Wow smart kids, you should be proud. Yea they shouldn't have much trouble repaying those loans with an engineering degree. At least they arent paying that amount for a women's studies degree...hard to pay a $100k loan on a burger flipper's salary.
They can always take out student loans, you can never makeup the lost investment opportunity. Thats how my wife and i see it. If we can pay for college if and when the time comes, we might but not at the cost of our retirement!
That said - i dont mean to tell you how to spend your money, just playing the little red man on your shoulder.
I meant MA price where the MAs will intersect but now that i look at it more it would be difficult to predict
Interesting thanks for sharing. Do you know at which proce the golden cross will occur?
I didnt read sarcasm in that response. Besidea, we need to save our animosity for honeybuns69 and dyke2, they need their daily validation.
I think CUTIGER was referencing the fact that they are both sibmitted as class II devices and thus face the same general hurdles for clearance.
I'd like to introduce you to the concept of the period. It's that little dot thing that people use to separate thoughts. Give it a go sometime!
Titan medical gets "market approval" (not to be confused with fda premarket approval):

Correction: 5M shares / vol
Previously i would have said flash, but when you look at the synergies coming together over the last few months which are driving up the price, it seems like go time. McNally has continually shown more and more surgeons are on board and they are the ones who spur demand for the product once commercially available. Exceeds expectations, the future of robotic surgery, optimal cosmesis. Granted this is by surgeons on titans surgeon advisory board, but the surgeon private investment last week was huge. Many more are gaining exposure through the two placements and it shows...yhe volume today was over $5M earlier...more than its been in a long while. There will be many more ups and downs until commercialization but it seems the trend will continue upward on good news.
Congrats EIT, heres to much more of the same!
I was in the green friday - this reversal of fortunes feels great. I hope all can say the same soon. Great job McNally, keep it coming!
If isrg wanted to buy sport, i doubt they would have just sunk all that capital into developing SP.
That's encouraging. I dont know what they were thinking, splitting it out to 3 platforms...crowding the surgical field...that is a step backward. They also do a poor job of highlighting any features or benefits of the system....where's the innovation?
The upside of this could be that it drives up the demand for a legitimate alternate like sport.
Savy surgeons who are paying attentiom will notice the difference. But word of mouth is powerful when you trust someone. Of course they are different, its just worrysome that the first competitor put the gate is like the chuk-e-cheese of surgical robots. Or maybe its the gigl of robots.
Allow me to posit a thought experiment.
I know a surgeon who has already requested a senhance. I think a lot may adopt it soon because they are sick of intuitive. Only to find out "hey this sucks - davinci was a better platform."
With senhance ahead of us by 2 years, this may create many a bad taste in surgeon's mouths, lending to an attitude of "anything not davinci is a cheap knockoff just stick with the tried and true."
This is one potential downside to senhance paving the way for us; they deflate the "burgeoning frontier" of robotic surgery as just hype...?
Obviously sport offers something that davinci and senhance do not. I believe it has great potential and is a superior offering. And there's no telling what may come. At least senhance will make our fda process easier.
I would be pleasantly shocked if this news lifted us to $.40 range next week. I would not bet on it though. What about you long timers do you recall good news for TRXC translating to positive impact on TITXF share price historically? How likely do you think it is to push us upward versus downward?
Thank you Toby
Fingers crossed! Flenderson or glg or someone in the fold...do you think we will see any news in the next couple weeks?
It was nice to get that glimmer of hope again when the recent news actually poisitvely impacted price. You're right though, until our feet are anchored with regulatory approval we're strapped in for the proverbial roller coaster ride
Titan is like Yellowstone, we know she's gonna blow we just dont know when!
at least if it swings back its a buy opportunity!
We could use some news. Volume low and movement is flat so far today
I loaded up in spring when it was $.25 i thought it was rock bottom. Boy was i wrong
Less assholes
I think thats optimistic...most hospitals or ASCs dont have $1.5M hanging around waiting for new toys. Surgeons have to make the case to administration who, if approved, then must add to the existing capital budget for likely the next fiscal year- and despite being added it may not receive priority, especially if they already own a davinci. Since we are not the first player I think adoption will take time. The ones who may buy early are the ones for whom it did not make sense to already buy a robot for financial or practical reasons. But who knows if there's enough surgeons fired up about it who will push their leadership for it, or one or two large systems who want to buy multuple units up front, we may meet or beat that 12.
Nice. I hate everything about the way you choose to be. My wife and I border on absurdity with our office quoting. Probably seen the whole series at least 20x its what we usually watch during dinner..
Would prefer $10+ per share, would prefer not to accept below $5. Really and truly though, we will probably just have to take what we are given when the time comes, if we are lucky enough to make it that far! Fun to anticipate but we're still not out of the woods yet, many things could still go wrong as some have noted.
!!! I knew there was something updated on morningstar on the 9th. Morningstar officially shows TITXF as "undervalued" !!!
This is a link to the morningstar pdf analysis:

According to morningstar, another fund has picked up shares of the mighty titey! :
Dynamic Venture Opportunities Sr II.
Should we be concerned that the contact for that pr firm is Mark Twain?
My mistake, I assumed since you were inquiring on how to go about it you weren't as sophisticated a trader to know about currency arbitrage...not that I'm that sophisticated...I always guess wrong about currency swings so I avoid them at this point. I know about these things just don't practice them. Best of luck to you, let us know what you find out.
I'm going to go out on a limb and venture your broker. ywia
But seriously, if you are a us citizen why do you want to convert your currency to CAD buy shares? Unless TSX takes euro dollars? You'd have to convert it back and will necessarily lose money in the transaction in both directions.
Makes sense about the training. I think the broad indication path is the smarter way to go.
I agree with your assessment, it ultimately better to have broad indications approved. But I wonder what was the rationale behind a single indication submission? Since surgeons may take the liberty to use off label, do you think they anticipated a quicker FDA approval as single indication, then surgeons could just use as needed on other procedures?
Do you think today we entered a C pattern, and will close towards $.30?
Question for the day traders : approaching market open, when the bid is greater than previous day's close, does that necessarily signal an upward trend for the current day?
I agree, and I watch like a hawk - I've sold at spikes for a healthy profit and re-entered when it fell, so I'm always looking for such opportunities. And of course It depends on your personal strategy but what I meant was don't let the daily price fluctuations harm your outlook. If you are long there should be no reason to fret, even if you miss a good entry price; it will be irrelevant if your horizon is many years from now. I'm passive now because my cost is $0.3037 and I don't have any powder, the wife put a stop to that.
It's easy to become neurotic watching the price minute by minute. Intraday price and I would argue price generally, is not important if you are long. what's important is the fact that Titan has a strong and innovative offering which is plowing forward toward commercialization at unprecedented speed. We have good long term prospects, so I agree yes we should step back and take a deep breath. Just have to grin and bear the ups and downs. Probably healthy to tune out for prolonged periods if you aren't planning on placing an order soon.
