Shareholder's Lament
By FatBaldMiddleAge Guy
Another year has come and gone
And still I sit awaiting
The tech, "new wheel", a finance deal
My patience is abating
Oh, if I'd sold three years ago
I'd have things aplenty
For then, of course, the price was high
And gains could have been many
But now, alas, it's sunk so low
That none can dare to sell
The gains are gone, and losses strong
Are ours to have, oh well…
But wait, a light I see ahead
The movie just might make it
And if the profits survive Ray
New Visual could take it
And finish things that value give
To shares I have been holding
Then brighter days would come my way
A dynasty unfolding
Just like Intel, or Microsoft
We could become a giant
And we'd be rich, we'd never bitch
Our officers compliant
They'd tell us all the things they'd done
To make our money grow
And we'd act smart, and play the part
Of people "in the know"
But then, again, that light I see
May just be an illusion
Reflections of the days gone by
When blinded by confusion
I held my stock when I should sell
While thinking of the day
When $100 a share I thought
New Visual would pay
Let's hope it doesn't come to that
For if it does, I'm sunk
Another victim of a stock
That really always stunk.
