With 3 analysts now covering CVSI, I wonder if it will help stabilize the normal OTC Slide we have had since September (rally to 6 fade to low 4s, rally to high fives, fade to low 4s that we know too well) It would be nice if there is a better floor above 5 and it holds here before some other big catalyst.
Have a good day all - go CVSI
The class action Lawsuits have a Feb date for some significant next step? Do I remember this right?
I traded emails with new IR rep, Scott Van Winkle from ICR yesterday. Nice and responsive. He has just been getting up to speed since IRC took over from IRTH. One look at their website and scale and you can see this is a more serious global firm. I like his background as well. http://www.icrinc.com/people/scott-van-winkle/ Great upgrade and maybe they will even impress Lester some day :)
Where would CWBHF be with 13 mil vol day... hmmmm. Lets hope we see that in 2019 sometime
Aphria ran today as well 14% on 13 mil vol - rumor of other bidders than the fake Green Growth bid
VHammer1: (disclaimer first - do not follow me or anyone else's investing advice here... just feeling your pain...) So FWIW: I became enamored with CVSI in the early 2018 run thru Aug (hard not to be- was fun really and I lost some perspective at times because I made a good amount during this time. BUT that was from a much, much too concentrated position in CVSI. I have been learning to manage my risk more since my 'education' under two rough short attacks on my two primary investments - CVSI and APHA.
Now what has been working for me well, I am balancing my overweight CBD positions on CVSI and CWEB with (mainly US) MJ that remind me of CVSI a year ago (exciting revenue growth, relatively cheap, and are positioned in the largest US state markets, looking to steps towards the US MJ legalization). It has helped my CVSI obsession to have a portfolio of CWBHF, TCNNF, ORHOF, OGRMF; plus I got back in APHA near its lows and that is shaking off its short hit now. They track differently than CBD plays it seems and have good upside like CVSI still.
Good luck - keep at it -I do think we'll get paid in a much bigger way with CVSI...
Ania: I am in both CVSI and CWBHF/CWEB because they are the two market leaders and have different competitive advantages, and different risks. I am learning a lot about the nuance of the CBD products from you and many others. I do think those differences will make more of a difference as the CBD market matures. Right now I just want to be in the first movers, best brands, front runners. I am not smart enough to choose the future winner, so I'll do both.
Thanks Rifle - I looked into the same thing figuring B*K was full of it as usual. I saw the acquisition too. I sent CVSI IR a note and asked them to update the website which still does list the old company name and *seems* to be our of compliance from the OTCQB list. I suggested it is a simple html update to avoid pathetic attacks from fake french fries. He and others look for any BS to go after like citron/left did in the summer too. I do think CVSI is working to clean up its public posture with more eyes on it now. For new people here, BKK lies and attacks. On red days, dozens of times per day. His BS is easily refuted.
Agreed - this was more neutral- the headline was more negative. We also had a second firm initiate coverage on CVSI this week as a neutral. (I think that is actually a positive for CVSI despite flat rating for now.) Like you Super I am in both CWEB and CVSI and think they have different advantages pros/cons. Will be interesting to see who executes the best in next 6-12 months. CWEB running today.
thanks Hold High - will watch the video
Thanks
Great - thanks - with thread do you find most useful there?
Thanks - April 30 - so Canadian companies have 120 days to report for end of Fiscal year?
Where is this list from? OGI reported yesterday
Do we know when the next earnings announcement is? I would guess late Feb at least to allow the full year results to be audited? I was on their site and do not see a date listed.
Close at high today? or some profit taking late today? We are now $1.06 higher than Friday AM. 26% gain is nice bounce off that recent low with good Mona news, first analyst coverage, and volume... NASD out there tomorrow or Monday? Interesting times...
I would be fine with bumping up against $5.50 today sleuth! MMC and others on technical analysis - we've broken through the 100 day pretty well it seems.
I also like half million green vol in first 10 minutes :) Let punch through that $5...
Our first analyst covering CVSI? I like the price target for now. That is about where I figured a conservative fair value on trailing 12 month price to sales back in Nov.
You mean will be propelled up by earnings, right? I don't think earnings will be posted until early March to allow the 4Q and yearly to be audited. Yes?
With 200m rev for 2019 possible I’d say anything under 10 is a steal.
Cartonet and HoldHigh have posted about this a lot, but we are about 120 days out and this may be the first day for sales. Great that nearly 70% are locked up, but even some new traded shares may bounce things around for a while esp after such a nice run the past three weeks.
Is this 10% drop today profit taking from the 40% run up or reaction to new shares available to trade?
FWIW - one of the reasons I love CVSI is focus and net positive revenue. (So I have looked for others with the power of revenue - and one of the other bets that has helped me stay long with CVSI is TCNNF - Trulieve- take a look at a great, dominant medical MJ play in FL, great revenue (larger than any other MJ co?) and possibility of recreational in FL coming on soon; also positioned in MA and CA. TCNNF has had a move the past few weeks but structure seems good and volume still really low. Good luck and happy three day weekend to all.
Good news on lock-up through July. When Tlray did this, they were rewarded with a 10% pop and a much bigger drop yesterday when the shares did become free. I think Thiel's company was the only one to say he was not selling. TCNNF seems like a much bigger commitment.
Also, so were some previous posters correct that insiders could have sold in late January?
I'm guessing a big dip on headline news of CEO, out then if numbers are good or slightly better than expected, a rip on returns and house cleaning.
I would like to get more in mid-5's and think before noon that may happen.
Nice - thanks for highlighting this. Tomorrow could ignite APHA and help it get past the short BS with impressive numbers.
true
That's been my position since early Sept. Denial would have happened by now.
The one worry I have is if NASD said we cannot start review of your app until *after* its legal. In that case, is it possible that review just started?
I looked but could not find the additional emails you mentioned.
Does this help? It was gummies

Thanks Hunchback. I came across OGI last month and am really impressed. I am focusing in on high revenue, low debt, and if possible net positive. OGI seems well positioned and I will continue to dig for more DD. (I like CVSI, CWEB, ORHOF, TCNNF as well)
This is a pretty quiet board for such a solid company. I saw the interview with the CEO over the past couple of weeks - I love their approach.
If NASD staff were allowed to review the app while CBD still Federally illegal, I hope the uplist will come early in Jan since they have had ample time. If they were not even allowed to do much DD before FB was passed and this became legal two days ago, this may trail into February.
From Dowling's comments, we really don't know what stage this was at.
Nice PR; CWEB also PR today about hiring a Coca Cola former exec - I like that strategy and hope it is a nice signal bump for CBD leaders (A number of the big MJ companies have done well this way). Personally I hope CVSI may bring on someone external to signal partnership directions. I think it is the sign of a mature company willing to invest in more talent (like we did with Dowling).
Nice strategic move re KO exec. Let’s see where this goes.
Hi SpaceLady: thanks for running it this time. I say $17.3 mil and 2200 stores. (The previous pool we guessed about 35-40% higher than actual (18 range vs 13.2) , so be aware all - we are an overly optimistic group! That being said, I hope we are all low... Go CVSI in 2019!
Merry Christmas to all - I hope everyone has time away from this to be thankful for good people in your lives. Gratitude leads to happiness. I appreciate all I have learned here and while its been rough at times, I'm excited to see what the future could bring.
