It says purchase dates should be between 02/27/2014 and 11/05/2018 and the purchase price above $0.12/share and not sold prior to 12/14/2016. As long as you are meeting these criteria, you are good
Geez! You're a magnet to disappearing companies! How do you research?
Soooo complicated I just wonderIt should be till 2/4/2019.Isn't it?Mine didn't count till this period
Subject: Summary of Aegean Securities Class Action Allocation Plan
Hi all,
I know many of you are wondering what formula the liquidators used for computing the Recognized Loss Amount (RLA)?
Sharing here a quick summary of the “Individual Defendants Plan of Allocation” from AB Data (help@abdataclassaction.com) regarding the $11.95M Aegean settlement.
Key points for Aegean Common Stock claims: • You must have purchased shares between 02/27/2014 and 11/05/2018, with a purchase price above $0.12/share. • If sold before 12/14/2016, your Recognized Loss Amount (RLA) = $0. • If sold between 12/14/2016 and 06/11/2018, RLA is the lesser of: 1. Adjusted inflation formula, or 2. Purchase price – Sale price. • If sold between 11/07/2018 and 02/04/2019, RLA is the least of: 1. Inflation-adjusted purchase, 2. Purchase – Sale, or 3. Purchase – Avg. closing price (Table 2). • If held after 02/04/2019, RLA is the lesser of: 1. Inflation-adjusted purchase price, or 2. Purchase – $0.04. • If your market loss is negative, RLA = $0. • Shares held at the period end are valued at $0.12; if you bought below $0.12, RLA = $0. In other words, you should have paid at least $0.12 per share for your purchase.
I just checked my accounts and the last of my units were removed in April. I received less than $600 total, between 2 accounts, which was probably about 10% of my investment. Thanks to all who have stayed in touch and shared info. Wasn't the ending we hoped for, but at least it's over for me.
looks like we have reached the end?
any info
Guys the period dates for accepting shares in this litigation could be between Feb/27/2014 till Feb/4/2018.Isn't it?
Exactly It is kind of weird Can you give me a phone number for asking from lawyers who has responsibility indead?
No, I'm afraid I don't know the math on that one
It ls kind of weird! Can you please explain to me how they calculated 103K shares with 17cnts/shr is equal to this much!!
I found the solution, you can request a wire transfer
I have a problem as it seems banks in my country do not accept checks. What should I do?
That's probably correct. Or at least in line with what others have received. I had 35,800 shares and received a check for $356.99. If I recall correctly, the settlement amount isn't a straight consistent amount per share across the board. The formula was based on your actual loss. That's not to say more checks couldn't be coming in the future. But don't wait to cash this one. Only have 90 days to get it deposited before one of the attorney's claims it instead.
Please someone help me.I got a check with $384.31 for 103000 shares. Is that correct or I need to wait for next check or what?!!
Happy St Patrick's day!
Thank you for the information.
I just emailed them as well.
Still have not received a check
But as with this entire process.
I’m waiting patiently.
Thanks again
Happy Irish Day to all
I sent an email to info@ageansecuritiesletigation.com and they replied back. I attempted to call and left a message. I did not hear back so I emailed.
I probably wouldn't bother claiming the loss. For less than $500 write-off the difference in actual tax savings is probably not worth what an accountant would charge for the extra form in your filing.
Good golly.....I finally received my settlement in the mail as a check, for a whopping amount of $63.89......Originally invested $492.95 way back Feb 22 2018......This thing has remained as a qusip number only type listing, in a Fidelity Simple IRA account, which I have never taken any distributions from, since its inception.....I'm in retirement now, and may start taking small distributions from said account, over the next few years......I probably could claim this thing as a tax harvesting loss, by filling out the appropriate forms......I do remember receiving 1 or 2 nice dividends, before their chapter 11 type bye bye......I'm wondering if I should even investigate such a proposal, some year soon from now......It might even require some sort of "foreign equity" IRS type form to be filled out additionally......Fidelitys "quality" historical info only shows me when purchased, for how much, and number of shares......Lordy.......Do I just cash the check in my Truist bank account, and kind of not worry about the future of any further tax related consequences or implications......I do remember buying the thing long ago, based on the ridiculously high dividend yield......Lesson learned......Any words of wisdom appreciated........
Well good luck. I hope you get something close to that.
ETrade took away 21000 units from my main account. But still have 14000 in Roth account. Just gonna let them sit and hope for something else to play out on this. I still have plenty of carryover loss from bad choices. Don't need to write these off yet lol
Good to know
Thank you.
It was regular mail.
If it actually was .17 cents per share
That would give me just over $20k
I would certainly be happy about that.
I’m glad you got your check today.
I still haven’t received mine.
Did it come just regular mail (USPS) or
Was is sent Fedex or UPS??
Just got mine today for $356.99. Unfortunately, the accompanying letter is generic and doesn't give any breakdown or at least explain how many shares these account for. Etrade already gave me $208 for the 21800 shares I had in one account. So maybe this check is for the 14000 shares I still have in the second one? I suspect the vast majority of my shares didn't qualify for anything as I bought them for pennies in February 2019 after the 11/5/18 BK declaration. Dividing $356.99 by 17 cents comes out almost exactly to 2100 shares. Which sounds about right for the amount of shares I had prior to the BK announcement.
Who did you talk to??
What number did you call??
The main number is a recorded message now
Previously were able to talk to someone.
That is awesome
Hopefully my check is on its way as well
I requested explanation and asked if they can double check my account in case there is an error. Here is what they told me: "All of your transactions were considered eligible. Your Recognized loss was $235,860.20, which when multiplied by the pro rata percentage as all eligible claims is the amount of your check (about 16K). In cases like this, there are two types of losses, Market Loss, and Recognized Loss. Market Loss is the general loss that anyone might encounter while trading on any stock exchange. Recognized Loss is calculated using the Court-Approved Plan(s) of Allocation and is not equal to Market. So far It is a terrible situation really.
I received my checks today. They are for the securities litigation
I haven’t received one either
But will post if/when I do
Good luck
No, haven't received a check. Will be watching for one and post here if it comes.
Seems as though some people on this board have received settlement checks In varying amounts.
I have not received a check at this point.
Have you received a settlement check from
Aegean??
Furthermore, this settlement is separate from the litigation trust proceedings. Would be interesting to know the status on that as well
As the bond holders are included 10 to 15 cents on the dollar seems reasonable based on the settlement amount, although it would be interesting to know how the allocation has been calculated
Thank you for the information
Did you get paid the full amount of
the settlement or are you expecting
a 2nd round of checks as previously
stated on the board here.
I got about 10 cents on the dollar. The issue is all the Bonds were thrown in the settlement, not just common stock. Those were 240-260Mish. I thought I would get closer to 15 cents/$. I do not expect another round of checks unless they win another lawsuit.
My Y00ESC# shows MISSING now on my
Schwab account. Not sure why.
Just don’t trust this entire process honestly.
I have called multiple times to confirm that
I am due to get paid. I’m on the list and they received my confirmation etc.
Hopefully everything is ok.
I did not receive anything today.
Any clue how they are making distributions??
What is the consensus on how much they paid
out??
For those who got a check Congratulations!!
Happy that we stuck through this process until the end when there was no end in sight.
Hopefully I will get a check soon.
Another post states $.17 cents per share
I would be ecstatic with that amount honestly.
Good luck to us all.
It is the first round of distributions. The question is how much will be distributed in the second/ final round
Also, Fidelity is showing Y00ESC015 94,300 shares at ave cost $1.44 per share and total $135,634. If I calculate this right, we are getting 17 cents per share ?
How can this be right. I bought all my shares before 11/15/18 (bought on 10/9/18) at total cost of $135.6 K, My settlement check is $16.238, Does this make sense?
In line expectations?
I received my settlement checks today, check your mail!
I'm not part of any class action between Bleacher Report and Facebook that I'm aware of. And even if I was there is no reason that would just spontaneously transact through my brokerage account. Whatever it was has to be related to ANW
FYI
A "class action BR settlement" refers to a settlement reached in a class action lawsuit against a company named "BR" (likely short for "Bleacher Report"), where a group of individuals who were affected by a particular issue can collectively sue the company and receive a portion of the settlement funds if they qualify as part of the "class" affected by the alleged wrongdoing; in the case of Bleacher Report, a recent class action settlement involved claims about the company sharing user data with Facebook without proper consent, violating privacy laws.
I hadn't checked in quite awhile I guess. On Oct 21 I just discovered I received $208.84 for CLASS ACTION BR SETTLEMENT. And ETrade charged me $12.53 for that privilege. Then a few days ago on 2/18 Etrade took all 21,800 shares out of my account.
I still have 14000 shares in my Roth account that didn't receive any payment and haven't been removed yet.
my chucky schwab still says
NO NUMBER
AEGEAN MARINE PETR OXXXESCROW PEND POSSIBLE FUT
I spoke with my broker this afternoon. They have been told there is no longer a transfer agent available for the cusip. It will be removed from my account and is now considered a non-transferable security. I have a feeling I'm screwed myself but hopefully this the rest of you are finally near a good resolution.
