amen, brother - well said
I sold them all; that's why I'm not visiting this board very often ... you preach a lot and say how great this stock is, you must be heavily invested. I just figured I'd ask, but you were rude like usual.
Anyhow - like I said - your inability to respond with a simple number gives me a pretty good idea.
Ciao
thought so, thank you
Fl, how many shares of savi media group do you own?
1. I'm no longer holding.
2. I addressed this one ... if the DynoValvePro costs $1,500 or so, a company would need to save a lot of tenths of a gallon of gas to make it profitable. Furthermore, mandates/compliance/etc. all require legislative change and then executive action ... such change has serious economic impact and, thus, always includes grace periods, etc. Thus, it would be awhile before companies MUST have emissions reduced. Thus, it'd be a long time before the DynoValve was a mandatory purchase AND the extra time gives compeitition longer ... and SaVi hasn't been exactly speedy or efficient marketing/producing their product to begin with.
Be safe on your trip.
My concern is this:
If the device really doesn't improve fuel economy, then companies have no economic incentive to spend their capital on it ... As stated, a 0.3% improvement is inconsequential. That improvement could have been due to something wild like differences in the fuel or minor temperature changes in the test environment. We're talking a 0.003 change!
So, the arugment then becomes, "Well, on OLD ENGINES it might be better". Sure, maybe old engines will have better results ... 1-percent fuel economy increase? 2-percent? 3-percent ... a 3% (0.03) improvment would be TEN TIMES better than this test reported in the latest PR. A company would have to do a lot of fuel burning to justify the [currently unknown] pricetag of the DynoValve, PLUS the installation costs, etc.
So... with clear problems to actual VOLUNTARY purchase of their product, SaVi seems to be putting it's eggs in the basket of regulatory change by state/national bodies - as some of the users on this board have suggested. New emissions standards suddenly make the DynoValvePro to pollution as penicillin was to bacteria? I don't see it. This IS a lucrative market, and the competition is out there ... SaVi sure hasn't been very good at getting the ball rolling ...
Again, without any economic incentive to buy, we're being told to keep our hopes up for governments to change policies that strictly tighten emission standards? We're being told to keep our hopes up for Cali and China to suddenly mandate these standards, and then SaVi will enjoy some sort of monopoly status? I just don't see it. History tells us both regulatory change and Savi Media Group will be slow to make such hopes real.
But I wish all the daring the best of luck. I'm putting this money in my other stocks that are trending much better with the hot market.
I again say that 0.3% improvement probably isn't even statistically significant ... thus, you cannot legitimately call it a reduction.
If I flip quarter a million times, the results will be 50% between heads and tails.
If I then yell "flsunchaser! flsunchaser! flsunchaser!" and the next 10 flips happen to produce tails 6 times (60%) and heads 4 times (40%), that is a 10% change over the original outcome ... but do you really think the yelling had any effect on the flipping? No.
Stick with the anti-pollution argument if you're trying to stave off insolvency fears.
to all who have PM'd me, I'm no longer a paying member, so thank you and good luck.
This was a lesson to me and, hopefully, to all those others that got robbed by this crock of a stock - always trust your instincts ... wish I had.
Thankfully, I only invested what I could lose ... I can get the couple of grand back. I smile knowing the management will never get its honor/respect back.
And, by the looks from their pictures, most of them will die early deaths due to heart attack, etc. ... keep working on those double chins, gang ... remember, the key is to burn more fat than you consume!
Peace.
Good luck to all the honest people in here, I know there are a few.
0.3% Fuel Economy! What FANTASTIC NEWS!
I'd be willing to bet the margin of error captures ZERO. Man, I'm sure all the trucking companies will be dying to spend $1000 for this one! Go SVMI! (Sorry, Past & Present)
Holy. Hell. This is for what we've been waiting?
More vague praise ... I guess we'll keep holding our breath.
"they are building this company into what I believe will be that will become a revenue producing company in the latter part of 2007"
"Under the circumstances, I feel things are progressing in the right direction." ????
"Many items still have to be resolved, and they are being addressed" truism?
I'm going to see if I can change my handle to LABOM after that idiot who came and went from this board.
$$ LABOM $$
Savi - Lose A Bunch Of Money!!!!
To the Moon!
Man, if only ...
SVMI had volume equal to the number of posts flsunchaser writes per day. It's quite impressive.
Yeah, all we learned is what we already knew ... this company hasn't made any money and has lost a lot of it. Merry Christmas.
That doesn't sound good.
DFW,
With all due respect, it's a masters in business administration ... If I'm going to be a true administrator/manager, then I need to refine my ability to pawn off my problems onto others under the pretense of delegation/empowerment.
Duh. :)
It appears "SaviCorp" and "Savi Corp" trademarks have also seen some December action. These two, along with the three others, have received the "TRAM Snapshot of App at Pub for Oppostn" update. Within two months they will be published for opposition.
What I don't understand about the trademark process is what happens during this "Published for Opposition" period ... some get a "Notice of Allowance" whereas the DynoValve Pro trademark got an actual Registration Certificate.
Is anyone familiar with the process? What's the difference? What are the implications? Thanks for any help!
Trademark Updates - 7-DEC-2006
TO HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE AND SEE THE VISION
DYNOVALVE
NOXECUTOR
Seem like positive updates from the TARR status, but the USPTO website seems to be having some updates made to it, so I can't get the exact details.
This is still the SVMI message board, yes? Just checking
Let's see what we have inside...
"Merry Christmas, suckers. A healthy lump of coal!"
FL DISCLAIMER: This message was a joke, not an attempt to insight a posting war; please do not be alarmed.
Great ... anyone else have any stories for the board?
this stock has been on fire lately, glad i bought in!
If there was something pending in which international investors might be interested, wouldn't SAVI be better off paying a translator the few hundred dollars it would require to translate their few pages of text? They would get a much, much better (and more credible) result.
It wouldn't take a native speaker but a few minutes, considering the site has very little written info. I'm sure you have all read web-based translations before; they are fair at best.
10-second change to the website ... inspiring progress
That last picture was so gross that I have to post this to equalize the board
Later,
Savi Videos:
I got the videos, and they play ... but YouTube doesn't seem to like them. I compressed them down using MovieMaker, so problem resolved. They've been posted ... youtube just has to chew on them and spit out a URL. Stand by.
I'll have the links to YouTube videos soon ... unfortunately, I can't embed them directly into I-Hub posts :( Get with the times, I-Hub!
I received 14 pictures and those three videos. The windows media thing was an invalid file. If you want, re-send the pics and I can put the news ones up.
The only ones I didn't post were the multiple shots of the SaviCorp sign.
Hey Blockman,
Here is the pic I missed:
As for the video, the format (asf) isn't very well-supported. I'm going to see what I can do right now. Three videos came through (Picture 023, Picture 024, and Picture 026)
Seems like a false rally ... this whole "jump" was due to a mere $50k in purchases ... something odd is up
I know they're already doing it; the sign outside their building kind of cleared that up ... I'm asking if anyone knows how a company with one name can kinda morph it?
I'm just curious, honestly ... I don't understand why they are registering "SaviCorp" as a trademark, they didnt' do that for "Savi Media Group". Maybe I'll just call on this one.
Sorry, Blockman ...
I had some school work that I had to take care of ... I'll PM you about the vids and getting them up.
In other news, this was recently added to the USPTO site for Savi's filings:
Nothing new to us at this point, but figured I'd let you all know.
P.S. Is anyone here versed in company registrations, etc. ... I still don't understand how "Savi Media Group, Inc." can call themselves "SaviCorp" ? Can someone break this down for me?
Nakamura Tome ... this must be an old one!!
Here is a shot of their recent stuff:
