I have been to Yankee Stadium several times, Angels Stadium in Orange County, Dodgers Stadium in LA and the baseball "experience" did not even come close.
Toronto was good for basketball though.
Thanks for keeping the spirit alive even though you have moved, I find the Landsdowne Street experience hard to compete with and the North End Celtics/Bruins experience is pretty swell too.
But if you move I suppose its time to adopt a new team and enjoy those games too. he he. time rolls on.
Solyndra ahhh so the money went into the building or so they would like us to believe.
Boeing, Dealing prescription drugs from a manufacturing plant, well when the drugs cost 300 dollars and up a month of course there will be a black market. Why is the FDA holding back on allowing generics for major drugs?, the pricing is alot more favorable to the average consumer. As long as there is the perception that someone is trying to pinch the consumer there will be these struggles for sure.
Oh yeah congratulations to Djokovic of Serbia for winning the US Open, What a machine with a sense of humor too !! , Oh yeah and Samantha Stosur of Australia, cant forget them too.
( as if they read this, lol ).
I didnt watch one lick of baseball this year so the REDSOX loss was not even felt. No tears here. We had the Bruins and that may be enough Unless the Pats can do it this year.
CF and MCP doing ok today and have good charts so its not like every equity is bad, Check AZO autozone, remarkable curve.
Markets are going to be choppy hang in there, I believe the overall bias is maybe not recession but slow to no growth.
Which means bullish for gold even if its gradual.
GOT BURNED MAJOR by the selloff in the Swissy and it will be a cold day in hell before I park money in a currency again.
What a relief that the hurricane is staying out to sea, Bye Bye Katia glad not to meet ya.
Cramers recommendation for trading to delete credit card debt and be sure to have health and disability insurance check and check, time to trade.
Safer bets look like the FXF, GLD, SLV, TLT, FAZ
NFLX careful though apparantly those selling might be just the retail crowd and not the funds crowd.
FXF may turn back into a reliable call, we shall see
NFLX - Starz Ends Contract Negotiations With Netflix
Last Update: 9/1/2011 5:13:58 PM
DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
Starz on Thursday said the pay-TV channel ended contract negotiations with
online-video giant Netflix Inc. (NFLX), saying it would cease to distribute the
company's content on Netflix's streaming platform next year.
"This decision is a result of our strategy to protect the premium nature of our
brand by preserving the appropriate pricing and packaging of our exclusive and
highly valuable content," according to the company's statement.
Shares of Netflix dropped 10% to $210.50 after hours.
Netflix has generated increased anxiety in the entertainment business for its
growing heft. Some networks and cable operators fear Netflix, which has millions
of subscribers, could siphon away their customers, particularly with its new
video streaming service.
"With our current studio rights and growing original programming presence, the
network is an excellent position to evaluate new opportunities and expand its
overall business," Starz said. The channel is owned by Liberty Media Corp.
(LSTZA, LSTZB).
A Netflix spokeswoman wasn't immediately available to comment.

NFLX now looking like a put, for realsies, higher content cost and providers pulling deals away.

Come on Mr. Market shake off the cobwebs and move up a bit would ya ?
Thats what you do when everyone buys alot of treasuries YOU build the country that the bonds support, with infrastructure spending.
Aduhhhhhhh when will they get off their butts with this.

In the constructive IP world for music and movies....
I GOT TO CHOOSE WHO I WORKED WITH, its much betta that way
In the early 90s the mantra that was almost all encompassing in the corporate world was "Let the Spice Flow". IE Spice reference to India Trading of Spices worldwide, ie Lets open up the markets worldwide, this was already happening but not with such a concentrated effort.
Now in the late 00's to early 10's the mantra is "Let the Lawsuits Flow" reason being is that we sort of had our arses handed to us in terms of the deficit and jobs. Preserve pricing and competition, and preserve a way of life in America.
Catia or Katia, a famous CAD design software and F yeah another freaking storm in the atlantic pointed at us
Come onnnnnnn MCP is like the only stock that is down today or so it seems
Hey food court, Yup still a Redsox Fan.
The storm was an absolute bust here which was a huge win !!! Kaching......
We have a bar sign across from my apartment and the thing wasn't even moving even during the eye of the hurricane??? I still don't get how it got reduced that much but we shall take it. The outer rain bands of the storm were the most deadly cause Upstate New York and Vermont got alot more rain than we did. Bad flooding up there I guess. It was totally hit and miss. Luckily chalk us up for a miss.
Warming up to equities and getting more skeptical of gold in the
near term. Gold making a head and shoulders but may blast past that
negativity due to economic situations. Equities look like they are
coming out of oversold territory
Rough week betting on different directions for Gold and mostly losing, down 700 for the week but up more than that since beginning of August
Well there is a switch in sentiment its risk on for equities and off
for GOLD, although gold spot has found some footing right in the
predicted range of 1825 to 1850, I wouldnt be surprised if it
continues to rise from there.
Equities absolutely cranked today and I have my eyes on CF for fertilizer stocks and GMCR as a reliable chart technically.
Sounds too good to be true but as long as markets are down,
currencies are down, treasuries dont pay, housing market is down,
unemployment is up, fed is at zero interest rates, and the USdollar
is down gold will remain hyperbolic for good reason.
Besides just check the average performance of an IPO lately, hardly
worth losing money over
Options can be a bugger, Was up 300 since yesterday this week, then the GLD rose around 0.2% and it wasnt enough to impress the options premiums so the entire 300 lost today.
Solution: Buy deep in the money calls, they did not take any hits today whereas the speculative OTM calls did.
Watching gold, stopped watching currencies, stopped watching equities, so not much to watch.
Is the swissy FXF going to rebound ? what a slide and still alot of bearish press, so I dont know really.
Ho Hum looks like a boring trading day to me... Waasssup folks.
And yet Jersey Shore is all that MTV has got, not enough good content providers out there. hehe
Flat day so far for gold, not seeing much for equities to wet my taste buds
Risk Off options becoming more limited, all signs point to GOLD, Silver is out, FXF Swissy is out, TLT naaaahhh, VIX is too sketchy.
Gold prices seem to be dependent on world debt problems and currency
issues so it may rise with the markets and stay rising if and when
the markets fall.
Interesting Factoid when you read the dimensions on large cars and
trucks, the head room and leg room are pretty consistent but the hip
width on a Hummer H2 is larger, other than that it seems an
Escalade offers some of the biggest passenger and driver room of all
SUVs.
Dont know that I buy that we have both seen the highs and lows for the year, I doubt that prediction, I think first we go higher and then if things snowball we could go really low.
