skier, i was referring to Ian's post on the homeland blog. The fact of the matter is that you can't buy back shares to reduce float without sales. To get sales, you need inventory. To get inventory, you need money. the prior share price was not adequate to create cash flow. A reverse split was the only option. I believe the only lier was Moody. The current team is truly trying to make a company. Unfortunately, it sucks for all of us who invested pre reverse split. They would have been out a long time ago if they didn't believe they have something. Now, I am of course pissed that i have lost so much money. But the truth is Moody created this mess. He lied about sales, and should be thrown in jail. There is a zero percent chance any of us (who invested pre split) will recoup our losses. With that said, we are all speculators, and now is the time to invest.
Well, I have been an investor of Homeland for a couple of years now. Although I have lost 99% of my money, I wish I had held off investment until now. Shares outstanding are at an all time low, the company is now positioned to sell a great product, they can now build cash with the reverse split so they can pay a sales force and manufacture the product, and as Ian said, the worst is behind them. Unfortunately, I have invested 10 of thousands in this company at the wrong time. In hind sight, I would have waited until now to invest. Good luck folks.
nasdaqq,
god thinking on the bloc. unfortunately, there is no chance they could get one without positive cash flow.
Reason for high volume:
Everyone,
The reason for the high volume over the past weeks is that HISC is still selling shares into the market to create cash flow for the company. Wicks has already stated this months ago. They are not surviving off of sales, they are surviving off of selling shares into the market. Thats it. Pure and Simple.
I still own a boatload of shares but this ship will be sunk in less than 12 months. If not, I will be surprised but happy. The new management has done there best. Moody is a dirtbag and a liar. He should be thrown in jail for publicly stating the company would be doing 300 million in sales by next year. Since none of us will recoup money from HISC, at least we can get satisfaction from seeing moody being thrown in jail for misrepresenting company financials and future growth forcasts. I recommend everyone submit complaints to the SEC about Frank Moody lying to shareholders and misrepresenting HISC from a financial perspective.
Good Luck.
spence, thanks for the reply. Much appreciated!
Spencer, long time, no talkie. I have been a busy boy so I haven't had time to keep up on the board. Looks like I have lost about 50k in the mean time. Can you give me a run down of the current HISC situation in bullet points? I.e. rumors, optimisms, pessimisms etc... I appreciate it spencer.
I still believe in the product and know that BA and Frank Moody are crooks. If we can make sales then we might be able to get our money back. Just a thought, anyone ever consider if Jerseyboy worked for bigapple. Its seems strange that he was such a huge advocate of each...just a thought.
Best,
Integrity
OK, someone has to know something. Who has ideas on what is happening?
-short covering, but why?
-leaked news, but what?
-Big Apple is gone, this is definitely a plus. Funny how the stock finally goes up now that they are gone.
OT: RCP, in response to your private earlier this morning, no worries. I wasn't offended. Thanks.
OT: Red, what's wrong with all caps?
SPRINT: FYI: TODAY I SPOKE TO THE SPRINT EMPLOYEE WHO INTRODUCED SPRINT/NEXTEL TO HISS.
HIS WORDS WERE VERY ENCOURAGING. HE SAID THAT THE CYBER TRACKER IS THE ONLY PRODUCT THEY SELL OF ITS KIND. IT IS VERY COMPETITIVE IN THE MARKET PLACE. SPRINT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAINING ITS EMPLOYEES ON THE PRODUCT WITH SALES EXPECTED TO BEGIN VERY SOON. IN FACT TRAINING WILL BE A LARGE PART OF THE ALREADY ANNOUNCED "ROAD SHOW".
HE MENTIONED 3RD AND 4TH QUARTER SHOULD BE GOOD. 2007 SHOULD BE GREAT (ALTHOUGH HE WOULD NOT COMMENT ON SPECIFIC SALES). THE OVERALL MARKETPLACE FOR THE CT IS ENORMOUS. HE MENTIONED THAT THE REASON THE DEAL HAS TAKEN SO LONG IS BECAUSE OF PROBLEMS WITH SPRINT EMPLOYEE TURNOVER AND NOT HISS.
HE DID MENTION THAT HISS DOES NOT RECEIVE ROYALTIES FROM SPRINT FOR MONTHLY SERVICE FEES. HOWEVER, SPRINT DOES NOT RECEIVE ANY COMPENSATION FROM HISS FOR SELLING CTs.
HE MENTIONED THAT THEY ARE FOCUSING ON THE "FLEET" MARKET WHICH IS HUGE. HE ALSO MENTIONED THAT SPRINT WOULD BY NO MEANS BE DOING BUSINESS WITH HISS UNLESS THEY HAD AN INCREDIBLE PRODUCT THAT IS IN LARGE DEMAND.
I SPECIFICALLY ASKED ABOUT THE RETAIL MARKET. HE SAID THAT CURRENTLY THEY ARE CONCENTRATING ENTIRELY ON THE INSTITUTIONAL MARKETS WHICH IS WHERE THE MONEY IS.
HE DID MENTION THAT HE WAS AS UPSET ABOUT THE SHARE PRICE AS I, HOWEVER, HE IS CONFIDENT IN THE COMPANY AND LOOKS FORWARD TO FUTURE SALES. "HISS HAS A FANTASTIC PRODUCT, WHICH IS CURRENTLY SELLING IN THE MARKETPLACE. IT SHOULD BE VALUED WELL ABOVE WHERE IT IS TODAY". OBVIOUSLY, HE SPOKE LIKE A SHAREHOLDER AS WELL, HOWEVER I DID NOT ASK IF HE OWNED SHARES.
HE ALSO MENTIONED THE CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT AT HISS. HE SAID THAT FRED IS MUCH MORE FOCUSED ON THE SALES AND MARKETING END OF THE BUSINESS WHICH SHOULD PAY DIVIDENDS IN THE NEAR FUTURE(NOTHING NEW). HOWEVER, HE DID MENTION THAT HE HAS NOT MET FRED WICKS YET BUT PLANS TO IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
THIS IS ALL I KNOW, SO MORE QUESTIONS WON'T GET ANSWERS.
GOOD LUCK!
please do your own dd. this is in no way a solicitation of hiss. just good research.
In case you have not seen this:

Ward, when I called the guy at FEMA, I prefaced the conversation with "There has been a lot of press lately on NEW tracking devices that FEMA is using for their vehicles. In fact, the Wall Street Journal just published an article several days ago in regard to the tracking devices. Do you know the name of the company from which FEMA bought the devices?". Thats when he responded and told me "orbitrax" is the product. We did not discuss any further than that.
Of course, I hope there are many other orders he was not aware of. I will cross my fingers.
FEMA UPDATE: correction to my last nights post. The product FEMA is using is Orbitrax not orbitracks.
the website is : www.orbit-one.com
Big Apple: For those interested Big Apple is Full of Sh!t about 50% of the time. They specifically called me the other day to tell me the order from FEMA was from HISC. Of course, I did not believe them (even though I wanted to) so I researched it myself. the prior post is what I found. Big apple is the biggest bunch of liars and crooks. I really can't believe they called me to lie about the order. Unbelievable! I called them back and I questioned where they got the information from. They said they got it from a broker they speak with who has contacts at FEMA. What a load of SH!T. They advertise information that they recevieve from unreliable sources. The SEC really should arrest the executives of that company.
FEMA Contract: For those interested: I spoke with someone in FEMA yesterday after calling about 3 newspapers, and 5 officials at FEMA. The person told me that the recent orders for GPS systems were from a company called ORBITRACK. He did not mention whether there were additional orders from Homeland, however the big orders we saw in the news were Orbitrack (spelling may be wrong). They do have a website, however I left it at work. If you search it enough you will find a website for them.
actually, we are waiting on everything to be filed.
News: 8-K has been posted
Yes I did. What does this mean. Lets say the filings are correct. Isn't usually a good thing that there is little short interest in a security?
Jersey, I can't believe that the current short interest is accurate. There must be a mistake. However, it is possible that shorts covered on the run up to 7 cents i guess.
the short interest doesn't make any sense at all
short interest reporting will be made available tomorrow on pinksheets.
Jersey, I called Moody today and left a message. I will share what I have after I speak to him. Any news on your end?
OT: Good point on the 10:1. I hate raging bull, because I have to waste too much time sorting through garbage, and people rambling on about nothing, just like most of your posts and several others as of late. I prefer to read opinion or fact. Nothing else. Only post fact if you can back it up. If its opinion, state that it is opinion.
ACTSOFT: I believe the actsoft deal is still on. There is no doubt in my mind. Actsoft will probably be acquired through the sale of more HISC shares however, instead of the transfer of "certain assets". I would guess that these shares would be restricted in some fashion. The last PR stated that the new company is expected to be trading at .50 cents per share. That is ONLY possible if Actsoft is part of this new company.
Spencer, RCP-This board is completely out of control. I have read only a few of the posts over the past several days because the board mirrors that of Raging Bull. If this keeps up, I do not plan on reading at all. Please keep statements on topic!
Great information Fenwah, you may have a dirty mouth, but I guess you can't fully judge a book by its cover. Thanks.
Any responses to my post number 32010 are more than welcome!
This is better said from Fool.com:
http://www.fool.com/FoolFAQ/FoolFAQ0033.htm
OK, I understand the potential benefits and risks of shorting, except for one thing. If the stock I've shorted pays a dividend, am I liable for that dividend?
Yes. If you are short as of the ex-dividend date, you are liable to pay the dividend to the person whose shares you have borrowed to make your short sale. I must say, however, that if you are correct in your judgment to sell the issue short, your profits achieved thereby will certainly outweigh the small dollar amount of the dividend payout.
Because shorts have two options. The theory of them having to cover has to do with the dividend payout. If they buy shares back, they do not have to pay other shareholders the dividend on the shares they buy back.
If they do not do this, they have to purchase shares of the company which current HISC shareholders are receiving a dividend in, which is EVSI, because they are short HISC. Since they are short HISC, they are responsible for providing shareholders of HISC a stock dividend in the new company. They can do this buy purchasing the shares in the new company and then distributing them to current HISC shareholders.
I hope this made sense
Tell me if I'm wrong. I do not believe there will be a "short squeeze" has BA keeps marketing. I also do not believe the shorts will be buying back shares of HISC over the next week. Here is why:
If I own 100,000 shares of HISC there are two scenarios that will be played out by the end of this month at todays price of HISC.
1.) Shorts can cover by paying $4300(.043/share) for 100,000 shares of HISC by the dividend date or.
2) they can wait, buy 2000(50:1 stock dividend) shares of EVSI for $169.80(at todays price)and deliver this to shareholders of record
Which makes sense?
EVSI could go to go all the way to $2.15 (The breakeven point). That is the price at which it wouldn't matter whether they covered HISC or just bought EVSI stock to deliver to shareholders.
If I am wrong please someone tell me. But if I am right, then BA needs to quit filling investors with BS as I believe they did to me today.
I of course hope I am wrong!
Aroy, because BB and T shows up as an institutional owner doesn't mean the institution owns it. For example, someone could have a 401k plan through bb and t and have it set up as self directed and purchase shares that way. This would show up as institutional but really its not. I highly doubt that BB and T as a company is invested in this stock...In fact I would say its impossible at this point in the game. These companies have investment policies they have to abide by. They do not include investments in stocks below 10 cents.
I am long, but realistic.
RCP, check your email.
yes neutral, I did speak with them earlier today.
The cyberkey and HISC relationship has been dissolved. They are no longer partners. I had a buy order in for 100k shares at .012 the entire day but it never went through. Sucks that you could see at .011 but you couldn't buy any at the ask. Jersey, any thoughts?
Don't know if this has been posted but the marketing agreement between cyberkey and HISC has been dissolved. They are no longer partners.
Body, I don't believe this will happen in the near future. If it is in the future, its too far out to say.
I agree lacy. I believe HISS just attacked the markets most available to them initially, and the most profitable. Of course going forward, we both know they will be focusing their efforts in both markets. Retail just got a late start. I believe there is a lot more to come.
Captain, I wasn't aware that the CT is ready for retail. I remember Moody saying they would be ready this summer. Where did you find this info? Thanks pal.
Lacy, I don't believe the retail applications are as enticing as non-retail, so I would agree with you. However, we don't need them to be too attractive, just attractive enough to sell a few a year per store. That would end up to be a lot of CTs.
Schlots, I believe the CT will be available for retail distribution this summer. Although, majority of sales initially will be non-retail. There is a huge market for both. Moody as referenced the retail product being available this summer several times in the past. Ultimately, I also believe the CT will be available in retail sprint/nextel stores nationwide...hopefully this year.
