<< Where are the trees in this picture??? >>
Great question
VIETNAM IS A BUST!
To me, it looks like KBLB is aborting Vietnam. They seemed to hint at this in their latest newsletter when they said:
SilkRoad:
Excellent post.
I have one minor correction...
According to official county documents (from Limestone County, TX), the property is about 15 acres. It has an assessed value of about $71,000 (yet Kim is charging KBLB over $92,000 for an 8-year lease - and I am sure that he will continue to charge them after the 8 year lease is up).
One thing that I find very curious is that KBLB planted 2000 mulberry trees on that property in Mar 2017, and they were supposed to harvest them in the Fall 2017, but we never heard anything about that. It makes me wonder, what happened?
I forgot to add that they spend about $300,000 / month, the CEO pays himself over $300,000 / year, he gives himself a raise every year, and he gets a 20% bonus every year (that is in addition to the 100s of millions of shares of stock that he has given himself).
He also bought land that he leases back to the company (for a profit).
I figured that might be important to you since you are a financial analyst.
KBLB has been around for at least 10 years. In all of that time, they haven't been able to produce a single product.
In Jun 2016, they were awarded a contract with the Army (for about $100,000). That is when the stock price shot up (but ever since then it has plummeted). They were supposed to deliver a few sample shootpacks to the Army by Apr 2017 (10 months later). They missed the deadline and blamed it on another company (their reeler). The Army was then gracious enough to give them another 8 months (until Dec 2017). But they missed that delivery as well. They again blamed it on another company (Warwick Mills). Here we are almost 2 years since they were awarded the contract, and they still haven't delivered anything (not even a few sample shootpacks).
Along the way, the Army received a few fibers from them and they tested them. They must have liked them enough, because the Army then decided to execute the 12-month optional phase of the contract (worth about $900,000) in Aug 2017, which requires KBLB to create custom spider silk (to certain specs). The delivery is due Aug 2018, but they have already started making excuses about how the specs for their worms are out of range and needs to be corrected.
IMO, the only thing this company produces is hope. Every PR and newsletter is filled with forward-looking statements. And nothing is ever produced. It is always "almost there".
As I stated yesterday, a purchase order is NOT a sale.
The sale posted today:
"Arrayit sales and marketing team reports $17,900 microarray instrument sale to leading life sciences distributor E-Biogen Inc headquartered in Seoul South Korea and serving the growing East Asia research and healthcare markets http://www.e-biogen.com"

A purchase order is for a possible FUTURE sale. That sale could be months (or even years) away. And it is NOT a guaranteed sale.
It could be a purchase order for something that is no longer carried, in stock, or manufactured. It could be for a quantity that the company would not be able to deliver on. It could be for some new piece of tech that hasn't even been created yet.
There are many reasons why a purchase order is NOT equal to a sale.
Dude, a "purchase order confirmation and ship date request" are NOT a sale
I read all of today's Twitter tweets a few times.
There was only 1 sale for $1,000
If you know of anymore, then post a link
<< I just cannot justify or understand why anyone would be selling >>
The real question is why would anyone NOT be selling?
This company has done absolutely NOTHING in 10 years (except make promises and take your money)!
The USDA owns that patent.
Arrayit has exclusive rights to commercialization.
I'll bet that Kim Thompson and Joe Noel were stock trading buddies back in the day.
Which will be followed by Even Less News Thursday... :)
I believe that one of our IH board members bought a few million shares.
Or FOURTH, KBLB hasn't provided MARD the required documentation (which is actually what was stated in the meeting notes from the Oct 2017 meeting).
and that is exactly why I call this company a scam
Great post
"It is the first case worldwide in which transgenic silkworms will be raised in an ordinary silkworm farm instead of in closed systems such as laboratories."
This is the crux of the issue in Vietnam. It will also be the issue ANYWHERE else KBLB desires to go.
Governments are NOT going to let a foreign company come into their country with a genetically modified animal without proper testing and paperwork.
KBLB has failed to provide the proper paperwork to Vietnam (probably because they can't obtain it).
For those of you that think that Vietnam is coming soon, or that another country is going to approve them immediately, you are dreaming.
OvaDX is touted as one of ARYC's products on this board.
But it looks like OvaDX is owned by Avant Diagnostics, and Avant Diagnostics was sold to American Liberty Petroleum Corp back in 2014/2015:
http://www.arrayit.com/Arrayit_Corporation_ARYC_Corpo/Microarray_Media_-_Press/Arrayit_Corporation_Subsidiary/arrayit_corporation_subsidiary_avant_diagnostics-_inc__acquired_.html
Does ARYC still have any ownership of Avant Diagnostics or OvaDX?
Please provide links to any and all information...
<< But also here is a possibility that Arrayit is in the process of the bankruptcy already. >>
Bankruptcy is a matter of public record. So if a company files for bankruptcy, then we would know about it.
10K annual report is due around end of March.
Last year it came out 22 Mar. In 2016 it came out 30 Mar. In 2015 it came out 31 Mar.
My guess is that they will wait until the very last moment - after hours on 30 Mar (which is a Friday).
It sounds like they are working with actual spiders. In the paper, they compare how spider silk and Kevlar are processed:
KBLB DOWN 3% TODAY & 7% FOR WEEK SO FAR
Shareholders believe newsletter was a BUST. Just more forward-looking statements. The same-old, same-old.
KBLB has been on a downward trend for about a year. In that time, it has lost about 50% of its value.
There has been absolutely NO news in the past year to turn this sinking ship around. And there isn't any news on the horizon.
The only thing KBLB sells is HOPE. Take your hope and put it somewhere deserving.
There is another company in Vietnam called KBL. They are a headhunting firm.
It is entirely possible that the meeting was with the headhunting company and not with KBLB.

Please provide links.
<< I still don’t think it changes the significance of the meeting. >>
It was a local meeting at the provincial level. Not much significance to that (in the grand scheme of getting Vietnam approval).
They need to submit ALL of the documents requested (which it seems they don't even have yet) and have a meeting with MARD.
TRUTH: Thanks for confirming the translation.
<< Looks like your translation is incorrect. Line 5 plainly has KBL in it. Your translation clearly says only mulberry trees discussed. >>
Sorry, but you are completely wrong.
The TWO translations I provided (one from Google Translate and the other from Bing Translate) BOTH have KBL in the translation:
Google Translate to English:
16h L/v with KBL on hi-tech mulberry project
Bing Translate to English:
16h L/v with Compact KBL on Mulberry high technology project
I even provided a link to the Google Translation where you can see the translation for yourself:
https://translate.google.com/#auto/en/16h%20L%2Fv%20v%E1%BB%9Bi%20Cty%20KBL%20v%E1%BB%81%20d%E1%BB%B1%20%C3%A1n%20d%C3%A2u%20t%E1%BA%B1m%20c%C3%B4ng%20ngh%E1%BB%87%20cao
I would have also provided a link to the Bing translation, but I couldn't find a way to do that.
I am not sure how you arrived at that translation, but here are translations from Google Translate and Bing Translate:
Google Translate to English:
16h L/v with KBL on hi-tech mulberry project
(https://translate.google.com/#auto/en/16h%20L%2Fv%20v%E1%BB%9Bi%20Cty%20KBL%20v%E1%BB%81%20d%E1%BB%B1%20%C3%A1n%20d%C3%A2u%20t%E1%BA%B1m%20c%C3%B4ng%20ngh%E1%BB%87%20cao)
Bing Translate to English:
16h L/v with Compact KBL on Mulberry high technology project
So that simply seems to be a calendar schedule for a meeting that was scheduled on 12 Dec 2017 between the local province (Quang Nam) and KBLB in regards to a "high-tech mulberry project". Since it was a meeting with the local province (who doesn't have much authority), it couldn't have been important (in the grand scheme of getting KBLB into Vietnam). I find it very interesting that they are calling it a "mulberry project" and not a "silkworm project".
16h seems to be the time of day (4:00 pm) that the meeting was scheduled.
<< And meetings have followed since October. >>
That seems to be a rumor.
If you have any evidence of that, please provide.
OK, thanks.
I see that KBLB prepared the biosafety documents and sent them to the State Dept (in May 2016), but I don't see that they ever got them back.
"Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. (OTCQB: KBLB) (“Kraig”), the leading developer of spider silk based fibers, today announced that it has completed the biosafety and project risk assessment for its planned operations and subsidiary in Vietnam. These documents were prepared in response to a request from the Vietnamese government to help them better understand the new technology the Company plans to introduce. The Company is now waiting for document processing by the U.S. State Department and expects to send these documents to officials in Vietnam shortly."
Since Vietnam was still asking for them in Oct 2017, it looks like they never got them back from the State Dept.
"A representative from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) has received a dossier from Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. (USA) for the project to import and produce genetically modified silkworms (spider silkworms). After considering the dossier, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development found that the dossier was missing: (1) The biosafety certificate granted for the gene transfer event to the silkworm variety meeting the requirements in Article 22, Article 23 Decree 69/2010 / ND-CP dated 21 June 2010 of the Government on management of biological safety of genetically modified organisms. (2) License for use of genetically modified (AI) silkworms in US Department of Agriculture (USDA) mass production."
So (after a year and a half) it seems that they are still waiting on the docs.
KBLB DOWN ANOTHER 4%
It looks like shareholders didn't like the newsletter that much.
<< ARYC'S tweeted daily sales are running at about $6K to $8K a day. Given there are 250 business days in the year, even daily sales of $10K amounts to a paltry $2.5 million annual sales. >>
Sorry, but that is incorrect.
I have been tracking tweeted daily sales this year and they are currently running at $13,609 / day (and I don't remove weekends, holidays, etc). That puts them on track for $4.139 million this year. That # should increase over the next few months (since the beginning of January is usually a slow month for most businesses - everyone is just coming back from the holidays).
Those #s don't include large multi-year sales that occurred over the last few years. It also doesn't include smaller sales (since it seems that ARYC doesn't post sales under a few $1,000).
So my guess is that they are on track for $5-10 million this year.
Being that the market cap on this stock is < $8 million, the stock price is extremely low right now.
<< Kbl sent bio-safety and risk assessment docs to USDA in 2016... >>
I would greatly appreciate if you would provide evidence for that statement. I don't see anything listed in these forums or on the KBLB website that discusses the USDA at all.
