For all the ZP doubters here's your business plan, update and guidence for the year......
http://yahoo.smartmoney.com/undertheradar/index.cfm?story=20060428&afl=yahoo&pgnum=2
Nice article. Many questions answered.
I can't seem to get an archived feed from the show. Did you see it? If so could you summerize it for me??
Thank in advance
Thanks.......
That news is posted on every message board but I can't find the interview anywhere. What gives? Was it just some after hours pump for the stock price or what? Got a link? The price jumped in afterhours so I guess it worked. I sold some at 2.24 and bought them back at 2.15. Not going to be added into the daytraders hall of fame but 9 cents is 9 cents..(lowered my cost basis anyway).
Also: I got stopped out of my trading shares today at 1.91. Going in for another lot at 1.66. They all can't be great trades..............
I didn't say the SmartCar import idea was a money loser or that it would be unsucsessful. I just stated that I don't like the idea of ZAP basing their whole business model around it for the future( in my e-mails with Steve Schneider he agreed and assured me this wasn't the case, hence the OBVIO line coming in 07). I don't see how that is changing my colors???????
So what exactly does ZAP have to do to gain your praises?? You himmed and hollered for months about how they weren't going to get the Smarts out to dealers, now that it's happened you change your argument. You claim also that your long ZAP????? Doubt it!
I can also assure you I'm every bit a Marine. 90-94 1st battalion 12th Marine regiment.
By the way CHOAD do you still live in Washington state? That's convienent considering I live in Oregon. I don't suppose you live near the Washington/Oregon border...........oh that's right you do! Perfect! Don't forget to send me that e-mail!
What the hell are you talking about?? What great idea? If your going to try and make fun of me at least do it so everyone on the board can actually understand you...........it's funnier that way. If only you can understand your put-down then I think it's less effective. The whole board has to understand it.
Imagine, I have to actually tell someone how to make fun of me????? Your so intelligent CHOAD. If you insist on trying to make fun of me and Marines I have an idea: Private message me your e-mail then I'll e-mail you my address (or you can e-mail me your address). Then we can meet face to face and you can make fun of me all you like. I think that takes more balls then doing it behind a computer screen. I'll be waiting for your message........
Smarts are great for now but I'm more interestd in the OBVIO's and the XEBRA's????? That's when ZAP will really start to make money.I'm just not crazy about the whole "ZAP importer for SmartCars" business model. Anyone else agree?
Bought back 3/4 of my trading position today at 2.01. We'll see if we can't get some good PR's this week and maybe a little guidence on how the Smart cars are doing????? ya never know.
Regardless if they still hold positions in the stock. They will most likely always hold a position. My point was it just doesn't look good when all these insiders start selling at the same time. Not a very big vote of confidence in the company if you ask me. I've already voiced my concern with the CEO 2 weeks ago, he agreed with me but it really doesn't matter. Insiders will do what ever the hell they want! Frustrating!
Good Luck,
Anyone else notice all the insiders dumping their shares????? Check out www.nasdaq.com look at insider form 4. Guess those insiders don't have very much faith in ZAP huh? bastards..........
"For all we know Naked is a retarded can collector who barely made it thru the cub scout survival fitness test in his parents back yard..."
Ha ha ha Now that's funny.
By the way I actually passed that test, and if it wasn't for the zig zagging orange cones at the end I would of heartily beat my brother who was in the lane next to me.........at least that's what my mother told me............
"CAN COLLECTING"++++++++++An honorable profession
You need to freshen up on your reading skills. How can you imply I'm collecting a paycheck for free without doing any work? Go back and read my posts you idiot! I said " I'm able to finish the work assigned to me and then I'm able to daytrade when my work is done". How does this translate into (according to you) Being lazy and not working or earning a paycheck? Your such a moron you can't even comprehend my posts. Maybe you shouldn't be on these boards. Then again if you weren't here you wouldn't have much to do seeing as you have over 7000 posts on I-Hub!!!!!! No wonder you hate me so much...........you envy me for having done something meaniful with my life.
Have a good day you silly little draft dodger..............Say hello to all your military friends for me. And if you don't mind could you get off my coat tails, I and the thousands of other veterans are getting tired of carrying people like you around. We actually fought and defended liberty unlike you who just knew someone who did!
And you think you have the right to speak up.............what a joke. The only thing you've earned is the distinguished " MOST POSTS ON THE I-HUB BOARD AWARD"> Remember, when you spew your bullshit on this board I have fought for that right for you.........
Please provide me with your name, address and the work number of your superior so I can forward the payment. LOL YCSMF
ha ha. I actually got a chuckle from that one. That was pretty funny. Seriously though, this conversation is really getting old. Just fucking deal with it and tell your alter ego or your other I.D. langostino( I find it funny how both of you hang out on the same boards) to shut his mouth. He sounds jelous of me because he never accomplished anything in life! All i hear from his posts are..." I know someone in the Marines" or.... " people in my family were in the military". langostino your nothing to me. Just because you have a friend of a friend of an uncle's friend etc etc who was this or that or whatever. Get of your ass and do something with your life. You haven't and will NEVER earn the right to judge me. Your beneath me, I wouldn't walk across the street to piss on you if you were on fire.........People like you don't even exist in my world. So like I said until you actually go out do something of substance with your life,(instead of posting on I-Hub all day and night like some loner who lives with his parents at the age of 50) just picture me sitting here reading your posts and laughing my ass off because your a joke. How many veterans did you spit on at the airport when they were coming back from Vietnam??? "oh it's ok guys....I've earned the right to spit on you because my daddy's friends uncles sisters boyfriend once knew a Marine"..................what a joke you are....really quite sad actually!
Hope you have a really great weekend fella's try not to spend too much time posting .....ABOUT ME......or thinking to much ......ABOUT ME.......but I'm sure you will because that's what losers do.......THINK ABOUT AND TRY TO BE LIKE.....ME!
So what's your point dumbass?/ How bout we get back to ZAP? Have you anything meaninful to add to the board??? Doubt it. You just came out of the woodwork because I ruffled your feathers a little. My conscience is just fine.
So I guess now your going to school me on the Marine Corps because you KNOW someone who was in????? Do you know how frigging dumb that sounds? Don't even mention the word MARINE or try to tell me anything about them (just because you know someone who was in) unless you've at the very least drove by and smelled the salty humid air of Parris Island. Or spent a night sleeping in a hole in the desserts of Saudi Arabia/Kuwait with a M.O.P suit and gas mask on covered in oil residue ducking pot shots from an Iraqi RPG battery everynight for a week and a half. ......have you at least done any of those things??? How about called in artillery rounds on other human beings knowing damn well they have families who will sorely miss them because of a choice you had to make ...right or wrong....or just following orders????? Have you done that? How bout after calling in those rounds walking up to the destruction caused by your hand and reporting back to your superiors a damage assesment report? Ever see a body in about 18 different pieces?? So tell me have you done any of those things????? Until then don't ever come on a message board, or in person, questioning another mans integrity and dedication to his Goverment!
So if you want to sit on your high chair and look down your nose at me because I'm able to succsesfully make a living and daytrade at the same time then you have issues you need to deal with. As far as I'm concerned I could daytrade 100% of the time on the goverments dime and they would still owe me. Unless of course they could figure a way to give me back my old life. Until then I'll collect my VA disability, go to work everyday to do my job and .....and........daytrade.
This discussion is growing old and it'll be the last post that I will comment on it>
Have a nice weekend dipshit!
Listen buddy. I know I really hit a nerve with you about the whole day trading thing. You keep yapping about what a shitty person I am yet you know nothing about me. I served my country for 4 years in the Marines and also went to war for 7 months. You have no idea what my job is and exactly no clue as to how my pay is structered so until I let you in on those facts I've heard about enough of you.
Don't preach to me about integrity and dedication to my job. I've been with the goverment for almost 13 years now and when it comes to performance issues I am far above the rest in my field ( That direct quote was taken from my last performance review with my superior....Jan 06 ) and I do go way above and beyond.
This is about all I'll say on the subject. This message board isn't supposed to be about Nakedtraders life, it's about ZAP and the great things the company is trying to accomplish.
well thank you very much sir.
Some people know how to multi task. I have a given amount of work that is expected of me each week whether I finish that work in 10 hours or 60 hours I still get a salary for 40 hours a week. If I choose to burn through my work and day-trade with the rest of my time then so be it. You don't understand the nature of my job. There is plenty of downtime. And I never called federal/Govt workers lazy.....those were your words not mine. I think Fed workers are some of the most dedicated so don't put words in my mouth.
Don't hate the player .....hate the game!
Ya it's tough! I was at my computer and MWAV was bouncing from 1.57-1.65. One of my employees had a problem I had to take care of (it ended up taking me about 45 minutes) I got back to my desk logged on to my computer and MWAV was at 1.18. I almost put my foot through my computer screen. It then, as I watched, dropped down to 1.04 and I almost sold it at 1.14 for a huge loss. But I said "fuck it.... this thing is either going back up or I'm going down with the ship". I've lost my ass too many times panic selling. So I shut my computer off and did some work. Later on when I looked at the price on my cellphone it was up to 1.35. I said " man I would of really been kicking myself for selling". The thing is I could of sold at 1.63 or so (at that time ZP was down to 2.10) and bought back my ZP shares I sold at 2.30. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.
Talk to ya later,Good luck
Mark
And to that phony CHOAD :Unfortuntly I was able to catch your messages on my work computer because I'm not logged on there (forgot my password) as a result I can't put you on ignore there.
There's no way in hell you own shares of ZP! You wouldn't be on here everyday bashing unless your as stupid as I first thought but then again I don't think it's really possible to be that stupid. You could be proving me wrong though. I think it's funny that you think I'm pumping because I invest in a stock and then exchange opinions about it with others on a message board? What would you suggest I do? You really got a good laugh out of my " Professional Life suffers" statement huh? I know it must be tough for you to try and trade all day when your in the back of a dump truck or in a ditch working for minimum wage but some of us actually work inside in front of a computer so it is entirely possible that my "Professional life" could be suffering by day trading everyday. So go ahead and laugh it up my friend.........once again I'll get the last laugh because i work for the goverment. So I just want you to think of me when, after digging holes all week, you collect your pay check: You look at it: Notice 20 percent went to the goverment for taxes: And realize it helped to pay my salary! All the while I was day trading 80% of my day!.....haaa ha ha h a . Now that's something to laugh about.
I hear Dr Scholls does wonders for the callouses on your hands.......hhhaaaa haaa aahh. I'm just killing myself tonight!!
Next week do you want to just send me your paycheck directly or continue with your usual deductions?
Your looking at the wrong auto buddy. The xebra goes for that much I think.
CPMAC: Sold the trading shares at 2.30 ( actually had an order in for 3.38 but in my open orders page I had another stock I was selling CDSS and I mistakenly hit the ZP shares at 2.30. O-well doesn't matter at this point. We'll see if this 2.06 area support holds if it does will buy back and if it doesn't I'll sit at the 1.80 area with my catchers mitt! How'd you do today?
I caught a few pennies on CTCH B-3500 @ 1.13 and S-@ 1.17. Thought it was going higher but no dice. Also fucked up and bought MWAV at 1.47 could of sold at 1.63 - 1.65 area but thought (again) it was going higher only to retrace down to 1.04 then close at 1.30. Very low floater and a nail biter, wasted the goverments money sitting in front of the computer half the day with that one( some stocks you just can't leave alone or they'll fuck you). Bought 6000 ARTX afterhous at .429. Had good news yesterday and the stock dropped something like 18%. Then went up a little today and dropped a bit afterhours..... Gotta be good for a bounce.
Almost bought PLUG at the open but said screw it cause I didn't feel like sitting in front of the computer all day ( I ended up sittting in front of it anyway though).
Wow, I guess you really set me straight. I guess I'll just sell all my ZP stock (which by the way is way above my cost basis) and go crawl back into my clueless corner of the room. I bow to you ole great one. Wow, you talked to people and management face to face so that makes you some kind of expert? You really sound like a retarded old fool. Do you even know the process of converting the cars? Do you know how long it takes? Did you know it doesn't take the same amount of time for each car? Did you know each process has to be documented and photographed? Did you know each car converted generates about 40 pages of documentation for the FEDS? Probably not! Because your too busy trying to convince everyone how shitty ZAP is as a company! If you were really as smart as you say you are then instead of opening your big stupid mouth trying to shit on ZAP for the past year you would of been buying the stock when it was sitting at .30-.60 cents. I guess you were just too smart to get over a 200% gain huh? Your a phony And you only think you know everything. If someone came on this board a few months ago and actually listened to your mindless drivel they would be kicking themselves right now for not buying. That my friend is all I need to say and there is no come back for that............it's all right there on a chart dipshit!
If all your investment decisions have been as good as your call with ZAP,I would love to see your portfolio I bet the fucking thing looks like swiss cheese. I hear the goverment now has debit cards instead of the old paper food stamps. You might want to check in to that. Any other stocks I should avoid besides ZAP that have given me (personally) a 100 % gain in a month?
See ya later Numbnuts but I'm all set for advise!

Can't reply to your private message. I don't have platinum membership.
I'm not so sure we'll see 1.80 this week, however I was a bit surprised by todays weakness as well. There seems to be some support in the 2.00-2.06 area and I'm hoping that will hold. I did think we were going to get a bigger gap up this morning but what the hell, it just would of been a big gap that would of got filled later. I did manage to sell some share as 2.28 and 2.24. Bought them back at 2.16 and 2.17. I don't want to be out of this stock for too long ( I do keep my investing shares tucked away). I'm afraid I'll miss a big spike. ZAP has really been executing lately on it's business plan and our beloved CEO is apt to release PR's anytime IMO and we've all seen how hard ZAP can run when it's got momentum on it's side. On a side note: Is it me or does it always seem like someone is accumulating this stock lately?? Everytime I watch level II (which is most of the day everyday) It just smells like someone accumulating, even when the price is going down. What are your thoughts on this?
I still think it will work it's way up to the 2.50 range and then base there. I might E-Mail Steve and ask him if he's planning on giving some 06 guidence now that they have started shipping out the smarts to their dealers. I was pretty excited this weekend when I saw some of their dealers finally listed on the ZAP website. It just reinforces, for me, that ZAP is executing! If he can give 06 guidence and it's as good as I think it would be then we could see a nice jump in the share price. The big move will come when we get more clarification on the OBVIO line. Everyone I talk to seems to love those cars. I think the Smart cars are ugly (though they are starting to grow on me) and I think the xebra is hideous looking. But the OBVIO's are just plain coooooooool!!!!! Especially the 012, that thing is pretty bad ass! When those start coming out all hells going to break loose with the share price, again, as long as ZAP can execute.
Good luck with your trading/investing. I wish I didn't have to trade this stock ( time consuming and as a result my professional life suffers a bit) but I'm just trying to pick up free shares basically.
Mark,
Call the dealer in New Hampshire. He told me that they were getting 10 in this week and 6 were allready sold. What's so mysterious about that? Did you ever think that ZAP doesn't know how many cars they will be able to work on and complete in a given week so they can't give numbers. It's a huge process ya know.
Your so funny. You shit on ZAP for months about not being able to excute and it's all bullshit yada yada. Then when they start delivering cars your still not satisfied because you can't get the number of how many they are delivering. Get a life man.........
What? Because I sign for I-hub in the last month that means I just got into the market? What are you some kind of moron or something?
Another thing: ZAP finally put up a list of dealers on their website this weekend with phone numbers and homepages. Do your own DD and call a dealer..........I guess ZAP is finally fulfilling it's promises and getting the cars out there.
I called 2 dealerships this weekend to see how they were selling. The dealer in New Hampshire had 8 from 2 weeks ago that were gone and he said they were getting 10 more this week and that 6 were sold allready. The dealer in Pennsylvania said they had 8 and all were sold.I'm curious as to what ZAP's revenues will be this coming qtr? If last qtr they didn't have any revs coming from Smartcars and this qtr they are ramping up like crazy!!! Also curious as to how much ZAP makes on each car? Anyway, seems ZAP is in the sweetspot business-wise right now. Demand seems big for these cars.
Come on. Trading board and no one talks about ZP???????
What a bunch of amateurs...........
Correction: They are driving across country for the New York auto show next week and are opening the dealership, with full press/media this weekend!
like I said, support rests at 1.80 (closed at 1.80 Thursday) My prediction of a close at 2.20 (give or take .10 cents was a day late but what the hell. Important thing is after the rally ZAP has had it is holding support areas which is very important to the health of a stock. You'll also notice that the 10 day SMA held support both Thursday, Friday and is moving up nicely. The retracement this week relieved the oversold condition of the stock which means we can actually move up again and start forming a base from a higher position than here.My guess would be the 2.50 area. I fully expect a gap up on Monday judging from the end of day trading and the fact a couple people are trying to get in afterhours 3 cents above the close. Also, as most of you probably know, ZAP is caravaning across the country, in 6 smart cars, enroute to the grand opening of the green car daelership. Very Smart(no pun intended) marketing campaign, it gets the word out. Zap has also started announcing dealerships and started shipping cars. I think all this information is going to propel and drive the price of ZAP stock in the short term. After a year or so of promises and PR's they are really starting to execute on their plan........it's finally happening!!!!! You can say goodbye to below a buck ( unless ZAP screws up somehow). The only reason it was trading down their to begin with was a lack of execution and confidence in management, again, I think these issues are behind ZAP. Wait till next qtrs numbers are released...............your going to see a major revenue increase!!!
Anyone selling ZAP at this level IMO needs to have their head checked. My advice? Buy a core position in the stock and a trading position ( yes ZP is extremely fun to trade and if you watch it long enough you can almost sense it's next move, very predictable, so far, stock). Hold on to your core and trade the rest. I've picked up a handful of free shares doing this. Good luck
This is one really sweeeeet looking chart for a lesson in support and resistence. High volume rise, low volume pullback and bounces off moving average support............God love technical analysis.....................
http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/intchart/frames/frames.asp?symb=Zp&time=&freq=
One caveat to the post: Would of liked to see a little more volume today but we were pretty much in line with yesterday so it really a moot point. Also I think the exposure over the weekend for the dealership will take us up. Everyone remember what happened last Monday?????? And all ZAP had was a little add on the AOL welcome page. I'll paste a quote from Steven Schneider (CEO of ZAP) from his e-mail to me last Friday night
"Mark I thank you for investing in the company and will always welcome your input. It does help. As always feel free to call me on any issue.
PS we are on the welcome page of America Online today. They have 28 million viewers so it should be a good Monday!"
Man was that a great call or what?????
One more thing> You may be asking how I came up with those support areas? If you have been watching level II for the past 3 weeks like I have you will notice after it bumped up into each one of those areas mentioned it took a good while (anywhere from 1 day to 4 days) to break through them and once they were broken the share price broke up to a higher level.
Support held today at mid 1.80's bud! After that the support rests at 1.45-1.55 area then it's down to 1.25 area. Doubt we'll see it though. From a trading standpoint this is healthy and you can't be greedy with this stock. I took (from my trading shares) profits at 2.85 yesterday and bought back today at 2.02. I thought 2 bucks would hold but it didn't. Buyers stepped in at the close so you can expect a gap up in the AM. From there it's anyones guess but I'd say we close around 2.20's give or take 10 cents. Notice how every run we've had it always retraces to fill the gaps? No it didn't close below the gaps at 1.25 area and the 1.80 area but it retraced down to those areas intraday. (doesn't have to close below or get all the way down to them to technically fill, a few pennies near the gap is good enough, from what I've read and seen with my own eyes. Nothing but healthy retracement on lower volume. Expect it to consolidate in the low 2's area until the next good news release of significance. Hope this helps.
Sorry but this heading on the last e-mail from Steve did not paste

I don't want people to think I'm posting bullsh$#@#. I was quite surprised in Steve's response to mine. He seemed a little upset that the chairman was selling as well. I take comfort in the fact that Mr Schneider is so easily accessible. As you can see from the times of the e-mails he got back to me almost immedietly. This appears to me that he is concerned with shareholders and any CEO that will take time out of his busy day to address an angry shareholders feelings can't be all that bad in my book. And like I said in the e-mail, I really believe in what ZAP is doing and also think it is the future!! Forward thinking people and businesses will always be rewarded. Now if we could just get G. Bush and his oil cronies out of power we'll be all set. I didn't care for Al Gore but i voted for him just on his green policies. When it came to the earth and the enviroment he was a forward thinker! Look back in time and think of how successful past forward thinking presidents and rulers of nations have been. Now think of the non-forward thinkers. Can you think of any non forward thinkers? Probably not, because no one talks about them due to their inability to have done anything significant!
A quote from a forward thinker.................
A nation that destroys it's soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.
Franklin D. Roosevelt
As far as DC not selling Smart in U.S.: It's a moot point starting 2007. With the importation of ZAP's OBVIO line coming then. I e-mailed the CEO of ZAP ( pasted at the bottom of this message). In my e-mail I offered a suggestion that ZAP not put all it's eggs in one basket ,so-to-speak, with Smart. He 100% agreed with me and basically said they weren't. In terms of styling and performance the OBVIO line is 1000% better than the Smart cars!!!I see good things for ZAP in the future.
E-mail below. I initially contacted ZAP about the chairman of the board selling shares and to say I was pissed off would be an understatement!!!
This e-mail is in regards to Mr Gary Starr.
Just a few comments I would like to make really:
I'd like to commend Mr Starr on showing his confidence in ZAP by selling 24700 shares the first sign of strength in the stock price. Do you think he could of at least waited a little bit longer? I mean the stock price finally gets over a dollar and Mr Starr comes out of the woodwork the next day and starts selling shares. It really gives me a wonderful feeling investing over $178,000.00 in ZAP stock knowing the first sign of some stock strength the insiders are going to start selling .
According to our CEO (through PR's) things at ZAP are really starting to happen. Am I missing something here? Shouldn't insiders buy their stock if the company is doing so great? Again, I would like to commend Mr Ebbers....er...ah...I mean Mr Starr on his vote of confidence in ZAP. ....... Bravo

Steven,
Thank you for your reply. It is frustrating when insiders start selling stock in their company when, it seems, momentum is starting to pick up. I think it sends a terrible message to Wall St and shareholders. I know Mr Starr has earned his shares and may do what he likes with them however I believe actions speak louder than words(or press releases).Like I said before, Mr Starr could of at least waited a week or two before he started selling. I also noticed that a secretary of the company exercised options for 75k. I wonder when that will be dumped?
I do believe in ZAP and also think electric/hybrid cars are the future, I've also been a conservationist my whole life. I whole heartedly believe that forward thinking companies are the key to the earths survival . I also like the direction that ZAP has taken over the past year and I commend you for your guidence in leading ZAP into the future. It was with that thinking that I decided to invest a substantial amount of my life savings in ZAP stock.
On another note I am very excited about the OBVIO line coming in 07. Is this still on track to happen as per your contract with OBVIO? Do you have any other prospects for importing/manufacturing different lines of vehicles? In my opinion ZAP should be concentrating on manufacturers other than Smart. If, or actually, WHEN DaimlerChrysler (it's just a matter of time) starts importing Smart Cars to the U.S. what then becomes of ZAP's business if 80% of revs are coming from the SmartCars? Why would anyone bother getting SmartCars from ZAP when Daimler could get it to dealers at a cheaper price? I also think SmartCar can't hold a candle to OBVIO in terms of styling.
I would like to thank you for your precious time and look forward to seeing big things from ZAP in the future. I know it is not feesible to prevent insiders from selling but it would be nice to know I invested in a company that breaks the stereo typical " Insiders always screw the shareholders" mantra.
Mark A Macrina
Mark,
I appreciate where you are coming from and I must say you are right on the money in every point you have made in your last email. Every one! The Obvio car is not only stylish but very advanced and affordable. I intend to put a lot of energy in the production of that car. You are 100% correct about the smart car too but there are some interesting possibilities with that car that I cannot share at this moment.
As far as Gary Starr selling his shares at this time I cannot agree with you more. This sends out a bad signal when the chairman starts selling at this juncture and he should know better. Its not like he needs the money.
It is letters like yours that assist me in the management of such matters. As far as the secretary exercising some of her employee stock options well at the moment she only makes a salary of I think 36k a year, she owns no stock .....and quite frankly she does need the money. There are many others that have worked long and hard that have recently done the same thing but it is very minor amounts and each and everyone of them have needed the money. I personally have never sold any of my stock nor do I plan too any time soon.
