My dear lars....
Please defend this article you have chosen to post. I would appreciate your responses to the following:
1. What was the project named BEFORE they changed the name to Park 51? Why the change?
2. What is the significance of the original name? Was there any surrounding meaning/significance to anything in NY, 911 or the USA to do with the name?
3. Do you deny the concept of a "victory mosque" in spite of 1000 years of evidence?
Should you choose to actually answer these with actual integrity and historical accuracy, I will have some other very pointed questions.
Here is was is really appalling to me: They are moving mountains to get this victory mosque in the works, but are stalling at every corner to rebuild the Orthodox church which is across the street and was damaged in the original attack:
WASHINGTON, DC (August 20, 2010) – Congressman Gus Bilirakis (FL-09) on Friday issued the following statement in regards to the ongoing delays and setbacks for St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at the site of the 9/11 attack:
“Why have New York City officials undermined our First Amendment rights by showing preference for one religion over another? St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, the only house of worship crushed by the collapse of the World Trade Center on 9/11, has yet to be rebuilt. The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese has been ready, willing, and able to re-erect its beloved church but has been met with persistent roadblocks by New York City officials who have thus far prevented reconstruction of the church.
These obstructions are particularly disconcerting in light of the fact that construction of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf's mosque near the hallowed ground where thousands of innocent Americans perished has been fast-tracked. Not only have Port Authority officials expedited permitting of the Ground Zero mosque, but the mosque is free of any architectural and engineering restrictions that are still imposed on the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
I simply ask that New York City authorities exercise common sense while employing the basic tenets of our U.S. Constitution. The government should cooperate with St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and its rebuilding process. It's not only the right thing to do, it's the constitutional thing to do.”
The second-generation son of Greek immigrants, Bilirakis is Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Hellenic Issues, a member of the International Religious Freedom Caucus, and sits on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

These people were always finding water all over their pool deck and
furniture, every time they came home, after being away for a few hours.
They thought the neighbourhood kids were watching for them to leave, and
using the pool. However, they could never catch them doing it.
So, they set up their video cam and left. This is what they found out

Amazing.
Red Skelton's Pledge of Allegiance
In different order: If we were suppose to live forever, we would. We don’t, therefore I won’t. Therefore I should not.
Same words/ideas, different order.
Makes sense to me. Maybe I also am the strange one.
Plugger,
You will never be able to get a gov. job if you keep asking questions like that.
Let me be very clear to all, as my post was written to all who are acting like children.
Losing on a very risky, again, very, very, very risky - wildcat, exploratory drill, which is highly risky venture (did I say risky enough?) is no grounds for acting like children.
You are all adult enough to invest, you should be adult enough to lose or win.
I guess I was wrong that posters would act like adults.
Its time to put away the childish and snide comments.
Again, to all, act like adults.
Not defending anyone here.... get that straight.
If edep had struck oil, you would be singing the opposite song.
Quite the hypocrisy, you sound like selfish little brats.
Grow up. We took a chance, we all lost. Get over it.
If this post makes you angry. Good! Read and re-read till you have gotten over with it.
Why did Bernie Madoff go to prison?
To make it simple, he talked people into investing with him. Trouble was, he didn't invest their money. As time rolled on, he simply took the money from the new investors to pay off the old investors. Finally there were too many old investors and not enough money from new investors coming in to keep the payments going. Next thing you know Madoff is one of the most hated men in America and he is off to jail.
Some of you know this, but not enough of you. Madoff did to his investors what the government has been doing to us for over 60 years with Social Security. There is no meaningful difference between the two schemes, except that one was operated by a private individual who is now in jail, and the other is operated by politicians who enjoy perks, privileges and status in spite of their actions.
Do you need a side-by-side comparison here? Well, here's a nifty little chart.
Bernie Madoff // SOCIAL SECURITY
Bernie: Takes money from investors with the promise that the
money will be invested and made available to them later
SS: Takes money from wage earners with the promise that the money
will be invested in a "Trust Fund" and made available later.
Bernie: Instead of investing the money Madoff spends it on nice homes
in the Hamptons and yachts.
SS: Instead of depositing money in a Trust Fund the politicians use
it for general spending and vote buying.
Bernie: When the time comes to pay the investors back Madoff
simply uses some of the new funds from newer investors to
pay back the older investors.
SS: When benefits for older investors become due the politicians
pay them with money taken from younger and newer wage earners to pay the geezers.
Bernie: When Madoff's scheme is discovered all hell breaks loose.
New investors won't give him any more cash.
SS: When Social Security runs out of money they simply force
the taxpayers to send them some more.
Bernie Madoff is in jail.
Politicians remain in Washington.
Now they want you to believe that you won't have to worry about Healthcare either....
Ngas, that's a good summary.
The Center for Disease Control has issued a medical alert about a highly contagious, potentially dangerous virus that is transmitted orally, by hand, and even electronically. This virus is called Weekly Overload Recreational Killer (WORK). If you receive WORK from your boss, any of your colleagues or anyone else via any means whatsoever - DO NOT TOUCH IT!!! This virus will wipe out your private life entirely. If you should come into contact with WORK you should immediately leave the premises.
Take two good friends to the nearest liquor store and purchase one or both of the antidotes - Work Isolating Neutralizer Extract (WINE) and Bothersome Employer Elimination Rebooter (BEER). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.
You should immediately forward this medical alert to five friends. If you do not have five friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.
So, what you are saying is that the older Republican bill included:
MANDATORY healthcare or go to jail.
&
No tort reform?
The big issues for the republicans (of which I am not) was these 2.
They wanted no mandatory, or go to jail, and the wanted tort reform first and formost.
Your portrayal of this is .........
As far as pens go, yes, all presidents for many terms have practiced this.
My question is this. How many pens were customary? 4 or 6? 20 shows a Narcissist.
If Hooters were to begin to deliver door to door,
Would they name that "wing" of their business: KNOCKERS?
If you have ever use an electric fence you should read this
The language used is a bit smutty and/or coarse, but 'he tells it like it is' with out cursing.
If you don't laugh hysterically at this,...CHECK YOUR PULSE...this is funny....and true. This was sent by a retired dentist.
We have the standard 6 ft. fence in the backyard, and a few months ago, I heard about burglaries increasing dramatically in the entire city. To make sure this never happened to me, I got an electric fence and ran a single wire along the top of the fence.
Actually, I got the biggest cattle charger Tractor Supply had, made for 26 miles of fence. I then used an 8 ft. long ground rod, and drove it 7.5 feet into the ground. The ground rod is the key, with the more you have in the ground, the better the fence works.
One day I'm mowing the back yard with my cheapo Wal-Mart 6 hp big wheel push mower. The hot wire is broken and laying out in the yard. I knew for a fact that I unplugged the charger. I pushed the mower around the wire and reached down to grab it, to throw it out of the way.
It seems as though I hadn't remembered to unplug it after all.
Now I'm standing there, I've got the running lawnmower in my right hand and the 1.7 giga-volt fence wire in the other hand. Keep in mind the charger is about the size of a marine battery and has a picture of an upside down cow on fire on the cover.
Time stood still.
The first thing I notice is my pecker trying to climb up the front side of my body. My ears curled downwards and I could feel the lawnmower ignition firing in the backside of my brain. Every time that Briggs & Stratton rolled over, I could feel the spark in my head. I was literally at one with the engine.
It seems as though the fence charger and the piece of shit lawnmower were fighting over who would control my electrical impulses.
Science says you cannot crap, pee, and vomit at the same time. I beg to differ. Not only did I do all three at once, but my bowels emptied 3 different times in less than half of a second. It was a Matrix kind of bowel movement, where time is creeping along and you're all leaned back and BAM BAM BAM you just crap your pants 3 times. It seemed like there were minutes in between but in reality it was so close together it was like exhaust pulses from a big block Chevy turning 8 grand.
At this point I'm about 30 minutes (maybe 2 seconds) into holding onto the fence wire. My hand is wrapped around the wire palm down so I can't let go. I grew up on a farm so I know all about electric fences ... but Dad always had those piece of shit chargers made by International or whoever that were like 9 volts and just kinda tickled.
This one I could not let go of. The 8 foot long ground rod is now accepting signals from me through the permadamp Ark-La-Tex river bottom soil. At this point I'm thinking I'm going to have to just man up and take it, until the lawnmower runs out of gas.
'Damn!,' I think, as I remember I just filled the tank!
Now the lawnmower is starting to run rough. It has settled into a loping run pattern as if it had some kind of big lawnmower race cam in it. Covered in poop, pee, and with my vomit on my chest I think 'Oh God please die .... Pleeeeaze die'. But nooooo, it settles into the rough lumpy cam idle nicely and remains there, like a big bore roller cam EFI motor waiting for the go command from its owner's right foot.
So here I am in the middle of July, 104 degrees, 80% humidity, standing in my own backyard, begging God to kill me. God did not take me that day ... he left me there covered in my own fluids to writhe in the misery my own stupidity had created.
I honestly don't know how I got loose from the wire ...
I woke up laying on the ground hours later. The lawnmower was beside me, out of gas. It was later on in the day and I was sunburned.
There were two large dead grass spots where I had been standing, and then another long skinny dead spot where the wire had laid while I was on the ground still holding on to it. I assume I finally had a seizure and in the resulting thrashing had somehow let go of the wire.
Upon waking from my electrically induced sleep I realized a few things:
1- Three of my teeth seem to have melted.
2- I now have cramps in the bottoms of my feet and my right butt cheek (not the left, just the right).
3- Poop, pee, and vomit when all mixed together, do not smell as bad as you might think.
4- My left eye will not open.
5- My right eye will not close.
6- The lawnmower runs like a sumbitch now. Seriously! I think our little session cleared out some carbon fouling or something, because it was better than new after that.
7- My nuts are still smaller than average yet they are almost a foot long.
8- I can turn on the TV in the game room by farting while thinking of the number 4 (still don't understand this???).
That day changed my life. I now have a newfound respect for things. I appreciate the little things more, and now I always triple check to make sure the fence is unplugged before I mow.
The good news, is that if a burglar does try to come over the fence, I can clearly visualize what my security system will do to him, and THAT gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling all over, which also reminds me to triple check before I mow.
Wish twere true, alas, tis not.
Tis a spoof.
http://www.thespoof.com/news/spoof.cfm?headline=s2i66233
If I remember correctly, Tom tried to get dirtdog to come to the well also. I too invited him after I made the decision to go. Tom tried to get anyone who had a problem with him to come, an open invite. You had your chance, now you just want to throw stones cause it happened to be a dry hole.
Yea, conflict of interest, that you too were a part of.
As far as a success rate, yea, Geo struck out with Eldorado wells, but not with many, many others.
Now read this correctly. If, and that is a if, they had struck oil, you would be the first to think what a wise and fortunate investor you were! You would be the first to be singing Tom's praises.
Don't deny it. Or any member reading this who enjoys posting hate mail. The sad reality is that all who do so are acting the hyprocrite. Yep. Sad part is that NONE are willing to admit it. They just like to throw stones cause their wildcat didn't win.
To the critical thinker, this child-like behavior speaks volumes.
No disagreement there. It does cost to run a company and pay for overhead, salaries, misc. and yes, drilling.
Dirt. I told you - for the last time.
EDEP does not OWN PIP. Any percentages include non (the vast majority) EDEP wells.
If PIP does 100 wells, hits no EDEP wells, but hit 95 others, what is the percentage?
You are purposely misleading the percentages.
I will continue to delete your misleading posts till you actually get your facts straight.
Lucky, I am not the person to ask.
Thats a question you ask the company.
Sorry.
Dead, there is a huge difference.
There is a difference when you trust but verify. We all know that almost ALL CEO's will paint a pretty pict. Would it be a surprise to you that Tom is a CEO and trys to paint a nice hopeful pic? At least you CAN talk to Tom. 90% of CEO will not talk to you. Again, trust but verify, and at least acknowledge that he will Talk! He does deserve credit for this, but you only take this and warp it to something ONLY negative. Shame on you for missing the good parts.
There is a differernce when you raise funds and drill, VS raise funds and abscond with the money and don't drill, PR'ing that you did drill. (Which Tom has been accused of here.) This is fraud, the other - as is Eldorado's case - is a dry well.
There is a difference when you are accused on not flaring and people take YOU to task for it, and when you are NOT the operator of the well.
There is a difference, and I thought you were able to tell.
Now, you just sound like sour grapes.
Please re-read several times the first 2 there is a difference lines. You should see and understand a big difference between Rah-Rah Tom and actual wisdom. Sad, that most people can't see this difference.
"no attempt"? Really? You can call Tom at any point. Like him or not, he is a ceo head who still and always talks to those whom call.
Additionally, you yourself can do some homework. IMO, it sounds to me like you didn't. This is easily done by anyone who choses to do thier homework rather than invest by bulletin boards and greed. (Which apparently many did here, judging by thier reactions.)
Get real, dirt is the only one who did much research?????? You didn't do any - including reading the posts on I-hub. Should you have, you would have been introduced to many, many who did excellent research. Additionally, they disclosed problems all along the way. The info was there all along, hopes and warts together. All you had to do was read.
Again, lucky, you and you alone are responsible for your investments. Trust buy verify is a great place to start.
This was and always has been a wildcat. 90% failure in the best case. That was and always has been clear. Sorry that you apparently didn't understand that in its fullest form.
Tom and drill operators have always been willing to disclose problems to me. They have always been open about the risks.
Sorry for any loss, but again, it was a wildcat. Even under perfect conditions, research and technology - most wildcat operations lose. EDEP was no exception so far.
Booth, welcome.
I appreciate all you said. I appreciate your adult perspective.
That being said, don't you realize that anything said about Tom that does not destroy him or his reputation will be met with a relentless barrage of attacks and insults. Even just a neutral position will be twisted due to the childish reactions of a few posters who wanted investing in a wildcat with no risk.
So welcome, and sorry in advance.
I hope your experience is better than others.
I agree, but its not gonna happen.
Repeated posting, saying the same things over and over and over and over is a TOU violation.
Dirt, this applies to you.
Your post is a repeat of the same bashing you have said over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.................
Again, your repeating is a TOU violation. You have now drug up old, years old info covered and covered by you and others for the past several years.
Unless you add to the conversation and quit the relentless, REPEATED rants which you regurgitated far past the norm, you will find your posts deleted.
Its time to move on.
Are you suggesting that you talk to people who have no part of the drill, are not the operators, have never seen the logs to get the accurate info?
I didn't think so.
The problem is that this is what dirt is doing and then making his loud proclaimations. As he always has.
So here is the deal, the drill operators are the ones to release accurate info. Thats the source. That is who I go to. No one else.
dirtdog
Nice to see that you are finally beginning to attempt to do some actual DD. However, like before, (AND WE HAVE HAD THIS CONVERSATION SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE) YOU ARE TALKING TO EVERYBODY BUT THE ACTUAL ONES INVOLVED............. a friend of a friend of a friend who is not involved in the drill any way or form. That is NOT DD.
Before you rant anymore, try talking to the ones involved. Start with the drill operator. Your fictious rants are no longer to be posted here. Until you post actual DD and quit implying and out right saying no gas, get more facts from the one involved. Till then, no post.
You've bashed and bashed and bashed. That in now done till you have actual facts and get them straight. You were banned once before for your behavior and I am warning you right out. This board is for discussion of EDEP, NOT personal vendettas cause you lost some money on a WILDCAT investment here. You've said 100 times your opinions and they are now a clanging gong. That time has ended.
Call the drill operator and get the real story. I will be able to confirm your contact and information given. Then you can post real DD and info.
Empty DD and empty bashing are no longer allowed. You have lost that priviledge here. That goes for your insults, crude sexual references and other childish behavior. No more profanity, druken middle of the night posts, calling Liar, liar, liar without proof offered.
Lucky, it was clear to me that they did not own the drill. However, I talked to Tom before I invested and he told me upfront that EDEX had only a 33% ownership. He never tried to pretend that he owned them or was the operator.
Again, all I can tell you is that Tom was always upfront about the ownership of the Mesa well when I did my homework in deciding whether to invest in this wildcat drill or not.
I can tell you is that it was quite clear on the board also. Not that the board is an official PR, it is not.
The other thing I will comment about is that this is the norm in scores of investment opportunities I've seen in pink sheets and others. Almost all say "our well" when they talk about an opportunity even when they might one only a small percentage.
People do that too! Someone might say "my company" is doing this and that, when they only work there. I understand that they are not raising capital for investment in a statement like that - only to point out that it is a common habit for humanity to express ownership, whether it is a person talking about a family event, a church, a business, and yes, an investment.
Dirt - you continue to mislead people. It is agenda, a personal grudge cause you lost $20?, or, are you that challenged mentally as I have told you the following many time.
Warning - this is THE LAST time I will cover this w/you. Here on out, all lies or distortions like these will automatically be deleated.
GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!
You wrote: "Why doesn't PIP ever work?"
FACT: Pip isn't owned by Tom or EDEP. It is owned by another group and it works fine. Tony and Calvin are doing quite well financially due to fields discovered in the past, & recently discovered. It is a sad fact that the EDEP wells were no goes, but many, many of other PIP discovered wells are fine.
These are the facts. Your statement above is either a flat out lie, a refusal to admit the truth, or a blatent attempt at as bad or worse thing than you accuse Tom of.
You wrote: "Why wasn't Mesa even tested?" You're post is as if Tom had anything to do with this. Tom and EDEP are not in charge of the Mesa, and have NO SAY whether to test or not. Even if Tom were to say, "here is all the money for testing, please let me test it" he could not. I will say this in big letters, even though I have told you this before: TOM AND EDEP ARE NOT THE DRILL OPERATORS. EDEP has a limited percentage. It is the drill operator, not Tom, who decided to test and when. During breakfast togehter, I talked with the drill operator about this very subject. It is not high on his priority and his exact words to me were: "Yea, I do need to get to that.... and I will." So get it straight. It is not Tom's call. Its time to quit mis-leading others, as you continue to accuse others of.
I could say much more but I won't.
Now, get this straight. The above is neither pro or negative concerning Tom. Facts are facts. So don't bother accusing me of being Tom's this or that. I am just straightening out your continual mis-information for the last time.
It also seems counterproductive and problematic for a company with little finances to constantly put out PR's due to the grumbling of a handful of posters on I-hub.
IMO, PR's should only be put out when something worthy of saying needs to be communicated - at least for this company, considering their finances.
Like Tom or not, at least he is accessible. Most pinksheet CO's cannot be reached, especially those that actually do run scams. No phone calls, no emails, no nothin'.
Tom at least returns these and has always been accessible.
Now, it he could have hit oil......
Downhill, IF you are interested in anything Tom has to say, please contact him yourself, vs hounding or nit-picking with a fellow poster.
'nuff said.
Mod.
No disagreement with your post.
But then for a poster to go on and make unfounded accusations as to what Tom is doing, is quite another thing. That was and is something the poster continually does. It is inappropriate at every level.
Call it IMO, "Tom might be doing.....," fine, but to actually accuse and say he is doing X, with no factual basis, well, that is quite another story entirely.
I am only a mod here, not an IR or in PR for EDEP.
A very simple concept, sorry you could not understand the difference.
You and any investor are able to do what you asked others to do for you.
