LTHU gets some financing:
Interesting read, not sure if anyone has posted it yet. Maybe some interest in LTHU sparked with the test Sanswire test flight?

Low - question ??
Do you think GTE has pseudo-intentionally killed investor confidence and kept the pps low in order to keep themselves off the 'radar screen' until they are positioned to implement? That way it will be too late for the competitors to react without a massive premium on the share price for a buyout? Maybe internafta tried to drag them into the light? If we're trading above $5 in October, there might be some truth here.
Someone Please Help!
Is short selling considered a 'position' by MF's disclosure policy? There is a lot of talk about owning yada yada and selling yada yada. But, I didn't see anything relating to short sales. It seems they dance around the topic like the SEC does.
Anyone that has a Motley Fool membership or already knows the answer to my question, please help! TIA
From the Investor Q&A:
Q. Why has the Company not published pictures of the new Stratellite?
A. The stratellite and other projects at Sanswire and other divisions are developed in a very highly charged atmosphere of confidentiality regarding the proprietary technology and integration. We prefer to err on the side of safety regarding design, thus we have not yet released new images of the Sanswire II. We intend to release pictures and video footage as soon as we determine the product is ready.
Anyone else wonder how old the video is?
Anyone else thinking it's pretty old?
I just hope...the product is ready.
Frank - I agree with you...
Something stinks. DJ newswire is still the only place to find anything to do with a delisting. One would think news of this magnitude would spread to other sources quickly.
Any further thoughts?

GTE Brain Fry – Get ready:
Imagine someone could blanket the entire world (or at least all major cities) with internet, phone, TV and mobile phones in ~10 years at a price that is comparatively less (per city) than building a major road. To put 10 years in perspective, ask yourself how long it takes to build a major highway or nuclear power plant. Now ask yourself how long and it takes to put hundreds of satellites in orbit – or lay miles of fiber optics. Next, ask yourself how much do satellites and fiber optics cost.
Let’s put it on the table. GTE is claiming to be able to implement a product/service that will provide ‘triple play’ more quickly and more affordably than any publicly known solutions.
Think about this again:
Easier access and cheaper cable, phone, and Internet bills for a few Billion people.
Or the opportunity to even have cable, phone or Internet for another Billion people.
Or the first true ‘triple play’ solution.
Or a GLOBAL Internet system.
How much is this technology and business plan worth?
If you’re Tim Huff, what’s your biggest problem? Implementing and selling GLOBAL Internet for everyone at very low cost. Or, protecting your technology, idea and business plan.
Hey, didn’t the Russians want a business plan?
Imagine you’re Bill Gates back in the day. How do you make the most $$$?
(Answer = C)
A.) Startup Microsoft and sell it immediately when proven
B.) Advertise how great Microsoft is before it is proven, self sustained, and insider controlled. That way your ideas are stolen and you’re not first to market
C.) Stay involved with the company and stay in control of the company for as long as possible or ride it till you have ‘enough $’ and you’re sick of the politics
If you’re GTE, here’s what you do and how:
A.) Maintain control of your company at all times
a. Executive Options: to be granted as a % of shares rather than a set #
i. Increasing shares = The potential for insiders to own MORE shares
b. Keeping funding partners ‘close’ and allow them to have attractive entry
c. Future opportunities for funding partners if they ‘vote your way’
B.) Keep the company off the radar screen to limit exposure to competitors until it is too late for them to react
a. Low SP
i. Big time investors don’t want to buy and hold stocks at sub $5.00
ii. Big time investors don’t want to buy and hold stocks with such apparent risk (lawsuits, articles, etc)
iii. Big time investors don’t want to buy and hold stocks with so much volatility
b. Limited CREDIBLE media outlets (CNN, CNBC)
i. Partner with the military to tag classified on everything strat related to reduce visibility
1. Less strict shareholder guidelines with ‘classified’ material
c. Work outside of the US
i. If it’s not Oil or Inflation related, the US doesn’t care about it right now
Whoever said drive out Retail is dead on…but don’t forget to bring them back when your funding partners want to cash out some shares (fund at attractive levels…and fund often). Retail investors move the price when management wants them to. Then the short sellers stop shorting for a few days here and there. The institutions wait for off days to buy or have already bought. A fair amount of us here can tell when the short entities are present and anyone can tell that a 50k+ block is not retail.
There are so many PR’s that GTE could issue at any given time that would boost the SP. However, hardly any of them are required material events.
Here’s a couple that they could issue any time or if they want to get they’re latest funding deal in the $$$ by Friday:
1.) STRAT testing update
I. The STRAT is the ultimate tool for price manipulation
a. Classified status keeps the media out
b. Updates are not material but any testing update would boost SP
c. Many possible partner updates
2.) Any wireless build-out update
I. We have a guess at how many pilots are being worked on – they could offer an update at any time that would boost SP but updates are not material
3.) Any new partner we haven’t heard about
I. Remember, since the Russian debacle, I doubt they want to issue news of new investors; however, that doesn’t mean they couldn’t if it were necessary for another purpose
3 possible outcomes to this game:
1.) GTE is the real deal – can provide the last mile solution
2.) GTE is a fake
3.) GTE is not first to the big dance – someone steals the idea or implements something else first
Things to also remember:
First, Institutions are here and they are buying at all price levels. Go search for stocks trading in this price range or other startup tech stocks that have this much institutional ownership. You won’t find much. If it’s a fake, then 10 million institutional shares bought at a higher price than the current SP are going to look stupid too. If someone beats them to the market, GTE will jump in the spotlight as a competitor and the price will at least drift up for a bit (exp= SIRI vs XM). Second, the talent on board with GTE is in line or exceeds that of most fortune 200 companies. All of these globally renowned people are not going to want their name associated with a scam. Third, the department of defense is not going to have their name within a thousand miles of a scam company. If GTE were a fraud, don’t you think our DOD would want to expose them?
About time TRIB got a board! Been watching/playing since 2002. Nothing too special. Periodic spikes on FDA approvals (every 4 years). Constant growth. OSUR competitor/equal. High PE but one of the only PROFITABLE small biotechs out there. Trades around book value (if there is such a thing).

hmmmmmmmmm
Combing the net looking for STRAT sightings I ran into the Lockheed 'blimp' test from earlier this year. Since today pretty much sucked for everyone long, I for one wouldn't mind a discussion off the topic of lawsuits and what management is doing wrong.
Does anyone out there think there could be an alliance between Lockheed/Skunkworks and GTE/Sanswire? This part of the lockheed test of "P-791" stood out to me:
Although Lockheed Martin is developing a design for the Walrus project, the company states that the P-791 is not related to Walrus. A company official told Aviation Week that the P-791 is not part of a government contract, but an independent research and development project by the Skunk Works to better understand airship capabilities and technologies.

Technically, GTE seems to be gassed out on the downside. I guess it's not rocket science to see that everything has been oversold - RSI, W%R, Stoch, MACD, DMI, etc - the list goes on. We bounced off the bottom of the channel @ $1.30 and CMF has started to get green again (on down days too - wink). Even on the weekly chart things are starting to look better. Indicators are all bottoming and crossing towards the good. Unfortunately, there still seems to be so much emotional uncertainty towards the Company generated by BS PR's. All the bad press and lack or corporate reaction is leaving a crumy taste in everyones mouth.
I truly feel like GTE has reached a pivotal crossroads. Basically, most of the bad cards (that are forseeable) have been played. Technically, it's leaning towards some positive divergence. But at the same time there's 5% of me that wonders if jackass Jason is right while 70% of believes in the company and 25% of me feels like there's a lot more going on behind the scenes that may be deemed 'classified'.
Anyone agree or disagree we'll either have some news to guide the bull run soon? OR - we'll get the dagger to make most of us throw in the towel?
Curious to see where some of you stand. Low/Mide/Frank especially since your posts always add value.
I have to remind myself - Reasons I hold & buy:
Talented employees staking their names (and leaving good jobs)
Institutional holdings going up (odd for a no talent scam)
Insiders not selling (despite numerous press otherwise)
mid term technical bottom
Global wireless player
Growing revenue
Strats
Money services in India
VOIP
Island Bottom if GTE drops BIG news on monday before the open. A quasi 'W' would also be forming on the weekly pointing to a run of 8+. Weekly chart was/is starting to look better too. Daily was finally starting to show signs of life w/ indicators crossing.
The next few weeks will be without doubt some of the most interesting times for this CO. Nearing the pullback of the curtain. MSFT or ENRON?
Also - anyone else feel like their having a political conversation while being stoned when reading Low's posts? I need a new tinfoil hat! Keep them coming Low - you rock!
Sarraf goes long stock - then files suit:
They drop the case if the deal goes through. Not much lost other than time and maybe a touch of credability (if they have any).
The deal falls through and they try to win a lawsuit worth more than their long position.
Anyone think this is possible or legal?
Mide - am I reading this right?
or anyone else with thoughts...
the S-3 filed on 12/5/2005
~10mil shares
5mil with a max sale price of $3.25 per share
The other 5mil with a max sale price of $2.5 per share.
Convertable @ $1.65 per share?
I might be reading this completely wrong.
Thanks
FYI: Small Mexico update on the GlobeTel website - dated 4/4. Everyone probably noticed it already but I didn't see any mention when skimming over messages tonight.
Good evening everyone. My first post here - was growing a little tired of yahoo and RB.
Just an interesting site on some Lockheed patents:
