Policy Shift Allows Gas Stations to Install Hydrogen Fuel Cells
Consider the implications ....

Thank you all for the many free shares today. Much appreciated! Peace.
Actually, China, India, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Africa, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe and Australia are all investing a lot in coal - and they have absolutely no plans to stop anytime soon, regardless of the Paris accord.
The US is moving to our abundant natural gas - but Trump is making sure that we have coal as a backup - and also that we have clean coal (CCSU) technology to export to the rest of the world. True.
Trump is replacing Haley at UN.
UN released major report through IPCC which did not respect Carbon Capture. The next day Trump replaces Haley.
Connect the dots people and watch COP24 in Poland in December.
Midterm elections are going to be important.
Seems to me that both sides want to take credit for carbon capture - but both sides want to make sure nothing happens unless they are in control and able to take credit.
Anybody here have any idea what I am talking about ???

October 4th is R&D Day
Arena has been hyping the day. I wonder if they will have new announcements. Seems like they will have some new info. If they only give timelines on upcoming trials then that will be a dud.
Based on the October 2nd investor conference sessions, Olorinab is something that surpassed their expectations.
GLTA!
What am I missing about Toyota announcement?
Why is this a big deal? Haven't they already announced the entire plan? What are they going to announce that hasn't already been made public?
If this is just a milestone, like a ground-breaking, for some already known aspect of the project, then I don't see why the stock will move much at all. Maybe I am missing something important.
Interesting Factoid about Our President and his knowledge of Energy.
After Nikola Tesla died the US government confiscated all of his papers and materials to determine what secrets he had taken to the grave regarding all things electric and military. The man that they used to review Tesla's papers was none other than MIT professor John Trump, the President's uncle. Trump has often spoken about how his Uncle John would teach him about nuclear power and other similar matters.
This tells me that Donald Trump, whether anyone likes or dislikes him, knows more about what is really going on behind the scenes of the world energy markets (and military weaponary) than probably anyone else in the world.
That may mean nothing for FCEL or it may be meaningful in the near future. It may have been a coincidence that Trump hand picked Rex Tillerson to be Secretary of State, or it may have future implications for Exxon/FCEL once future trade deals are determined.
If the Bloom lobby is as strong as it appears, then for sure 'they' are going to keep price up until the insiders can cash out of the IPO. Not sure if that is the usual 12 months or 6 months for insiders. After that the price may tank. That may deflate all fuel cell companies in general, or maybe that money will look to move into FCEL.
I still think future infrastructure bill in senate is going to be important on what it will or won't contain pertaining to fuel cells, hydrogen, pipelines, carbon capture incentives, etc.
ARNA management is setting the table. Seems like O data is going to rock - but who can tell for sure? It is an open label study. Only O involved, so it would be a surprise if they pump the data release so much and data is bad.
I am thinking they will release data prior to market open on Monday October 1st. Should be fun. Let's see what happens....
Good find about the Toyota project.
Seems to me this is FCEL based but it's hard to tell.
Here is a press release from April. It also does not specific mention FCEL but instead refers to Toyota's Tri-Gen facility. So it seems that not all press releases are going to refer to FCEL, which does not have name recognition. That doesn't mean that FCEL is not at the heart of these projects. Hard to tell.

Article/paper about CCUS infrastructure. I look forward to the coming Infrastructure Bill in 2019. I believe that Exxon and FCEL are slow rolling their findings. Why say 'we can solve CCUS without any help'? Better to get government to properly pony up the required money for pipelines and other tax incentives.
The article does not discuss Utilization - which is the key IMO. It focuses on burying the CO2 which seems like a very stupid thing to do.

It has been more than 3 years.
The way that I understand the NOL tax laws, it is necessary to wait at least 3 years before the NOLs can be used in such transactions such as 'reverse mergers' or other ways.
It is has now been more than 3 years. So, it seems that if anything is going to happen with Couchman and the NOLs, then it will probably happen fairly soon. I don't know why the Couch Man would wait much longer. He has had 3 years to line up another company for the reverse merger.
Let's watch.
ARNA Management just announced they are going to be attending investor conferences next week.
Hmmmm..... let's see.... Olorinab was an 8-week trial which was to be fully enrolled about 10 weeks ago. Now there is a hasty decision to attend these investor conferences. Seems to me that there may good news on the O front. Let's watch.

Great point Krays. There are a lot of components and a lot of room for a lot of players. Tri-gen could be used to produce both H2 and electricity. Then depending on individual needs of stations and locality, the right mix of H2 or electricity could be produced.
One thing for absolute sure is that FCEL must have pushed this very very hard to Nikola. No way would they not give their biggest selling effort. That doesn't mean that Nikola said 'Yes'. I assumed that they had said 'No' but the 2.3 MW unveil has definitely got me thinking. It could be a coincidence that the 2.3 MW figure is used but it could be otherwise.
Hog, most of the articles about the CA proposal specifically mention that natural gas power is allowed - if it has carbon capture.
Infrastructure Bill in 2019
After the November elections the talk will be to finally have a bipartisan infrastructure bill. Does anybody think that Hydrogen will be part of the discussion? I am kind of shocked that neither side has said the 'H word' even though it is well understood that the only thing holding back adoption of fuel cell cars is .... Infrastructure. Seems like a no-brainer but then again where Washington is concerned .....
Another thought on the 2.3 MW station from Nikola.
FCEL defines their stations as 2.3 MW -- both for Toyota project and Exxon pilot project -- because the output for the standard fuel cell is megawatts. That makes sense. It would not make sense to define it by the natural gas needed to produce the megawatt output.
NEL, on the other hand, uses electricity as an input, in order to produce hydrogen. I believe that their station are defined in terms of KG of hydrogen produced, rather than by the amount of electricty required as input to produce the KG of hydrogen output.
So, the 2.3 MW station sounds very much like a FCEL product, as opposed to a NEL electrolyser product.
Kray/Max, thanks for the awesome posts. This is a good question about the 2.3 MW unveil by Nikola. After reading what I could find, it seems that NEL has a contract only for 16 of the still stated 700 stations by 2028.
Given that Nikola seems to be doing things in a smart way, I can believe that they do not want to have all 700 stations done by just one company, even if it were possible. I would think that they would be smart to have multiple partners for the stations.
Nikola's latest press release says nothing about NEL providing this new station. The report that Max shared reports that NEL will be the provider - but I wonder if they just assumed that (as we all have) based on the previous stated agreement with NEL. So, IMO, it is still an open question.
It's possible that Nikola wanted to start off by announcing 'renewable' hydrogen but the reality may be that they will use plenty of natural gas tri-gen stations. They say that they will use renewable 'when possible', so that could mean almost anything. I'm skeptical that they really plan a majority of their 700 stations to be run off of solar panels. Seems unlikely to me. Let's watch.
