Just came across this index of ancillary companies in the cannabis industry and Cresco labs is listed as part of the index. Finally getting some more coverage!
https://www.newcannabisventures.com/featured-companies/
This company was originally a cannabis company, offering real estate services to the cannabis industry. They have recently divested all of their cannabis holdings and are focusing on fin tech and have bought two companies which they will then turn them into profitable enterprises and then sell them.
GRWC finally out of the red for my investment anyway. Even though they are divesting out of cannabis and into fintech, they are still moving up with the cannabis stocks as of late. Looking forward to earnings report this quarter showing For bombshell technologies and the public employees retirement fund they also bought.
Could Cresco labs be a millionaire maker stock? I think so!

This article from Motley Fool is very optimistic for Cresco Labs. Let's hope it continues to rise now that the ER is finally out.

positive press from the ER.

I think the quarterly earnings are out on the 19th of November, if they do like last year. Hoping to hear some news as it's been very quiet since the new CEO is there. They are also moving out of the cannabis sector and into the Fin-tech sector where they have significant experience. Hoping the share price stays above 1$ as well.
Looking forward to see Grow Capital's earnings and results of recent acquisitions of Public Employees retirement fund. Also, there doesn't seem to be any press about the new CEO, as Bonnette has now moved to Bombshell technologies to ramp up their sales.
Reverse split complete. Had seen another press release about another company they are buying, but can't find it now. I think this stock holds promise, as they just bought Bombshell Technologies, and the Public Employees Retirement fund. It's just a matter of time before they start turning a profit. Plus, the reverse split gets them above $1/share which is better for investors.
Did you buy them with bitcoin? Really excited about the fact they will be bought/sold in bitcoin. Where can I find out which brokerages are dealing in bitcoin?
Thanks!
How so?
Hi, new to this, can you explain to me how this would work for blockchain tech? I would be buying their stock in bitcoin, so since it's a currency, if Bitcoin increases, even if the stock stays the same, my investment would increase, right?
Why don't you post the actual PDFs so people can make their own judgements, or maybe you work for Pacer, so you get a commission on their "free" trial!
Personally, I think the Herbalogix brand has a lot more potential. They have created a CBD product line, stripped out 100% of the THC, so it can be sold GLOBALLY. This is a good revenue generator potential for Futureland, just like all the others, they need positive publicity, which is hard to get these days.

Interview with Dusty Lashbrook, Futureland Corp Advisory Board Member
I recently caught up with Dusty Lashbrook, who agreed to divulge his extensive financial back-ground and reasons for sitting on the board of Futureland Corp (FUTL), a Florida-based real estate company in the cannabis industry. Futureland Corp is engaged in the business of leasing land and growhouses in the cannabis industry. Coming from a very traditional background working for Fortune 500 companies and banking/finance, I was very intrigued as to why the transition to the cannabis industry, which is characterized by startups, high risk and a wild west mentality.
1) Hi, Dusty, can you please give me a quick bio of who you are, where you are from and how you became interested in the cannabis industry in general?
I spent the first 29 years of my career in financial services; in banking and mortgage banking. During that time I managed every aspect of the mortgage and loan process with concentration in capital markets, operations and technology. During that time I worked for a number of companies, large and small, public and privately owned including one of the early dot com’s.
In 2005 I opened my own consulting practice which initially focused on assisting financial services companies with technology and operations but it soon gravitated to assisting start-up and early stage companies in taking an idea and turning it into a successful business. That assistance included developing business plans, technology roadmaps, and increasingly, securing the financing and capital the Company needed.
Early in 2016, I joined World Net Capital l; a consulting and commercial lending firm that specializes in raising capital and providing commercial real estate financing. WNC has arranged in excess of $2.0billion in financing since the Company started.
Over the years I have watched with interest, the successes that medical marijuana has had in the treatment of certain diseases and maladies. This has provided great relief to many. I have also watched the progression of legalization across the country ushering in the growth of a new industry. In regard to recreational marijuana, we have seen the success that it has had in Colorado in the generation of tax revenues for the state with few if any issues.
2) Tell me more about your background in commercial real estate, specifically your work with World Net Capital I. What kind of commercial real estate were you dealing with? Have you dealt with land and greenhouse purchases before?
My financial services career started in banking with an emphasis on commercial and residential real estate lending. My work with start-up and early stage companies required me to assist with commercial real estate financing. With Work Net Capital, we provide commercial real estate loans for a variety of projects, big and small. We offer loans as small as $500K and we are looking at a project today that requires over $300 million in real estate and equipment
financing.
Since November of last year, I have been assisting a family friend in Colorado in developing their 90 acre property into a state-of-the-art indoor grow facility including securing the financing. This project has required looking at greenhouse and equipment vendors that operate in this space.
3) The cannabis industry has one particular challenge. Because it is still illegal federally, obtaining financing is difficult, if not impossible. How can you leverage your real estate experience in terms of finding creative solutions for financing?
Federal illegality is an issue and because of this, most banks still have an issue providing financing and banking services for the industry. I am seeing this change though. In regard to the real estate financing, non-bank entities have increasingly gotten involved in the space and there is funding available for well-planned projects in the industry today. The non-bank entities do only look at projects above a certain dollar threshold. I am currently involved in securing financing for the project in Colorado mentioned above and my efforts with that project can be leveraged for Futureland Corp (FUTL).
4) How did you come in contact with Futureland Corp (FUTL), and what made you decide to become a member of the board of advisors?
I have known Futureland principals, Jerry Krystoff and Sean McNamara for a number of years. Knowing my background and the work that I am doing today, they reached out to me and asked if I was interested in joining the advisory board of Futureland Corporation. I felt that I could be of value and agreed to join the advisory board.
5) Where do you think you can help Futureland Corp the most as an advisor?
I believe I can assist Futureland in a number of areas including assisting them in the development of their business plan, sourcing financing, and analyzing new opportunities for the Company. I look forward to adding value to the company in any way possible.
And where are you getting your information? Can I see some proof of this?
I think the future is in CBD, as it's not a drug, and will soon be declassified. Even the World Doping Association has realized its medicinal benefits. FUTL is positioning itself to be a leader in this sector.
Did you read the results Old Tymer? Court case has been resolved, no longer an issue for HempTech. Why do you guys keep bringing this up? They just hired more staff, so I think this company has promise.
What was the result of this trial? If you're going to post this kind of information, at least provide the results so people can make their own judgements about what Futureland is doing.
That's when Rothschild used to buy his best stocks!
How do you know it's fake? "Nobody really knows for sure, so then how do you know?"
I think it's time to short the Euro/USD pair. With the French Election in full swing, and LePen strongly advocating leaving the EU--she's now saying she wants to keep the Euro for large multinational corporations, but return to the Franc for local transactions. In theory it makes sense, but in practice, it will be VERY complicated. But I think the FRENCH prefer EVERYTHING complicated!
I also think that Europe is way over-leveraged with its debt. The unemployment rate is in double-digits, and has been for quite some time. Here in France, the unemployment rate has been close to 10% for 10 years, so there are some major macroeconomic issues that need to be addressed.
I think this could be the Black Swan event that traders might be looking for. . .
Just my 2 centimes!
Sorry, can you please explain further? What is A/S?
So this leaves 50 million shares, right? How does this impact the price of the stock?
Sorry for the newbie questions!
Any reason that you know of why this stock is suddenly moving? I own shares from way back when. It started to move up earlier this year with the rumor of a merger, but then tanked back down.
Thanks for your help!
It's good to get an outsider perspective! I've been tracking cannabis stocks since 2012, and although many are still subpenny and there have been some major scandals, the industry is coming together as a whole. There are now two national industry associations, one for Hemp and one for Cannabis, they are holding quarterly caucuses, AND even the Trump Corporation (not the president) is hosting a cannabis commercial real estate conference. So I think it's a matter of time--now that cannabis is legal in some form in 29 states (and increasing monthly), a majority milestone has been reached.
I think these are long-term plays and there are a lot of day-traders trying to flip them which is not a good strategy at this point.
Interesting comment about a black swan event in France! After watching the debate and actually turning off the TV as it was too similar to the Clinton/Trump debate with them insulting each other.
And when was that exactly? Just trying to understand how this works.
I think it's a good vertical market to be in. Plus, it's all online, so can easily become national if not already done so. This company seems to be making some good acquisitions, but be careful as the cannabis industry is still in its infancy and full of scams.
Good to know, but here's another idea for their paper mill, convert it into a hemp processing facility. Here's what another company--they're actually Canadian, is doing in North Carolina.
http://hempinc.com
Is the land good land for farming? If so, they could also grow either cannabis or hemp. They have proposals on the table to legalize industrial hemp. Do you have access to the owners? If so, it might be worth mentioning this to them. Just a thought. . . Land in Colorado is being snapped up like there's no tomorrow because of the cannabis situation, so it's just a matter of time and positioning.
Tell me more--like the offbeat plays, plus if they are leasing the land, they are very smart. Do you know anything else about the company?
Hi,
New to ihub, looking at some cannabis companies, liked what mcig had to offer. Plus, they are not only suppliers to the cannabis industry, but to the e-cig industry which is exploding. Not sure about all these other "real estate" issues, which are all part of the fact the industry is still in its infancy.
You should go and watch old movies about the gold prospectors and what they had to overcome to dig for gold. It gives some good perspective. Then you should look at prohibition and how it was overcome, then you can see what the cannabis industry is having to deal with.
I think it's pretty incredible that in spite of all these obstacles, 29 states are now legally accepting some form of cannabis!
Ok thanks!
I agree--I'm looking at stocks that are on the perimeter of the cannabis industry and can swing back out if something happens to kill it--like Jeff Sessions. And I also think that niche online communities in general do well, and this one seems to be well-designed and well-run.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that Sessions doesn't continue with his 1950s rhetoric about cannabis!
I just started with investorshub and was perusing the boards. I know the solar industry is doing well, as I used to sell solar panels in Massachusetts. But they are still expensive to buy and install, especially for the average consumer. I like the technology Sun Works has to offer.
I don't have a position in SunWorks, but am creating a watch list.
I think the whole cannabis industry is in turmoil right now with Sessions at the helm. I also think there is a lot of momentum that is trying to get going--we just passed 4-20 with a majority of states legalizing cannabis. It's a question of time and what the rest of the stock market is doing.
I personally think as long as the DOW continues to go up, the whole cannabis industry is staying in the toilet.
Depends too what you're original objectives were? Buy and hold, or swing?
