I really hope the company has something good for us in the next day or two. This kind of flowery, non-performance crap got old a long time ago.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
WIDD, I agree. At this point, I don't care how they do it, just do it. We have been debating this issue for two years, enough if enough. I would really like to see some kind of operational report. I was hoping for that with the 3rd quarter financials and management discussion. I can understand putting a hold on financials, but the SEC investigation is no excuse for keeping us in the dark. JMO.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
sono, believe me, I understand where you are coming from. My hope is that there is progress going on where we are kept uninformed, intentionally. I can't blame the company for that, but I do want to hear about progress, or at least our business plan. I believe that it's back to basics for us. Prove ourselves, and make things happen.
If we really are focusing on a large scale Mexico deployment, that could put a real drain on manpower. Albeit, most of the employees will be composed of consultants and contractors. A Mexico deployment is probably beyond my capabilities in the near term (I can dream, lol), but the smaller stuff is something that I can do. There are a lot of investors here who are real serious about making this happen, I am one of those investors. I would bet that if we focus our efforts on ideas to make this happen, we can succeed. Just a thought, we might as well focus our efforts somewhere. Best wishes to you as well.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Maybe we ought to be thinking of ways to get the word out for Globetel Wireless. I would bet that spending has been seriously curtailed, and manpower limited. Maybe we can compile a list of possibilities and bring them to management. Here are some things that I thought might be useful.
1) Deploy WiMax on a college campus that offers networking courses. The students could perform tests on the equipment, we might even get an academic study on this. No one can break a system like undergrads, if it can survive them, it would say a lot.
2) Offer a Hotzone 4010 to a networking trade journal. They would likely test the equipment and publish the results. This would gain huge credibility for the company, and would make sales and getting frequencies a lot easier. Any issues could be addressed with the Hotzone 5000 release, or with a firmware fix.
3) Do more tests with government departments and facilities. There are many government offices and complexes looking to have wireless service. I would bet there are other applications for Wimax services as well.
Anyway, just some random ideas. I figured these would be low cost and would give good exposure to the equipment. At the same time, this would not take up too much of Uli's time. I should be able to spend some time on this in the coming months. Please add ideas if you have any. Maybe we can cut and paste them together.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Rhaps, at this point we are a non-reporting company, as in the company is not reporting its financials. I truly hope that changes in the future, hopefully the not so distant future. I find that I spend a lot less time reading the boards and watching this stock, I also hope that changes in the not so distant future, a nice contract would help that.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
gtewillwin, if someone is talking to the company, maybe they could ask if we could get any information. Unfortunately, we are a non-reporting company at this point, and we really don't have any significant revenues aside from Centerline (thank heavens for Centerline). I would very much like to know something about our current business plan. We have heard of so many things, then poof, nothing, we never hear about it again. I am still holding, but this is BS, I will not hold forever. It really seems that the only time we get information is when the majority of investors go up to or beyond their threshold, and are ready to sell. This, IMO, is not the way to run things. I would love to be a rabidly loyal shareholder again, I just need something to hold on to. There are supposed to be a lot of things happening with the company, i.e. Germany, VozBrazil, Mexico pilot, strat, Centerline, etc. Why is the company so quiet? The last excuse was because of the Amex hearing, what is it now? No one is parsing our PR's except for us, I see no valid excuse for this quiet period. The SEC has nothing against factual information. JMO.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
SAM, here is the press release for the acquisition of Hotzone from June, 2005.

_nilrem, good find. This is a different website than before, it used to redirect to globetel. Thanks.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Cole, would you seriously recommend sending it up to 65,000ft without the initial tests? LOL, you sure are reaching tonight. You are much more emotional than usual. I notice these things.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Cole, payload is a whole different ballgame on an autonomous airship. With a helicopter, you have a pilot, different power source (i.e. different battery technology), etc. There are many differences. On top of that, you would want to make sure that everything is working in a new configuration. Are you so sure that nothing was new? What about the surveilence capabilities. I wonder how that was transmitted, maybe they hooked that up through the Hotzone 4010. I don't remember anything about that on the original Sanswire helicopter test. You can correct me if I am wrong.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Cole, a helicopter and an autonomous airship are two very different entities. Just an FYI.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Cole, are you kidding? The Sanswire folks needed to verify that everything was in the right place. Then came verification that everything worked together. It may sound simple, but it had to be done. Even "simple" system integration tests are a lot more difficult than what appears on the surface. You are the one who seems to grasping at straws, if you don't believe me, ask any technical person.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
nerd86, I like that definition too. I have always been fascinated by individual ethics and how it impacts the greater whole. I am a big fan of Utilitarianism and Social Contract Theory, not perfect, but useful in concept. We, as a society, have taken such a leap in technology, while our social advancement has trickled at best. Our social learning needs to catch up. Deep stuff, I truly hope to meet you someday soon, maybe the next shareholder meeting. I enjoy these types of conversations, and I truly believe that the technical people of this day need to (at the very least) consider these things. JMO.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
risk_it, I too am "by the book" in my profession. I am glad to hear that, I have a lot of respect for your profession. I disagree with what you say about ethics and trading, but I think I would be splitting hairs on that one. I personally believe that ethics are based on logic, in a more macro view, JMO.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
techisbest, we were talking about the messageboard. Please read it first before you write me.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
I tend to look at things a little deeper than some. I get concerned when I hear things like that from someone in law enforcement, although I have doubts about you, risk_it. That kind of stuff goes way deeper than face value. The system is about process, going back to to the study of ethics in ancient Greece. I guess I have an idealistic view of law enforcement, you won't change that though.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
So risk_it, are you part of the problem, or part of the solution? What exactly did you mean by "it's not how you play the game, it's whether or not you win"?
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
techisbest, Constant station would be pretty difficult if the damn thing rolled over. It could be a real problem if there were balance issues. However, it stayed in place with all of the equipment. A good step in the right direction, IMO. We need to talk about your latin too, lol.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Kona, Yep. He even writes that he does not blame them for testing it. It is one thing to test equipment on a helicopter, or on a roof top, it is quite another to test it on a floating airship. The balancing factor and support from the airship, I'm sure, was another factor. Also, I could be wrong on this, but the surveilence equipment was probably new. Anyway, getting all this to work together on an airship was a smart thing to do. It shows us what equipment will be involved in the testing, and paves the way for the free flight testing. This just removes one more variable for the engineers to deal with. Now we know it works, it is balanced, and we can move on to bigger and better. It was also nice that management came through on time. That was pretty cool in and of itself.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Cole, Have you ever tried to integrate several systems and run a test (for an audience on top of it)? What may seem simple to a lay person can be a big deal for the technical people involved. The way I see it is that Sanswire demonstrated what will be used in the testing of Sans2a. This is useful because it shows that the test bed works, and now we can move on to flight testing. While we still have more to go, this test showed that we have the computers and communications equipment on board, they work, and now we move on. JMO, but the good people here have a right to be happy.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
tradefor, going to $8 is a big leap, but it is possible. If, and I stress the if, we can get the strat to 65,000 feet and maintain a position for a day or two, we may see a lot more than $8. JMO. Time will tell.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Thanks Design, nice to see some pics from the test. Yep, definitely looks like something on the bottom.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Aloha Kona, give me a call when you have some time. Nice ride today man, let's hope we get some follow on news tommorrow. No matter what though, it looks like we are moving forward faster now, I can wait.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
dfmantx, I too am thinking along those lines. I think there is a lot more to the story than what we heard yesterday. It sounds like these guys are serious about moving forward. We have waited for some time to see the strat fly. It was worth over $3.00 a share then, what's it worth now? A nice contract, published financials, and maybe something new to us would really kick us into high gear. JMO.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
aloha kona, yep. Getting things done like this is beneficial on so many levels. Not only does it show what we have now, but it also shows our partners just how fast we can make changes, get things done on a schedule, and/or provide enhancements. I would also bet that this will improve our Hotzone negotiations. Once we have a working strat, I believe that there will be many interested parties who will want to have the Hotzone system deployed. Full compatibility with the future of wireless communications. Best wishes, it was nice chatting with you yesterday.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
holter, I consider that to be a pretty unlikely scenario. We really do have a top notch team that has been working on this. That is a good part of the reason I bought into this company, top quality talent. Best wishes.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
Looks like we got some traction today. IMO, we don't see much selling because the likelihood is that we will see the strat launch in the next day or two. On top of that, when we do launch, we are likely to (at least) double from here in a very short period of time. I believe that we might get a lot of attention from the military and/or a parter (Raytheon?) shortly after we demonstrate the engines, guidance, and communication systems. Once we start testing with all of the systems, we are just a hop, skip and a jump away from Edwards AFB. Things could start moving real fast here, kudos to our management team. These guys seem to understand how to get things done.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
I have been waiting for almost two years for the strat to start flying. It finally looks like we are going to get what we want. Best wishes to all longs, especially to those who waited it out.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
PENNY_PIRATE, I hear ya. I seriously doubt management would make these claims if they were not prepared to back them up. This is looking real nice, so much for tax selling. IMO, we have a serious opportunity here, if the Sanswire team pulls this off, they will have the appearance of walking on water. Projections will take on a whole new meaning with this company. Damn, I'm being optimistic again. lol.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
nikos, we could be on the Figi stock exchange, and we would hit a buck. Once we are at altitude, five bucks will look cheap. JMO. I sure hope this works out.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
doc, I am still fond of Huff. He was the one to bring in the dream. His vision brought us Hotzone and the Strat. He laid the groundwork, built the structure and got nailed to a wall for his troubles. He can still turn out a winner though, if these technologies work like I believe they do, we all may be hooked up for life. If this stuff works out, I may have to name my first child Tim Huff, hope it's a boy. lol.
There, now I need to put on my cynical hat again, lol.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
PENNY_PIRATE, yep, it sure looks that way. IMO, this will lend a lot of credibility to management. If we do get the strat off the ground and test the systems, Kourhy, Kostro and Murch will appear to have taken on the impossible, and won. Nice way to start the new year. Kudos to our management team, these guys aren't playing for penny stock scraps. That is precisely what I wanted to see, I sure am looking forward to the upcoming week.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
siriuslyricher, is that a sentence? lol. Yes, it sounds like they have been testing, now we know what they are testing. And what they are testing now carries a fair amount of significance. It looks like the market feels the same way. Best of all, if they do this in their timeframe (the timeframe listed in the pr), we won't have to wait too long for the market reaction. It took some time, but it looks like we are back on the radar screen again.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
This is turning out to be a pretty good day for the longs. Cheers to Kourhy and Kostro, Murch also gets a big hurrah from me. Looks like these guys got busy and kicked some tail. I'm not sure if we will get news on Friday or Monday, but if we do start testing, it looks like we are about to go up more than I expected. Time will tell.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
nikos, I too am optimistic. This is very good news, but I don't think we will see a significant pop in shareprice until we see a picture or a video. As for the SEC thing, IMO, we will know a lot more when we get earnings. I don't see the SEC investigation as a big deal if we produce results. I am hoping that this is resolved soon, we get a fine, restate earnings, and that will be the end of it.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
skram, yep. I'm not holding my breath, but it sure would be nice to see financials before year end.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
ccbn suggests that we will get Q3 earnings between December 5 and December 15.

miguellara, still up in the air. I consider it a longshot. Here is the link, yet to be updated. Nilrem dug this up a while back.

nerd, I would love to move forward with this company. The problem is, we still know little to nothing about the business plan. Add to that, we keep getting second hand information from the internet about moving offices and bankruptcy in Germany. The bankruptcy was fixed, but still, why did we not hear about this from the company? It really makes me wonder what else the company is not telling us. The way I see it, we are lucky to be holding where we are. Most likely because many of us still refuse to sell. The immediate problem that I see is that many will take a tax loss if we don't have anything to sink out teeth into. And I don't mean more string us along crap that kept us going in the past.
Bleckman seems to be jumping up and down telling us how they are now making things happen, where it was not happening before. This just sounds like more string us a long crap. Where was the progress in the last year and a half? What the hell have these guys been doing all this time? Too many unanswered questions, and very little trust in management. I will not be left standing when the music stops. Life without GTEM? I am about to find out real soon if this company doesn't get it's act together quick.
Sincerely,
bayou_guy
