I don't even know how to short trade. I'm still long on LAC but just pointing out my observations. You seem quite defensive about this company. Good for you. I can respect that.

Ouch. You have a lot invested and are down big time. Now I don't feel so bad. I'm only down a few thousand. What is your intuition on when we get to 7's and then 10's? I half joked 2020. Was laughed at. I simply looked at the moving average for the life time of LAC. Been at average 3.75. It's been the same for 10 years.

If that were so I wouldn’t have invested in it. Here is why I did!

Elon makes Electric Cars, the software brains plus makes the batteries (incredible Gigafactory) and the energy charging grid for them, plus (all things power, storage, solar etc.)

Imajine Henry Ford having to build his factory, model T’s and all the gas stations to run them simultaneously and refine all the gas too. (ie lithium for batteries)

When JP Morgan first gazed at Edison's Light Bulb the “I’m gonna be a billionaire” lightbulb went off in Morgans head. The same feeling all Longs have and won't ever give up on.

As far as funding, relax, he is in a special club of the world's wealthy that GETS IT and they have plenty of funding available for him if he really needs it.

Elon Musk is revolutionizing the storage of energy into and with the grid and is continuing where Nikola Tesla left off.

In 5 years Elon Musk will be right up there with Gates, Jobs and Bazos along with Edison (great entrepreneur) who was screwed by Morgan. His cars namesake Nikola Tesla (bad entrepreneur who gave his ac patent rights to westinghouse to save his company) the real Genius who died penniless.

Betting against all that is a fool's errand.

My real take on LAC? It's a fine company that will grow in time. Investing in a US company with the largest lithium deposits that is getting ready for harvesting will pay off and is a no brainer. I just get frustrated seeing my portfolio down thousands and going down dailey. That is what I'm making lite of. Bottom line, this stock is a long term play that will be a double or better in a few years which i'm fine with.

Truth is I was only partly joking. If you draw a strait line MA from 2016 bottoms out to today's bottom (still not bottomed out yet) it goes out to 2021 to 7's. Like osomon said, I'm not that far off. Realicating 1/3 of my winning LAC shares to tesla was a winning move as Tesla up 11 dollars Lac down 11 cents.

Just messing with you all. Pushing 20 should happen by then. It's just that it "seems to be" getting there slowly was my point. And No i'm not a short. Yes I want to maximize my portfolios income.

Based on my previous post i'm thinking of selling my 1/3rd winning LAC position and buying some more Tesla. Having some mad money in LAC is fine, but I need more short term income. When it's all said and done, that is the main reason for investing in the first place.

Yes, we will be in for awhile. 1 year to get to 5's, 2 years to get to 6's and 3 to get above 7. That's the reality and the investment until production and income based on how this stock is being played so far.
