Capt, love it. Now they're squealing like the pig under the gate. Much too little and much too late. It will be an interesting web call tomorrow morning to see what conciliatory tones they take.
rmb you know the one thing that large corporations do in negotiations is to say you give me really good price and you can use my purchases to help you lower your costs thus making you more profitable with the all of your customers. I just don't know if Germany has that much purchasing power to help in that cost leveraging to be beneficial. Maybe somewhere in between but hopefully Denner can help
jas, you can see the numbers on the link Birdrockboy posted. 402424. For/Against/Abstentions total approximately 195MM of the total 405MM or 48% of total outstanding shares voted which is well over the 33% requirement.
rmb, I agree. Especially when it is your only product. Maybe if you had several drugs you were selling and you had to 'get them in your store' like grocery and retail stores do. But not a single item.
jas, the quorum level should be met as BRB shows on his attachment from the June 22 proxy there were approximately 195,000,000 total votes which is well above the 135,000,000 quorum percentage requirement. I would expect many more votes on this proxy and pray that BLUE os a resounding majority for Sarrisa.
TTE, well said. Un - fuking believable the amount of money these losers make on such a small and pretty much failed execution.
RMB, yes I checked and confirmed that I voted BLUE. I will of course check it again on the 21st.
THX
Chromosome, it sounds like you work for Amarin by the way you defend them. Thye've made mistakes but learned from them and are moving the ball forward. REALLY? Any patents will be over before we see sp gains as they move a step forward and a step backwards. Same place or worse than we were 18 months ago. Name a successful action that has resulted in end user or shareholder value.
I am glad you voted blue, but I do not agree with defending them. Their actions have shown that they are for themselves and not the shareholders.
Denner has them squealing like pigs at the thought of losing their personal ATM machine.
JMO. And, I think that of many on this site.
Nukem, will do. I printed copies of my four BLUE VOTES with 4 different brokers, but I will follow-up with them.
Can we go back to proxyvote and see anything on our votes? I would assume if you receive the message that you already voted that would be some confirmation. ?
TIA
Robin, I agree. From the information put out by the parties A & S, Amarin is costing us $7MM and Denner is spending $1.25M. So again, more wasted money by Amarin and I sure hope we get to tell them that on their way out the eff'n front door.
Received White Cards from Merrill and Edward Jones last night. Had received them at the beginning of the week when I contacted them and they sent me the Blue Card which I voted. They certainly are pulling out all the stops to try and get votes. I am going to go back and look at the original control numbers and make sure they match by broker. I am one of those voter fraud theorists and don't trust Amarin.
Chemist2, that's great. Glad they were accomodating.
Go BLUE!
Chemist2, call Fidelity and tell them to provide you the BLUE proxy with the blue control #. That's what they told me earlier this week but mailing takes too long. I refused and requested my Blue proxy now and they finally got it to me that day. Then just go to proxyvote.com and place your Blue vote.
Woke up this morning to find three emails from 2:02 - 2:47 AM from Edward Jones, Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo. All had the same White vote card. I did not receive an email from Fidelity. However, I have already voted these four accounts on the Blue card control numbers I received earlier this week. Seems that Amarin is pulling out all the stops.
JRoon71, my call from Okapi came from 877-796-5274. Hope this helps.
occ, my caller was very pleasant but did not offer any additional information other than thanking me for the information and that she would pass the information along. In retrospect I should have been more inquisitive regarding how the calls / voting was going but I just assumed she wouldn't divulge any information. It certainly would be interesting to learn that there is another drug but they should have been having some high level discussions already to let people know. I know there are SEC rules and FDA regulations but they take tight lips to another extreme.
GLTA
Stockboy, I received a call from a nice lady from Okapi a few minutes ago asking if I received my White card and was I going to vote. I told her I already did and she asked the obligatory questions, can I ask you how you voted and I told her straight 99,000 votes BLUE. She asked why and I was nice but told her due to the failure of management and BOD. New CEO, same as the old CEO and a board refresh but same as the old board. No communications to shareholders and failure to execute any strategy. Communications only began after Alex Denner stepped up to looking for board representation to help the failing company. Mgt and BOD continuing to award themselves with RSU's and options while shareholders suffered tremendous losses. Go BLUE.
She thanked me and said she would share the information.
Exam, is that a fact or wishful speculation? Sure hope he is to lay out some of his plans.
Nuke, I'm not trying to put words in seve's mouth, but after reading it twice I took it as someone had a comment and he responded with a statement that now Amarin was trying to gaslight us. My initial reaction was same as yours.
Ram, per our conversations yesterday, I had the same exact issue along DTG. I finally got through to them after they twice gave me the white proxy. I had a call-back from Jamel in New Hampshire at 603-402-5045. If you call and reach him he knows how to get it done for the Brokerlink account Blue card.
GL
ggwpq, they are much like Amarin. They care about themselves first.
DTG. Congrats. I was going to send you a note. Glad you perserveered.
Call me crazy but $22.
DTG and Ramfan, yeah, you just have to fight through it and don't take no for their answer. They had to go back to their 'corporate' investment group several times before someone was able to secure the 'Blue Proxy' Control #. Sh-t, this stuff should be easier. But hey, for me, I'm finished and feel good about voting against the extremely poor management.
'Rage Against the Machine'
GLTA
DTG, Hallelujah, persistence pays off. The associate from Fidelity finally was able to provide me a Control # for the BLUE proxy card. Went to ProxyVote.com and for for Sarrisa. That completes my 99,000 votes on the Blue Proxy for Sarrisa.
They told me the delay was BroadRidge getting the proxies out and the should be sent by weeks end. (by mail). I told him that was Amarin's fault due to the delay in notifying of the record date until five days after the fact.
GL to you and all faithful Amarites.
They just put me on another hold 'working on it'. For clarity I have a BrokerLink account through Fidelity in a 401K so I don't know if that is causing some issues of ambiguity on their part. I agree with Lizzy's post a few minutes ago about the most confusing proxy for all involved. However, stock price is rising so it appears to have gotten a lot of attention. I'm running out of posts so i'll save one for my response to you.
DTG, after being transferred they came back and said they have to call me back. They did and explained the the hold-up was Broadridge and that the Proxies were being sent out. I requested the control number to go ahead and vote and they provided me the same control number they provided me this morning which is for the White Card. I explained what was going on and that I wanted a Blue Proxy card as other brokerage firms had provided me that. They have me on hold again researching the situation. Stay tuned.
DTG, I am on hold w Fidelity at this time. I had called this morning and they gave me the Control # for the White Card. I am requesting the Control # for the Blue Proxy. I have voted my other shares at WF, EJ and ML but these last 35,000 will complete my 99,000 total. GL
Simple solution. Just vote the BLUE proxy FOR Sarrisa's recommendations.
Sent an email to WF this morning as I had not received the proxy card. Requested the Blue Card. Low and behold I just received an email from WF with my Control # and the BLUE proxy card and voted for the nine Sarrisa recommendations. Takes less than a minute when everything is there.
Okay, so that's 21,900 of my 99,000 votes. Working on Fid, ML and EJ. I can't tell you how good it feels to vote BLUE. Exhilarating rush to vote against Amarin failed leadership.
xsboost, thx. Yes I checked and it shows 'no proxy materials available at this time. We will notify you.................'
I'll have to call them.
JRoon71, I agree it is strange. I voiced my displeasure with Amarin's sneaky delays in the Record date and not getting information out. But while we work through our disenfranchised voting issues the stock is moving upward in anticipation of the Blue Wave!
xsb, I did earlier before calling them but will check again.
Fidelity. Okay, I rec'd my control # but not the Blue Proxy card. Said I could go to Proxyvote.com and vote but it only has the White Proxy. Fidelity told me they have not received the proxy cards from Amarin. So I will give it a little time and then call them back. I want to vote the Blue Card.
RMB, I hear you. Total BS that they receive the compensation they are granted and KM making $5.7MM with his awards. Shameful. Pay for Performance. Not something lower than mediocrity. We need the Blue wave to crash their little party.
Robin, nothing from WF at this time. Nor from Fid or EJ. I did receive an email from ML and tied to the White Card for voting. I emailed them requesting the Blue card. I will call all of them this morning.
Thx
Robin, thanks. I will look through my emails. GL
BRB, I posted this a few days ago. And as a note to the share amounts, that proxy stated that directors receive $360,000 in annual options and RSU values after their initial $540,000 when they become board members. But I could not find any details regarding vesting at 'change in control'.
Whal, in looking at the last Proxy (2022) under Director Compensation what I quickly read was that Directors receive their annual fee and then stock and options based on stock pricing set from the prior year (Dec 31, 2021) $3.37 as base (cost) for the options. Options vest 100% in one year where stock vests in three years. As per the question of 'do the ousted Directors still receive their stock / option awards, it only references what occurs under a 'change in control' which states that all options and stock vests immediately. Therefore I'm not sure what will occur when Denner wins seats and any current director is removed.
This can all be found on the Amarin site by finding last years Proxy / Compensation if anyone wants to dig more.
Wah! Wah! Way!. Crying now! Talk about TSR. The bumbling idiots at Amarin lost shareholders over 96%. $26 down to $1 and only became comunnicative when Denner called for a proxy vote.
Jas, yes but I don't see any PM trades on the nasdaq, com site.
