HEY DEERBALLS, can you please explain to everyone how this recent news is good for shareholders. You said that it brought in more "eyeballs" but unfortunately those eyes view it as negative as indicated by the current share price. IMO, we may be lucky to hold one cent and without additional news which discloses money to Voip pal that helps with the massive dilution then we will likely stay sub two cents for a long time. You are a pumper plain and simple and in my eight years plus here I have never seen you right on any of your predictions/surprises. Just be honest, you were compensated by the company to get new investors and keep them engaged despite the hardship and losses that most shareholders have incurred. Chew on that for awhile one post wonder. P.S- You renewed our feud when you singled me out by name on Stocktwits. Have a good day and good luck explaining to Frio, Arizona et al how this is all going to work out. the prophet
Excellent post V, you should send a copy to Emil. the prophet
Ever since the Verizon and Tmus trials have been cancelled Rich has been pacifying investors by saying they have been working on something for several months which will make the cancelled trials moot. Certainly, this latest news does not satisfy this claim. Like most, I was looking for a sale of the European/India patents which would have satisfied Rich's claim but this latest news does nothing and may even result in the share price going down further. As a long time Voip -pal shareholder this latest news does nothing for me. We are looking at more time, more dilution and nothing immediately tangible for investors. I guess that is why I did not get a letter from Rich on this subject. Had they released the expected news on the India patent sales I would be much happier. Another sad day in Voip palville. the prophet
Well it appears I was wrong about Hudnell. I thought he was a "super lawyer" but after the debacle at the pretrial hearing where the patent friendly Judge issued a Summary Judgement against us for lack of infringement I can only say, he is far from being a super lawyer. I still don't even understand how our case had gotten this far without demonstrating infringement. Two years of litigation in Waco with Markman Hearings, Discovery et al and one month before trial the Judge rules a Summary Judgement in favor of defendants? Did Hudnell not see this coming? Did he not put in the necessary work to refute defendants claims? After two decades of work getting to this stage how in the world did this happen. Inquiring minds would like to know. I also wonder how many times this has happened before. I would bet, without research, that patent noninfringement ruled in defendants favor at a pretrial hearing may never have happened before, it is so absurd. If there is no buyout and we must proceed in filing new patent cases against infringers how can we have any confidence in this legal team with Hudnell at the helm? After this embarrassment Hudnell should remove any and all positive references involving Voip-pal from his resume. We can only hope that someone other than Hudnell is leading discussions that are allegedly ongoing. the prophet
Ignore Rapz at you own risk. Rapz is Not a pumper. He only posts when he has something to say. He has a couple of patents of his own that he has taken through the process. He is the smartest guy in the room so when he says something you better read it twice and listen. All my intel and reading of the tea leaves is leading me to the same conclusion. the prophet
Ham, the problem here is this is a news driven stock with no news thus the stagnant to decline stock price movement. For years we have been told just wait until the trials when we can prove infringement in trial. Then without warning all scheduled trials are canceled and the company can not even issue a press release..we are seeing the result of that lack of communication. Some blame Emil but I believe Hudnell is the real culprit, its pathetic for a publically traded company. the prophet
Only Voip-pal! How can a company have a day like Friday with false news and the two trials we were expecting canceled and then have no PR from the company Monday morning? Shareholders continue to get no respect from management. the prophet
I was hoping for more after hours discourse but I guess everyone is exhausted from todays news and false news. This too will pass. Have a great weekend, the prophet
Remember too that the defendants can settle without admitting infringement. the prophet
Chazzy, interesting take but I would guess that Albright, having a reputation for achieving settlements, is encouraging parties to work on a settlement. To this end I would be very surprised if Hudnell did not have a plan B should the pretrial hearing did not go as planned and may have had a proposed settlement framework already assembled. the prophet
Little known fact: If companies settle before trial they are not obligated to reveal the details of the settlement. If they settle after a jury is selected then parties MUST disclose the details of the settlement. Obviously, if settlements occur now that the trials have been canceled we are unlikely to hear about any of the details (Similar to last Summer) the prophet
I don't know why some are so surprised with the cancellation of these two trials. I predicted it a week or so ago. Go back and read that post to see what I think may happen next. the prophet
There were motions that were supposed to be addressed at the pretrial hearing that could have possibly delayed the August 19th trial. How hard would it have been for the company to either confirm that the trial was on as scheduled or was being delayed? Certainly if they announced the trial was still on for the 19th the stock would have reacted positively but instead they said nothing or by not saying anything they are in essence admitting that it is in limbo. I told you the other day what my thoughts were on the subject. It is such a darn shame that shareholders are continually kept in the dark on information that could dramatically effect their investment. If anyone is fortunate enough to get hold of Rich ask him if we are still on for the August 19th trial and he will probably respond with something like "tentatively " or "at the current time". Don't just assume that because it is still on Albright's schedule that the trial is still on. Voip pal does not want to reveal their strategy and likely will wait as long as they can. the prophet
The end game is near!! I have not posted for awhile but that does not mean I stopped beating the bushes for information that might give me a clue as to where we are headed. First, there will be no trials IMO. I am expecting settlements with Verizon and Tmus similar to the ones the company completed last year with various other defendants. There will be little or no money exchanged with these settlements IMO. I know what you are saying, "how is that possible Prophet?' One only look at Tmus recent filing on July 8th regarding VPLM's new expert witnesses. There were three new experts listed but Tmus singled out Brida for his method at arriving at damages of 133 million which is a far cry from what we were being told by the company of 2-3 billion. That small amount of damages if even awarded thru trial would not even move the needle on the share price not to mention the amount of time and money the company would have to expend while waiting for the defendants to exhaust all appeals. So I am expecting settlements sometime between now and August 19th with no or little money and NDAs attached. Sounds pretty depressing doesn't it but don't fear. For Emil it has always been about selling the company. He is in his early seventies and wants this over as bad as we do. In addition it is the only way for him to sell his billions of shares. So without big money from current defendants how does it get done? I believe (I have no insider information on this) that all these NDA settlements have something in them which would make them attractive to a potential buyer like licensing agreements which would give the acquirer an immediate revenue stream. I also believe that Amazon could be that potential buyer. It is too strange that there has not been a filing by Amazon since early February of this year in Albrights Court nor has Albright established a Court date for this litigation. Amazon has deep pockets, wants to get in the telecom business and could really use VPLM's European and India patents. Lastly, on every ones mind is how much would we receive per share. I think it will be less than what it would have been had we received a couple of billion from each defendant but again that is not going to happen. A couple of things going forward in our favor is Amazon or the potential acquirer is probably buying as many shares on the open market at these levels ( I asked Emil if defendants were allowed to buy our stock and he said without hesitation, Yes! Second, if the offering price seems too low, Emil can always give back some shares to bring that number up (ie less shares the higher the price). In Summary, after waiting all this time for these two trials in hopes of winning and seeing a nice bump in the pps, it just ain't going to happen IMO. But remember Emil wants out and I believe he has been orchestrating it for the last couple of years with NDA's and the addition of key advisors and that it happens this year. The aforementioned theory was established with critical thinking and evaluating the limited information available to shareholders. Don't shoot the messenger. the prophet
Well good luck and so long. I have been informed by insiders and outsiders that my posts are detrimental to the companies efforts. As I have quite a bit of money at stake with this stock I felt it better to excuse myself from this forum. If and when we get some real positive news I may return assuming I am still alive. Best to all VPLM shareholders, the prophet
Quick, someone start some more rumors/speculation about an imminent positive surprise before the stock goes below .014. Where is Deerballs when you need him we are running out of buyers. the prophet
Well we appear to have lost our number one fan/pumper. It appears that DB is no longer posting on Stocktwits. What makes it even more peculiar is that all his handles, PM's and posts have been deleted. The real question is did he do this on his own or was he forced to. I had heard that TMobile was interested in his posts so maybe that was the impetus for deleting. Regardless, it just won't be the same without a DB prediction even if they never come true. the prophet
Frio, I would love to tell you because I think shareholders should know but the information is so disconcerting and negatively implicates an individual that I also do not want to "out". Don't worry however because I do not think it will have an impact on anything currently going on. the prophet
Well another month gone by and still no straight forward news from the company. Many have been enthused that some positive news may be imminent and it is not just Deerballs. Where does this enthusiasm come from? Is it totally speculation or has something leaked? Well I know and I am not happy about it. I will not out the source or how I know but know this is not speculation but fact. If anyone knew what I do you too would be appalled. Why can't the company be honest and forthcoming about where we are in the process. The last legal update was on July 11,2023 almost nine months ago, totally unacceptable that shareholders are treated in this manner IMO. I have really tried not to post my feelings here but right now I am really pissed. Was hoping for sooner but now expecting later. T-Mobile trial November, Huawai next May,no word on Amazon...are you kidding me!!! the prophet
I find our continued case against Huawei very interesting. We dismissed all these cases against numerous defendants last year except Huawei. Since they are not one of the bigger infringers or so I have heard, why are we continuing to pursue litigation against this company? It seems to fall into the thesis that Rapz presented the other day. Certainly if any of the remaining defendants had any interest in buying Voip pal it would make more sense that they would want to continue litigation against a foreign telecom/technology company like Huawei. Why else would they want to kick this can so far down the road. I really think Rapz has a good view on the present situation. I too think something is afoot, I just have a shorter timeframe and believe something very positive will happen before the end of this year and what I am hearing maybe as early as the pretrial hearings with Verizon and T-Mobile on July 9th. After the years of waiting and much disappointment we are definitely due for some share appreciation good news. the prophet
Butter, thanks for that excellent balanced opinion. You are definitely correct that the lack of communication from the company on so many issues has created an environment for speculation that is not always good for the stock or potential buyers who remain on the sideline. the prophet
Yes, and half the volume is from insiders selling and buyers only show up when the pps trades in the .015s . Lets hope the buyers are from a company that will ultimately buy us out. the prophet
Hayday,, you should talk, you and your Carnac bullshit, you can kiss my arse. I would be willing to bet I own more shares than you do now. I post how something impacts me, I don't post bullshit just because I think it is what people want to hear. HD, just like DB you post crap that gives investors false hope which is more detrimental than anything I could post. Take a hike, the prophet
V, it is not that simple. Insider selling at these levels creates a negative optic. People see the selling and say to themselves if insiders are selling there must not be any positive news coming so why buy. Further, these insider sales are being done indiscriminately ie at any price which indicates a certain desperation which does not embolden buyers. In addition, since their shares were purchased at .005 they can make good money selling at these paltry prices. Don't you think that individuals who purchased restricted shares at the same price would like to sell some to make a profit or rebuy additional restricted shares? And the reason they don't is because the company has made the process for unrestricting shares so meticulous and cumbersome that most people do not do it. As I have said before, Emil takes good care of his employees, shareholders not so much, the prophet
Let me add my Debbie Downer take on this mornings news release. First, after waiting months for some positive news from the company this is what we get? Given we have been in Waco for over a year I would have thought these individuals would have already been on board in helping us reach a settlement, particularly Mr. Leon. We have been given the impression that we have been in settlement talks for a long time now and yet we are just now adding Mr. Leon. This addition would seem to indicate that negotiations are now just starting and nothing is imminent as many here would like to believe. Lastly, with insider trading being a real concern for shareholders (one only look at the current share price) it would have been responsible and transparent had they included the compensation for these individuals. Are they now going to have to raise the shelf from 8 Billion to 10 Billion? Disappointed, Frustrated and Demoralized. the prophet
So says the voice of doom lol the prophet
Thanks AZ and others who responded to my earlier post. I am not overly concerned over the recent Bill Parish news but wish like hell that the company would give us periodic updates on things like this to avoid unnecessary speculation. The last legal update was provided on July 11 2023 which is going on eight months since the last update. That is no way to treat shareholders, many of which have been holding shares for years. the prophet
So who is going to address the elephant in the room? DB posted on Stocktwits that Bill Parish has withdrawn from the T-Mobile case and I have confirmed this from other sources. So the question is, is this positive or negative news? DB is claiming it is positive but does not provide a rational. I would like to see some of the informed posters weigh in on this news. tia the prophet
Low volume, low price get used to it. Well the pumpers are out earlier than usual this year predicting "positives on many fronts". Where I am "hopeful" that later this year we get a settlement or buyout my "realist pessimist" view in the short term is bleak. The Vplm story has been out there for over a decade and I believe that most people that believe have already taken a position, mostly below two cents. Those that wanted more leverage have bought the .005 shares directly from the company. The result, there is very little interest from old and new buyers. You couple this with the daily insider trading and you have a stock trading under two cents with low volume which I think will continue until the next significant news which I predict is still months away despite what some may say. Ironically, I once asked Emil why he did not talk to various media outlets to get our story out including maybe Motley Fool who had a small position at the time and Emil simply said " No one wants to talk to us". Talk about shutting it down without even trying..Great work Emil. So given the aforementioned I will stop posting until a) we move above three cents or b) we get significant news from the company. Just hope I live long enough to enjoy the spoils from this nightmare journey called Voip-pal. the prophet
Butter, I totally agree. This is the best news I have heard in a long time. He has been with the company for awhile, probably on a retainer basis. Now that things are moving towards some sort of deal his involvement requires a filing with the Court. Very Good News for US. the prophet
FD, thanks for the laugh. I have never read anything that ridiculous. Can you decipher the code for me, I don't want to send him mixed messages. LMAO
HD, you have a lot of gall calling out any shareholder that posts here. You and your alter ego Carnac, have been calling for huge events for the last couple of years that never ever come, not even once. Like DB, you are a pumper plain and simple and have negatively impacted those that believed that you actually knew something. Put your pom poms away and send Carnac back to where ever you found him. the prophet
If this is the only near term news we get I don't think we will see any appreciation in the share price as eight months away from trial is not going to excite most people. If Emil was smart he would issue a PR this week not just with the Verizon news but a legal update on the current proceedings involving T-Mobile and Amazon. Absent a closer catalyst and with insiders selling at any price I don't see much chance of a pps appreciation anytime soon. Can you say, "same shit just another day". the prophet
Butter, good post and thankyou for providing the recent history. So I am curious what do you think this scheduled Verizon trial date in November does to the current share price ie will it be perceived as good or bad news. One of my major concerns is that the trial is eight months away and I am afraid with continued insider sales and a lack of a more near term catalyst that the ppl flounders in the two cent range for many months until we get closer to November. the prophet
I just hope someone does not file a class action lawsuit against the company. No wonder insiders have been selling and if it can be proven that they had information regarding this late in the year trial date that would constitute illegal insider trading in my opinion but I am not an attorney. I really hope I am wrong but unless Voip pal has some other positive news I expect the share price to stay muted until we get much closer to a trial date. We have been waiting all this time for a valid trial date and we get one the later part of this year...F--king Happy New Year and shareholders get screwed once again. the prophet
Sorry optimists, I find this new trial date very depressing. For one, what has been going on the last six months since the last trials were canceled? Were they working on a settlement and just couldn't reach an agreement? Where I was hoping we would have trial dates within the first six months of the year we are now in August with T-Mobile and Amazon likely to be later in the year. Meanwhile, with insiders continuing to sell and with the first trial date eight months away it is more than likely that we continue to flounder below two cents for many months to come unless there is a new better catalyst. Lastly, when will the company give us a legal update including but not limited to all defendants cases status? Albright sure is not living up to his name " Rocket Docket". the prophet
Spyke, you raise a couple of points which I think bear highlighting. First, there are several ways Emil could address shareholders and alleviate their concerns. He could have done it at the time he was sued and certainly before the end of last year but he is arrogant and does not feel this degree of obligation to shareholders. Frankly his arrogance and narcistic character have been highlighted throughout his career and is very troubling.. We could wake up one morning to find he is being investigated by the SEC or another regulatory agency for fraud or security violations. That would be a death knell for Voip pal and all shareholders. Transparency is the other area that needs to be drastically improved but he won't because he looks at it as his company not shareholders. There are many examples but one of the most glaring is the recent change in insider warrant purchase amounts. They were originally given at a cost of .025 per share but have been reduced substantially to the .005 level ( IMO this new prices should have come in the form of restricted shares as are the ones sold to investors). Why was this done at this time and why did he do it to the detriment of shareholders resulting in a share price below two cents? Yes there are a lot of problems here which could be mitigated had he just cared about shareholders enough to be more forthright and transparent. But Emil wont change his stripes and we are left hoping that Emils greed and bulldog character will get us to the finish line regardless of how unpleasant the journey has become, the prophet
New year and the same old shit, insiders continuing to sell and the pps drifting below two cents. As most here expected there were no "surprises" last year as DB and Carnac proved once again they know nothing about what is going on behind the scenes. The question becomes when will the company provide a legal update to shareholders...the last official update was on July 11th 2023 almost six months ago. Going six months without a company update is inexcusable and irresponsible and should never happen. Please don't tell me Emil cares about shareholders....He cares about himself and his inner circle and we are simply along for the ride plain and simple. Unhappy New Year, the prophet
HD, I know what you are hoping for with the lack of communication from the company ie that they are working on a settlement/buyout but every time I have anticipated something positive it never and I mean never happens. I actually would feel better if Albright were to reschedule the trials then we would have a date that these infringers would have to get a deal done by and without it we are left to speculate. the prophet
Those still hoping for Vplm news this year will be sadly disappointed, again. If no news tomorrow it is unlikely there will be any over the long Holiday weekend. Like the call for numerous "surprises" this year, the year will end with no feedback from Emil once again. Did you really expect anything different? Just the end of another disappointing year in which there have been many. the prophet
