Volume...........
My shares finally showed up. Wonder if the price stays firm today.
At the moment standards are 135 degrees ambient. Gear is designed to work at that with heat sinks and fans built in to keep the optics working within their temp range. On some devices (just an example) only 2 of 8 optical ports get designed for that units highest rate to keep cost down. Of course there are other devices that are not engineered to cost but performance these cost more and are usually kept in "data centers" that have over abundant cooling to the point of wearing a jacket in July. If you ever open one up and examine it you will find those 2 ports with much more robust cooling. All about cost per unit really.
Sometimes on these press releases the use of "data center" and "AI" to me seem to be more in tune with sales jargon and "catchy sales phrases" more than the technical issues.
Possibly one more offering to bring their ownership closer to 80%? The question is does leaving this publicly traded give the company a mechanism to help ensure a positive regulatory environment? How much would projected output exceed the company's projected internal needs and would it be in their legal best interest to sell directly to their competition?
Lots of questions.
Just sticking around to see how it ends...
Still nothing. Curious if my brokerage did a boboo.
I would love to see some good long term reliability data.
I think the battery in Robins Jitterbug has gone bad and it only works on the charger now.
Why is there no solid date for the rights offering?
So here is the shift in view. This is was about 3 years ago and it appears Ted has caught up to that point. Baby steps.
Maybe be a funding requirement to ensure majority ownership is maintained domestically.
Just say no to multimode. At this point Multimode exists just to give IT departments the opportunity to order the incorrect type of fiber hand off.
"You are aware this is a multimode 850 handoff,"
😐️
"Ok then, good luck."
Eh, sounds good in theory but I have doubts that a 1 gigabit port on a Ciena is only speed limited due to lack of a heat sink. I would think the integral chipset and motherboard design is also in play. Since some of these in some networks have been in service for 5 plus years. Of course I have never paid attention to model versions just the models... Hmmm.
For a lot of us that is the million plus dollar question.
20 gig is the new 1 gig and dark fiber leasing enables quicker migration to even higher speeds..... I am curious to the specs on a terabit fiber, guessing they need some very clean welding.
No one really cares about "energy usage", kinda in line with "Carbon credits" in that it is a fiction to justify a platform.
The real take away from lower energy usage is in less heat dissipation requirements and the benefit lower cooling requirements provide in form factor and packaging in relation to speed. No one looks at that power bill as honestly the saving will be similar to a rounding error on some bean counters ledger and the operating cost is already covered in the current tax setup.
Just an opiniion.
Time to break out the paddle.
I don't have any words,,
Water is wet.
Makes me happy I only dumped half at $1.45. Playing with house money makes one much more patient.
Talk like a Pirate
Heh, as a penny long...
I think you are a bit off in this assessment.
Moving from one architecture to the next is a time consuming and tedious process. I would not even expect to hear of field trials until next summer after labs prove out and designs start dropping that integrate with existing structure.
Any day now, big news......Soon.
Ahh, the good ol days of fruitless trips to India on the shareholders dime. Got some great photos with the jitterbug.....
Uggg, why did I even bother reading the Q. All they need is roughly 10 to 12 million to get the test plant running and settle salaries before their property lease runs out in April..
Easy.
This board.....
Volume just screams "winner"
Bet you a can of fruit salad it is either right here or lower.....
Nope, just going to sit back and enjoy.
Check out the new Digs..

Has that new car smell....
Put in a board and ticker changed request.
What is this CNBC you are referring to?
"This question was bought to you by phizer."
My frame of reference is only with that I work with on a daily basis. Not much 850 out there anymore and when it does pop up it causes a double take. "Are you sure you want that?"
