It is better to fail at originality than to succeed at imitation?
1. So quoting sayings is original? 2. If you are imitating someone that has consistently supported vision through the thick and thin, which of you has been a wet paper airplane? Succeeding at imitation is all in the choices of what you are imitating.
"When the mind is weak, circumstances become a problem. When the mind is stable, circumstances become a challenge. When the mind is strong, circumstances become opportunities."
You've got problems.
Webslinger:
Why didn't you say that when you supposedly understood what Jon was talking about, when you saw what it takes in the 2 & 4 strain graphic they issued?
Do you think China does it differently, when they sell substandard eggs to Vietnam? They are hybrids and won't breed true either. This is what it takes to make large, robust silkworm colonies with high survival numbers, good to great quality silk, and lots of it....while remaing in control of the hybrids.
If you think it is screwed up, then run. I'll wait for the endgame, with or without those that don't understand how it is done.
As if we need more reminders that you don't know what you're talking about.
"As much as 50% of losses in global silk production are the result of a single virus. Up to 75% of all silk producers have reported losses from this virus, according to a 2020 research paper. These losses account for millions and potentially billions of dollars of lost economic production each year. Often found in soil and plants - quickly spread and with no effective treatment – this virus can be devastating to small and large producers alike. With this announcement, Kraig Labs is creating a solution for the global $14B silk market."
The facts agree with you. Most of the worlds silk producers have big issues with disease. Make sure you get facts that back up opinions. Everyone has an opinion, but too few know what they are talking about. So many bubbles for folks to entrench themselves. Now if facts are presented, then we are the ones in a bubble. KBLB gave us the production facts, at least on a single virus. Our solution is for the entire silk market. It seems they have successfully found a solution for the entire silk market. Now who wants to license it? I'm sure Vietnam and India, and any others that have stepped up, will benefit.
Spiber and the others better get as much financing as they can right now.
When the graph he posts of competitors was made, they all planned on moving forward with spider silk. Now for the most part, they aren't. Tru(ism) is attempting to put a square peg in a circular hole. Humans can adapt, unless they choose not to.
...to be clear, hopefully the parental strains perform as well as the hybrids.
Patrick, you've a mind that tends to be overly concerned and fearful. He is doing what he should be doing, learning as much about every aspect of the company, and doing business. It is also important to Vietnam.
He wasn't needed over there to discover past issues.
If Lam Dong were the only tea leaf you had to read, it would be enough. It was a good trip guaranteed. KBLB has something(s) they want, even if it is India stepping up to help Vietnam with egg production. See some of the tea leaves yet? Countries stepping up are probably more than tea leaves.
Silence during talks and negotiations with India would be expected, but they haven't been silent either.
