Fred...What tax free law on this stock???? Some while ago I ran across some vague article about this type of stock, if purchased within a certain time frame, WAS tax free of capital gains. Could this be so ??
Thanks
Please read my two previous posts, #22821 pertaining to going private, and post # 24680 regarding a special stock offering plus warrant.
My opinion now, is that IMSC is headed to “Going Private”.
How else can you explain the deafening silence and lack of promotion with all the good news coming our way?
Keeping mum is a safe course.... silence can't come back to haunt you. The current status-quo could buy time while you marshall buy-out financing and, with possibly an even lower SP?
The stock price is much too low, but it is the stock price. The “Value” of the stock is much higher in my opinion. ...and “true value" is what must be unleashed.
After going private, if any current impediments to stock price appreciation are relieved then the SP will appreciate accordingly. Sadly, the current stockholders will be on the outside-looking-in.
What effect could the "yes" or "no" vote have on the share price???
Could IMSC arrange to reserve some future income for purchasing, or exceeding the amount that DM would place on the open market, or a buy- back of a similar amount on the open market. This reduction in the number of shares available on the open market would provide a small upside to the share price. Many companies do "buy-backs".
In conjunction, IMSC could then prepare a ( restricted quantity) special stock offering of one share plus a warrant for another share maturing at a future date (one year, two year) The offering price would be based upon its future potential value, thus providing some additional working capital to IMSC in the near term.
For example only, think of two dollars for the one and one. IMSC sells a 70 cent share plus the warrant for one share ( combined value $ 1.40) for two dollars . If at maturity IMSC shares are at $ 1.50 , both shares worth $3.00, the buyer has gained 33% while IMSC makes some operating cash early in the process , WIN.. WIN.. A price of 1.50 is nearly a "given". I believe you can fight fire with fire, or water with water....also Share Value with Share Value.
Maybe this has been already discussed. I try, but I can't read all the posts
I am far from an expert on these kinds of things. I do hope the sharper minds on this board can analyse this idea and shape a beneficial and workable suggestion to the benefit to all concerned.
Long on IMSC
Does "Going Private" enter into the realm of possibilities here????.....No...Yes...or Maybe??? Your thoughts please.
Some years ago I worked for a company that went on an aquisition binge , then went private for a few years, then went public again.
All this buff-stuff and musical chairs set me off on a musical memory search....what was that song? Something about "You got to accentuate the negative....eliminate the positive .....Don't mess with mister in-between". Nah ! that can't be the way it goes.
Chances are that six months from now you will be hoping it gets back to two dollars to buy more.....The big events are coming soon. I'm averaging up.
The IMSC dialog reminds me of an old fashion western movie. The stagecoach carrying the gold payroll is running full tilt. A lot of energy charging forward. The driver has his hands full, but he is in control. He needs to hurdle a buffalo 'wailler' He'll make it. But wait. The wheels seem to be turning backward. We know to ignore the phenomenom. We have seen it before. We know it's an optical illusion. We know to watch the stagecoach and not heed he back turning wheels. The gold will be delivered.
Hello !.....is anybody home?
can you ask regarding "production parameters'. Any compltete and ready units on the shelf for quick delivery. Or, units built when ordered; production timefrom p.o. to out-the-door, etc.
Does the company have, or could they prepare a sales brochure describing the product's particular use:
The brochure could be made available to investors who would like to forward it ( or copies thereof ) to entities in their local area...like mayors, police chiefs, sports venue operators, public events, city functions, festivals, etc. The list is endless. Having something in hand in hard copy could be very effective.
Investors are familiar with the needs within their area. A grass roots kind of a promotional assist to getting the word out.
This may result in onesey/twoseys, but the bigger value is promotional awareness.
Make that.... Bye Bye shorts.....Buy Buy longs.
Bte Bye shorts....Buy Buy longs.
RE: Eco I Lights:
Costco was very helpful in tracking these down for me.
If someone can ask them for the stock item numbers of both new and old versions(while they last),it would be helpful to all. This is very easily done on their handy computers. I found their information about availability very accurate.
Costco folks are courteous and responsive people.
Whoever has these numbers please send them to us all.
Thanks.
Eco lights ARE in Costco..I bought four last Christmas as gifts, all recipients very impressed, as I was.
I recently found Costco stores ( Chicago suburbs) were out of stock and NOT re-ordering more.( of that model). But I dug deeper. There seems to be more to this. The Costco store in Naperville, IL had a supply of a NEW model.( $24)....just a bit smaller, but otherwise identical.I bought two.
I had one of the managers look up the availability of the old model at other area stores. All had zero inventory except one too far away for me. I asked him to check the Aurora, Colorado store as I would soon be there. They had an inventory of 128...but none of the new models. These old models were marked down to $17+. I bought 10 more.
Check out Costco for what remains of the "old model" at $17...or the new model at $24. They are out there! Let us hear what you find.
An advertising guru once said "Fifty percent of all advertising is wasted.......but which Fifty Percent?".
