Nice Pre-Market bounce to $2.00. Somebody knows something. Hope it holds and climbs.
KNJS, I guess the house in Zug has him strapped for cash. Unbelievable.
CBB, he evidently had a really low bar set. Of course that's not what we have been hearing from him in the very limited communications he has sent out. Two ER's ago he again set the bar lower which in turn caused the SP to crash from $4+ to just over a dollar where it languished until Denner made his intentions known.
Go BLUE, and For, For, For.
Michael, there are some mail-in votes but I agree it should not take a week. I don't know the process for counting the mail-in proxies. It would be interesting to see how that happens and I assume that is conducted prior to the meeting since it's not a 'mailed by' the 21st as they have to be physically received by that date.
I don't want to jinx us, but I have to say I am surprised that Amarin has not put out a rebuttal to Sarrisa's today's announcement of 'the last day to vote'. Maybe they know they have lost the battle on the proxy vote. I sure hope so.
RobinF, the Proxyvote.com states that voting will conclude at 11:59 PM on 2/21/23. I don't recall the time zone that references.
DTG, I agree. We should all be bombarding their IR Inbox with our displeasure of their unnacceptable behavior.
Of course a massive BLUE Proxy For change should accomplish that.
RQ, I think it was the BCBS FEP (Federal Emplpoyees) that may have been dropped where private coverage is still available.
raf, as always, thanks for all you do in providing the script numbers as well as the ongoing support for insurance claims for V, Twitter notes, etc. I certainly appreciate it.
Bolio99, refer to CaptBeer's chart on post 403479.
Sorry I'm late in my response. Catching up on posts.
Bolio98, Raf provided the numbers to CaptBeer who then posted them on his amazing chart. The number was a little over 60K for the prior week. Up from ~ 57K.
oneragman, yes, based on a prior email I think $49M is after the 40% reduction. Can you imagine a $68.8MM salary and stock on an annual basis?
Crazy. I'd have to do some research but Steve Jobs never made that on an annual basis. He had it in stock but that is from a founders perspective which is different than someone takiing over the reins as CEO.
shadalone, I agree, but let's put it into real perspective based on market cap. AAPL market cap is 2.41T or, 3,243 times that of AMRN. Given KM's salary of ~$5.8MM, if it were on AAPL's scale he would make over $18B / yr. YES, he's overpaid for not turning a profit. Eating up profits with high salaries, stocks and wasteful spending in an attempt to reject shareholders and Sarrisa.
So, based on AMRN's scale, Tim Cook is way underpaid.
BTW, they are both overpaid.
Jas, sorry, but it was gone before you remembered you left it. And that's on most corners in any city, US.
Raf, I'll go with 71%
RobinF, I wouldn't think so. If you quit, I wouldn't think he would retain his stock and it would not automatically vest to his benefit. He would just have a different boss. JMO
Monk44, and how would they know if the email went to your Junk Mail? They wouldn't. Just another attempt on the white card vote.
antibluechip, this is a message for anyone that has knowledge of their (DRL) actual patent and what they can say on the label. The GV is for those patients with trigs >500. And it is not for the 135 / 499 trig levels like Vascepa was approved. Of course they are all infringing through the skinny label, however, can they state that it is to reduce the risk of heart attacks, stroke, etc?
Sorry, already addressed by others I see as I catch up on the posts.
Capt. Too funny!
Pharmacydude, I have respected your input on this MB for quite some time. Actually too long as many long term longs would love to have sold their positions at a much higher number than we are at today and moved on. But I like many today certainly have a high level of frustration with managment and the board and are tired of the status and are voting for change. That's me. I don't have another 10 years to drag this on in hopes that some miracle occurs in the Amarin GIA strategy. You have to play the hand you're dealt and management has not been successful at that. So, I'm all BLUE.
TTE, I'm not sure if it was strictly a reallocation to the various Sarrisa groups, but I think nothing was sold. Someone said it was a tax loss sale, but of course if that did occur, the buy-back within 30 days so it would have been a wash sale correct? So to me that doesn't seem plausible. JMO
tke, reminds me of another senile old fart in a 'high position' here in the US.
shadolane, yes and that is easily viewed when looking at the ratio of 42X what KM is paid versus the average Amarin employee. I'm thinking the janitor could have matched the success (lack thereof).
north, I do not know anything about these type proceedings, but it does look odd to me that Magistrate Singh appears to have removed himself from the case and assigned Magistrate Bongiovanni. I would think you could recuse yourself (strange after the amount of time that has passed), but that you can assign someone else just seems odd to me. It would seem another (higher) judge would make the new assignment. JMHO
abka, I agree. But as they stated on their webcast earlier this week, 'we have to pay these exorbitant salary and free stock to attract the high level talent'. I'm generally a believer in the adage, 'You get what you pay for', but this is one of the instances where we did not.
I'd be laughing at this but I can't stop crying at their chicanery. Well, I'm mad as hell and for sure am not going to take it any longer. Vote BLUE!
hayward, I think KM took the reins on August 1 of 2021. SP was $5.44 at that time and then dropped and maintained around $4 until his BS negative ER and the stock dropped to the low $1.00-$1.15 level and held there until AD announced his position. They need a strong board, strong and active COB and a CEO for US and another for EU to focus on gaining market share.
p-dude, but again to the many points shareholders have against Amarin, THEY DID NOT COMMUNICATE. And we all know, chances of being heard in the SC is really slim. They should have been fighting with every ounce of their being way prior to that. We needed 'standing' and the courts neglected our pleas as Amarin sat quietly on the sidelines.
Pdude, I have a disdain and very little faith in Amarin management to successfully run this company. From my position since late 2018, management and the board have done little to protect it's position in the market. I understand the CEO and much of the board is refreshed, however until Sarrisa stepped in, they did not communicate or care about the shareholders in their actions. They did not support marjac and the EPADI which would have made a big difference in the eyes of the court which would have possibly given us our US market. Maybe you have a communication link directly to them but certainly they do not have the same to their shareholders and for that reason, I have voted BLUE. We shall soon see where this shakes out.
I think in an earlier communication from Denner, he will leave the management in place for a while. His focus will be on the direction and urgency of getting the right things done.
maybe some good news?
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/amarin-amrn-forms-hammer-chart-145502743.htme
Let's put the hammer down and get some positive action on the stock.
What does FFS say about this?
skipper, you may well be right as we certainly have not seen a script boost even if the settlement became effective Febr. 1.
rmb, I posted the email received from Amarin IR last week. They briefly responded to the HN settlement but of course no details. BTW, they had received prior emails that they didn't feel the need to respond.
'Thank you for your email. This is the first email that has been received from you. If you have sent others, they were not received. We have been working on improving ways to engage with our shareholders. And we understand your frustration. Amarin has faced significant challenges, which was largely due to the launch of generic competition in the US. And many shareholders like you have suffered. The team recognized that a strategic pivot was needed, and over the last 12-18 months the company has taken many actions to ensure a new, profitable and sustainable path forward for Amarin. In 2023, we will continue to focus on profitability, opportunities to accelerate revenues in key European markets where we have launched, and advance pricing negotiations in key European markets.
Specific to some of your questions, while I understand not having the details of the settlement is frustrating, the company has benefitted positively from the Healthnet settlement. We are not able to provide details publicly as the terms are required to remain confidential. This Board will not hesitate to do the right thing to create shareholder value. Amarin’s directors have a vested interest in the Company and are directly aligned with shareholder interests to maximize value.
If you have any other questions please let us know. '
Raf, I don't have a Twitter account. Maybe I should but I was Sarrisa and am still Sarrisa 100%. I'm tired of these theiving B'tards at Amarin not producing anything of value.
hayward, as you know, that is such a BS answer. But part of it is true in that they still get their free shares and oh, it is so difficult to purchase on the open market. Everytime they communicate via voice or written I lose any respect for them (never really had any as that is earned and they haven't) and increase my contempt for them.
skipper, old PWO is painting the picture that the US market is gone and Denner does not have knowledge of EU which is the future growth, so, he can't help. But Amarin can??? So far, no, they can't. Pathetic!
They are feeling BLUE.
I don't have a year. I'm done. Four years of total failure leading up to DU and since. I know he has only been COB for a year or so but still no effective leadership and it starts with him.
zmanindc, Amarin is grasping for anything that they think may help them. If anyone were not paying attention they could vote the white card which would override any prior vote. And since they can't see your Blue vote they are hoping you will use the new White card.
I don't know, but I have never seen where a company has sent out so many proxies. Seems like desperation to me. We'll soon see!
GL BLUE.
RMB, we need to all send Glass Lewis emails responding to the piece put out regarding Amarin and Sarrisa and let them know how they did not follow their own governance and guidelines when they wrote that article. So many areas contradicting their mission statement.
Capt, but I plan on listening to the SVB investor call at 9:40 CST. Maybe something positive will come out during that presentation. It won't change my vote to white regardless of what they say.
Brb, yeah, I'm thinking about drilling a tooth with my Ryobi drill. I'm curious like everyone what shenanigans they come up with to attemp to save face and gain votes but my dye is cast and it is a really nice shade of blue.
