Yep! The Acuity deal and other news are bringing interest and $
This new deal with Acuity has lots of substance, because it implies that Sayona is not only serious about producing Spodumene next year, but it also provides extra cash to get carbonate/hidroxide rolling, which is where the big money will be. The move suggests that they want to get that first refinery built so they take advantage of the favorable prices and get some independence from Piedmont or arrange a new deal. It make take some time for the market to digest the news, but I think it will eventually, specially with the implied/potential pricing of $0.8 Aussie per share.
Please share if there are other insights or any negatives. Thanks

CYDY holding strong and more to come during power hour!
Please remember to vote.
CYDY LONG!
Another great start this morning, and it will hopefully get better in the afternoon. > $1+ clearly within sight.
Please remember to vote!
I voted today. Please don’t forget to vote.
CYDY LONG AND STRONG!
I have not posted here for some time, but I still have all my shares plus a few more after accumulation. It is a matter of time, but Sayona will deliver!
GLTAH
Excellent post, thanks!
Makes me feel almost sorry for the shorties….
Great price action over the last couple of days and much more to come. I am glad that most longs have remained faithful, and I still have my shares. Not bad for being just “saline water”.
GLTAH!
I am glad that I accumulated. I hope we get more good announcements to continue the rally (e.g.,, Authier).
Excellent results with end points met. Partnership for next trial is coming.
CYDY LONG!
I have done exactly that. I may not post here much, but I still have my shares. CYDY LONG!
Same here!
The future is almost here…!
I added more this morning.
You are preaching to the choir as I am not selling my shares and continue to add. I went through this several years ago. However, there may be some that get nervous. Mine is just a warning not to fall for it.
…and yes, they need some premium Kush or something stronger.
Livent followed the recent announcements of ALB, AKE and others as the latest producer that reported very good results, and its stock is rising by over 20% today. This shows that the fundamentals of the lithium sector remain as strong as ever and will continue for a good while, and this will be good for Sayona and others.
I see Sayona’s current dip as just another buying opportunity to add, and the stock should bounce soon. At the same time, it is very important for the managers to execute on a long list of items. They need to deliver on the DFS, financing, partnerships, offtake agreements, new drilling, revised resource estimates and eventually production. If they do, without major mistakes or delays, we will be at a much higher level by the end of the year, but they shouldn’t screw around and execute properly. The Quebec government, which doesn’t have the best track record based on past actions, must show that it is going to help Sayona. I am confident that everything will work out, but I also plan to follow closely.
One more thing to be aware of are BS articles that try to affect the stock. For example, I saw one recently in Yahoo about AKE, and there will be others. They typically include no research and are a clear attempt by brokerage houses, shorters or bigger fish (maybe Elon, China or other prospective buyers) to lower the stock price. I recommend to pay no attention, and to follow your plan and research.
GLTAH, DYOR and Sayona Long!
I wish we had found support in the low to mid $0.2s, but we may see the teens. At the same time, this dip offers opportunities to add. Let’s hope for a nice rebound soon.
Long Sayona!
I have never owned it either, but it is a very good stock as it is important to own Junior producers who are benefiting from the high prices. In my case, my junior producer is Allkem with Sayona and LAC hopefully joining the club soon.
Good luck to all Pilbara investors here!
Yes, it is always best to show the poker face and don’t show one’s cards/bids.
LOL!
This is much better than my back of the napkin estimates. These geologists earn their pay!
Thanks!
Here is a very rough comparison of two hypothetical holes of different qualities and thicknesses to estimate the tons of lithium oxide (Li2O) in each:
1) Hole 1: Assume it is 40 m thick vertically, contains 1.5% Li2O on average and has an average bulk density of 1.6 metric tons per cubic meter (I am using bulk density instead of actual particle density which is probably around 2.7 metric tons per cubic meter)
Tons/square meter = 40 m x 0.015 x 1.6 = 0.96 tons per horizontal square meter over the 40 m thick hole.
2) Hole 2: Assume 10 m, 1% and the same bulk density of 1.6
Hole 2 = 10 x 0.01 x 1.6 = 0.16 tons per square meter over hole thickness
You can see from this example that Hole 1 contains 6 times more Li2O. What is missing is the incorporation of the entire horizontal surface area of the resource (e.g., Moblan). This is why I recently mentioned the importance of the third hole listed in the report, which should provide results and hopefully evidence of connectivity with the two initial holes. In reality, they will need many holes from the 4600 m drill effort to properly construct a 3D map of the results and to determine the boundaries of cutoff concentration that establishes the economically viable resource (typically 0.3% or as determined by the experts). Once the company has the results from all holes, it will use Kriging type interpolations/extrapolations to map the results in 3D and determine a new ton estimate of the Moblan resource. This will hopefully tell us that there is a sh*t-lot more lithium than initially thought.
Please remember that these calculations are only a hypothetical example to provide a rough idea of how the quality of the drill hole can impact the resource estimate. I also welcome comments or corrections if you find any errors.
Thanks and DYOR
We still need to wait for many more drill holes since the 2 holes only represent about 80+ m out of 4600 m that are planned for drilling, but yes I would agree that Sayona’s results are superior. In addition to the concentrations, the vertical (although slanted) thickness of our holes is around 45 m, compared with much less for PLL, plus our lithium starts at almost the surface, while theirs has more overburden so it should be more expensive to extract. I did not do a thorough review of the other companies you posted, but I suspect that the previous reasons and better strip ratios can be used to conclude that Moblan is top notch.
The September 2021 Moblan acquisition presentation stated that it is ….”one of the highest-grade deposits in Québec and North America”
I am no expert, but I would tend to trust their expertise. We just need to wait for all the drill holes.
IMHO, DYOR, etc., plus a good weekend to all!
I am interested in the upcoming results for hole 1331-22-138 shown in the announcement and others later. If this hole is successful, it will imply that the resource area is wider, which will help extrapolate results to a larger area/volume. This will ultimately help with the resource estimate that will probably come next year. Concentrations are very important, but so is the overall area/volume. For example, NAL’s past results showed fingers/lenses, which was not that great compared to say Authier’s results, but I think that new explorations at NAL will also show much better results.
I don’t mind getting these updates while we wait for the DFS and other goodies.
Fast indeed!
I finally bought 15k more shares at $0.2424. I will buy more if the gaps below decide to fill.
I am definitely not an expert and I have based my comments on my very basic experience in reading and trying to interpret drill efforts by other companies in the past (e.g., Sayona, GXY, PLS, NAL, Altura). Nevertheless, the numbers you shared also look very good as concentrations are high and they are also more advanced in their drilling campaign. Anything exceeding 1% is usually good, while numbers under 0.5% are typically not that great economically, but this could change if lithium prices stay high or other factors. I also do not know if there are other impurities or features that are relevant at the site. Also, the numbers are from much deeper areas than Sayona’s, which may imply that they may need to dig a lot more in order to find the lithium.
In contrast, Sayona’s results indicate plenty of lithium right at the surface, which is why we often see photos with white lithium outcrops at the surface. I look forward to the 50+ Sayona holes coming after these first two.
Please take this as an uneducated first impression with all the typical qualifiers that go with it like DYOR, etc. Good luck
The reported concentrations are excellent. I am used to see numbers in the low 1% or slightly below. Anything above 1.5% or approaching 2% is excellent. The 4% number is like a meteorite from another planet , plus there are more drill holes coming and resource estimate will get bigger.
The market has not digested this yet, but it will…
It is nice to see that you and many other longs are still here.
CYDY long and strong!
I am happy that I still have shares. Best to all here!
It is expected any day, but it could take longer. It is possible that the company may be spending extra time trying to make better projections of lithium prices for the estimates and other project details. This is fine by me.
I am in the same boat. I have another buy order hoping for a small dip to one of the lower gaps, but no luck so far. I could still happen, but it is also nice to see the SP consolidating in the mid $0.2s.
Nice announcement just when it looked like it was going to retrace. The Aussie market reacted well to it immediately and we should see the same here tomorrow. Just think of when we get major announcements like the DFS!
The consolidation just occurred, so I think it is too early to discern much movement, but go ahead and add one magnet or two….
This thing is a resilient beast!
Yes, meaningful news would certainly help.
It is a temporary glitch due to the transition, which happens often. It may also take several days for some of us to see the correct amount of new shares and/or price in our brokerage accounts, plus trading may also be delayed. I understand that people get nervous about this, but it will be sorted out soon.
I missed the opportunity to buy at or just below $0.21 this morning, darn! My order was a bit below and it never filled. I guess I will have to wait for another opportunity. Any news on Moblan, DFS, etc. may bring us up, which is just fine with me. Sayona is a win-win!
They said “on or about April 11”, so it could be after market closes today or any day this week, unless there is a glitch in the approval or it gets rejected.
I will not be surprised if there is a big dip after the event, but most important thing for me at this point is execution. The stock will do well if the company does what it promises in a timely manner. Otherwise, we may drop some more….
18 shares of current stock per 1 share of new so that the new SP will be around $4.5US. This will be one of the prerequisites to uplist.
Just remember that a 18-1 reverse split is coming. I may buy more after the RS. My current shares are divisible by 18, which does not really matter but I just don’t like fractional shares.
