion.
Trueheart
I feel for you guys.
The news stories about ice and snow and the plunging cold temperatures are startling. Videos show cars and trucks completely losing traction and skidding on ice-covered roads, going sideways and backwards and spinning, plowing into other vehicles.
Reports show many losing power and heat!
Please be safe and stay off the roads if you can.
Trueheart
Hey Ske and all, hope you're enjoying your day.
I just saw the news about a major storm heading your way. It's the Polar Vortex and it may have your area on its menu.
Be careful.
Trueheart
Yeah, yeah. The company upgraded equipment for Pelacayo and the big mother lode at Cerro Rico. Then there was the gold sale, the hydroelectric generators, the tin sales, gas and oil in the highlands, the airline, gold dredges, etc.
Billy and his predecessor posted their fantasies but nothing came to fruition over many years.
Play it as best you can, but until the company actually puts a shovel in the ground, processes the ore and sells it, you are at your own peril.
I had a lot of fun here after I realized that nothing had ever happened. There were the mama llamas and the coochi-coochi girls and the emaciated boy miners.
Trueehart
I don't think there is a person on the pro side who is a true believer in the viability of the company. It's merely a vehicle to make money.
The deal here as it has always been is that the pro players will buy cheap and sell high and the latecomers will buy high and sell low.
It's wash and rinse, unless the Kryenhagen Formation in the San Joaquin Valley proves to be an oil bonanza.
Trueheart
You said, "I suspect that several of the SA shills left with Jugs."
Jugs died of cancer, goddamnit!
