I can understand Vic to want Lorne Abony in his team, Lorne has quite a network if I look at the many deals he made lately.
Don't bet the horse bet the jockey. Those are 2 fine jockeys to be sure.
Nuuvera can make a 30% gain on it's own in a month, furthermore it has the potential of being a multibagger this year alone.
This offer has little to get excited about after the Aurora-Cannimed figures $$$.
Nuuvera worth much more because of their international footprint among other things of value.
Whatever the Cannabis Act v.1 they come up with I hope it will have the merit of being clear for everybody.
Arguably Tragically Hip has some iconic stature in Canada. Won't hurt to sell a few buds but problem is we don't know yet the packaging, marketing and branding permitted by the coming Cannabis Act. Will they be an asset for Aurora's brand ? Be great but who knows.
It's actually hard to give it a value in negociations like this, without the law who knows if they would be even an asset for Aurora.
Canopy Growth CEO Bruce Linton said last summer that legally cannabis will land somewhere between tobacco and alcohol. If it's like what we have for cigarettes it might actually be a pretty restrictive law frame. We'll see.
At this point in time I think this is a sound hypothesis for what is going on with Isodiol's share price.
Me too I'm going to laugh when their bloated stock "tragically dips"

FREDERICTON — New Brunswick has signed a deal with a fourth company to supply marijuana for the province's recreational market.
The Liberal government says a memorandum of understanding has been signed with Nuuvera Inc. (TSXV:NUU)
The agreement was reached as the federal government prepares to legalize the recreational use of cannabis later this year.
On its website, the company says it will supply 2.5 million grams of cannabis and related products for the province's marijuana market.
Agreements have also been signed with three other producers: Organigram, Canopy Growth Corp. and Zenabis.
...
A multibagger hopefully

Being a canuck I am still learning the ins and outs of the american problematic when it comes to legalization. This news isn't what the US investors have been waiting for at the federal level, I hope it's in the cards for 2018 though.
Until then cannabis canadian companies will be happy with monies coming from our southern neighbours.
Cheers !
The link pointing to the article called "Congress Did Not Legalize Medical Marijuana" is obsolete though since it is dated 2015 as far as I can see.
Senate has to approve the law first, it looks good for July 2018 but a delay is not impossible at this point.
So true, I was wondering the same thing when I saw it, hopefully we'll get an answer.
Senate has to approve it first before it becomes law. Not a given even though it looks good.
They may ask for legalization to be postponed a bit to give more time to police and justice to be better prepared for example.
I guess ultimately it boils down to how shareholders will vote on both deals, the Newstrike deal vote being the first scheduled of the two.
"Completion of the Arrangement is subject to the approval of shareholders of both companies at special meetings of the shareholders of each company. Newstrike will require the approval of 66 2/3 per cent of the shareholders that vote, by person or in proxy at the meeting, as well as a simple majority of the shareholders that vote, by person or in proxy, at the meeting, excluding certain insiders. CanniMed will require the approval of a simple majority of the shareholders that vote, by person or in proxy, at the meeting. Both companies will be communicating the timing and conduct of those meetings which are expected to be scheduled for early January 2018. Closing of the transaction is anticipated to occur in January 2018."

First time I see a poison pill in action (the conditional deal with Newstrike).
Is there a chance this pill creates real damage in due time ?
I presume the devil is in the details but I would not know how to interpret them. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

A good point Babydean, there is dilution noone can't deny that.
On the other hand if they manage to create value with the money and you are long on the stock you may consider their new Aurora Sky facility (the largest cannabis facility in the world, located next to the Edmonton airport so big big ease for shipping... like Amazon) , their partnership with an extracting company called Radient Technologie (cannabis oil is HOT STUFF), their parnership with Hempco, their important position in the German medical cannabis market, their agressive management and positioning.
Essentially at this point in time they are among a handfull of cannabis company big enough to be able to claim that sky is the limit for them in term of international sales both for medical and recreational.
Correct me if I am wrong but no american company as we speak has such a clear path in from of them.
Hope that helps.
Did you do your homework and look for counter arguments too ? If so what makes you hesitate to start a position in Aurora let's say ?
Strong support level I would say somewhere between 0.30 and 0.40.
Holiday season is around the cornor, people will pay their credit card after, potential breaking news from InMed are not likely at this stage of their evolution, chances are good entry points might be possible during the winter.
Good question ! My take on it is that Cannimed is big enough and ready "out of the box" to occupy drugstore shelf space in what is obviously a race against time to occupy them to become the stapple the general public will recognize tomorrow. Shelf space to be occupied not just in Canada but in Germany also, that's a 80 millions people right there.
Cannimed is not about patents it's more about plain agriculture, all the big lps are building new facilities but they are not ready yet and will be up to speed in only a year or two, that's a long time in a racing context.
Cannimed also got a good customer base for medical cannabis, this must have been a factor too, they offer cannabis oil which is a hot product and will be from this point.
For 2018 my expectations are pretty limited for InMed. 90+ cannabinoid patent will take time, building the scaled up manufacture will take time and so will the deployment of phase 1 for their EB drug.
For 2018 my hope is their stock to go back to 0.40 or even less so I can backup the truck and load some more at will during the year.
This stock is one or two major news away from leaving the launch pad after which it will be much much more expensive to take or increase a position on.
For quicker potential for explosive growth for 2018 there are other candidates in the cannabis space: Aurora, Canopy Growth and Lexaria to name a few.
With InMed I think we all agree patience will be rewarded handsomely. Shorters, please help yourself and make InMed cheaper so in due time I can retire earlier and stop working for idiots !
I hope the stock goes back to support line so we can load up some more... k-ching !
Aurora's management team is incredible, they are on their way to build the Amazon of cannabis.
