INDEFATIGABLE PROFITING!
Yes I know. That's what that article is doing. It's a soft bash. It has an appealing headline to lure you in and read it. But what it's really saying is "Don't hold your breath".
AA can save himself some state income tax when he finally sells all those AMC shares for billions of $$$
Mostly a FUD piece, designed to make it seem highly unlikely. And as always, ends with a redirect to whatever paid promo trash they want you to buy.
It helps Shitadel short-term. But they end up digging their hole deeper. Just end up paying higher prices down the road.
$AMC running in $35-$36 channel all day, since about 10:45 am, yet RSI steadily decreasing. Price holding up even though strength indicator on down trend.
That bodes well for us.
People are fine with going to the movies, demand is there. If anything, the problem is lack of supply. Production ground down last year due to restrictions/lockdowns. Many projects halted/delayed. Now there is lag as production ramps back up. Projects all competing for sound stages, editing rooms, production personnel, etc.
$AMC
The whole market is about psychological warfare. Maybe 10% of all tickers trade on fundamentals with traditional value pricing. Everything else is one huge shell game run by the tutes.
This Friday is 3rd Friday of the month. Generally more options interest on those weeks. CBOE just expanded the chains for AMC like 3 days in a row a few months ago as price and interest climbed quickly.
The tops are based on volume and interest and best prediction of where price could be. The weekly chains are only built out a few months ahead. After that you only get the monthly and quarterly ones. So those are still higher at $145. As they fill in the other weeklies, and price has retraced, they apparently decided not to build the new chains that high, yet.
More info here on plant patents if interested. May have been some updates to the code since that Monsanto case. Not sure.

My thoughts are that we all say yes, ready to sell at $70. Let the word spread on social media.
Then when they let it run that high we all say "Haha, charade you are! Still hodling!"
Tell that to Monsanto. You can patent a new variant. Then cross pollinate to wipe out the naturally occurring strains until yours is the only one left.
I souvlaki that motion. This whole thing has been a long drawn out PITA.
Maybe Google can pay off the new infrastructure bill. That'll learn 'em!
SUPERLATIVE WINNING!
It's not a spin. Someone else presented the numbers, they are what they are. You don't understand how they are calculated. I explained it for you out of the goodness of my heart.
Have a good evening.
Completely possible if you understand how it is calculated. Which it would seem you don't from your last sentence.
A share is considered a buy if the transaction occurs at a higher price than the previous transaction. It's a sell if it's lower than the previous. "Slapping the ask" or "dumping into the bid" has nothing to do with it.
What does matter is higher volume, as you pointed out, which means the bid/ask is jumping around a lot faster. And the fact that buyers are bargain hunting and sellers have more ammo. Sellers can be selling in smaller blocks than buyers and still push the price down. Especially when they are Algo traders and can stack ask and adjust prices faster because of program trading.
And clearly a reason not to approve any more shares. AA seemed pretty quick to point out conversion not possible with AS maxed out. You know that's the first thing he would use any sizeable increase for at this point.
Can't lose when you've been ahead the whole time!
TOATS McGOATS!
UNINHIBITED WINNING!!!!
UNDENIABLE WINNING!
Just the opposite.
The dumping is completely imaginary.
RELENTLESS WINNING
So much upside from here
Unbelievable buying opportunity
UNRIVALED WINNING!!
I am still up 300% even at these levels. Many are up 500% or more!!
INSATIABLE WINNING from any angle
UNIMAGINABLE WINNING
I hope he is
That's not surreal, it's spelled cereal dumping
Whole milk on Raisin Bran does it for me . . . Colossal Dumping!
Damn, and he's only up a million bucks right now. I'm sure he's holding for the gold.
Also don't forget, these aren't real current losses being reported. Current situation is much better than reported. Last year's operating losses are being carried forward to offset earnings this year. So current operating losses appear higher than they really are.
Is that where a margin call at the Royal Bank of Canada can cause a shitstorm in the U.S. stock market?
I wonder if $6.50 is the new .40
Yeah, I think I recall you talking about that a few months ago. That's why I was surprised you refer to people as fickle. If anything is the other way. People are starved for anything resembling entertainment. We're burned out paying theatre prices just to find out we've been suckered into paying to watch some sensitivity training video.
Sports and music industries are getting just as bad. But at least with AMC experimenting with branching out and expanding business model those industries should feel put on notice. Maybe they feel they can go direct release if theatres go under. But at some point they should figure out, if people don't want to see their product in a theatre they probably don't want to see it at all.
Don't think people are that fickle. Movies have just gotten crappier. Too many have become preachy and too PC with the messaging. The audience for any one release can be too narrow due to virtue signaling.
Theatres in general would do well to follow the AMC example of Livestream sports and concerts and anything else that draws interest. Decrease dependence on Hollywood and maybe they will get the message and churn out less garbage.
