Well, I hope everything goes your way, JD. If this pays off for you, that means it pays off for us all.
An old college buddy of mine had a gambling problem, and his twisted philosophy on gambling was "Don't bet what you have, bet what you need." He was half joking, but he did it often enough to where it caught up to him. I haven't bought any more shares since May. I have money to buy more, but I got to my target share count, and am standing pat. GLTA
What if the FDA is slowing things up so BP can get their houses in order, and gain as much market foothold as they can before immunotherapies such as dcvax-l and direct become fully unleashed on the industry? It would be inhumane, reprehensible, and certainly illegal for them to do so, but when hundreds of billions of dollars are at stake, who's to say?
AF must get a great sense of achievement from getting companies kicked out of conferences. I'm guessing he was always picked last in school, or likely picked on. Or, perhaps he could never make it in the real world of science/biotechnology so this is how he exerts control over those that he'll never be as smart as, or successful as. Beyond that lies the nefarious syndicate theory, but in that scenario I see him as an errand boy, not a decision maker.
Had they not put the statement in the 8-k about the anticipated disclosure of blinded interim P3 data, I dont think we would have ever known they were going to disclose it. It wasn't announced prior to the conference as far as I know. So my question is, why include that information when the only question being asked by shareholders is if they were goung to present at the conference, or not? Yes or no? What purpose does it serve to let us know about a disclosure of data, and then say the presentation has been canceled? Why convey that then take it away? sbnyc, all of your theories have merit to some degree because with such little, and vague information to go on, everything is fair game, imho. This company is like an infinite matryoshka doll. Where does it end?
I am ever hopeful, H2R. This riddle can be solved, and hopefully mankind is going to be making leaps in the near future with the advances being made in immuno-oncology. I truly hope that dcvax-l will be approved, so it can get to the folks that need it.
No I hadn't noticed, because I doubt that's why they 8-K'ed when they did, but you're free to make all of the wild assumptions you wish. I also think most of the retail on this board, which seems to be your target audience, is fairly sate at this time. I suppose you're a scarecrow for the newbies who happen to stop in, which seems to suit you as the scarecrow had no brains.
It just strikes me as odd that they would go above what the shareholder inquiry was, and add in that they were going to disclose P3 interim blinded data, and then say by the way, no we're not.
Was anyone anticipating this specific disclosure stated in the 8-K? It sounds like THEY were anticipating to disclose it. If it was announced prior, then my apologies.
New 8-K says:
Item 7.01. Regulation FD Diclosure.
The Company has received some shareholder inquiries about whether the Company will be presenting at the SMi conference in London on September 27-28, 2017. While anticipating the disclosure of interim blinded data from the Company’s Phase 3 trial of DCVax®-L for Glioblastoma, the Company will not be presenting at this year’s SMi conference. SMi will be posting this same information on their website and in the conference program.

I call it a highly speculative investment, but I'm not afraid of the risk. What I am afraid of is seeing another family member, or friend, go through what my father did. Even after the biopsy left him paralyzed on one side, he never cried about it like some people on this board do about their investment. But, as tough as my mom is, she cried... a lot. She still does, and that was nine years ago. I never want to see that happen to anyone I know again. Sure this is a long shot, but I'll take it. You know if you were beating on the iPhone, or GM, or a widget I wouldn't pay it much mind. However, you're beating on a company and doctors that are trying to help people live. I take great with issue with that, so excuse me if I treat you like a turd, because that's all I think you are.
Turd? You must be smelling your upper lip.
A snippet from a July 2017 article...
"Getting AI through the Food and Drug Administration's regulatory process is the first order of business. According to some, the FDA hasn't caught up with how AI works. The agency's draft guidance on software changes, released in 2016, calls for re-approval of some medical devices—including those running algorithms—every time they change significantly. That's particularly burdensome for AI, since changing quickly is at the very heart of what learning algorithms are supposed to do."

Would paying a fee for approval be a material event that would require an 8-k?
So they're trading on inside information? I guess that means you are as well, so that means yet again, I've forwarded your comments and this information to the SEC.
You're not a shareholder, so why is that a "mystery" to you?
NW hasn't sold a share since last 13g. https://fintel.io/so/us/nwbo
I personally think Bosch's nod to the work of the independent statisticians is the last (and maybe only) signal for investors to get in at these prices. However, I also believe it's a wildly speculative assumption given the world that NWBO is in. I was all in 3 months ago, and am standing pat regardless. GL to patients and longs.
GGB, You don't know how he prefaced that slide. And don't forget he gave a nod to statisticians at ASCO. This seems more like a deliberate drop, than an act of desperation. IMHO
Well said! NWBO already has pariah status among most of the industry so what's left to lose? It might not look right, but I think it got a point across.
Can't do anything about it now. Besides, the stock is under .17 so I don't think the move made it it any less attractive.
SpursFan, All I'm saying is I asked if they would release a transcript of his comments, and the slides/PR hit their website a few hours later. It could be a coincidence, or not. I'm glad they released something either way.
I sent a request yesterday morning through NWBO's website asking if they would be releasing a transcript of Dr. Bosch's comments from the Boston conference. A few hours later it came out. Not sure if it was my request, or if they were going to put it out anyway. Regardless, it's out now, it's on their website, and I like it.
It's bullish IMO. Cheap, but bullish. I don't think they'd put it out there if they didn't agree with the analysis, to some extent. I think they're using it to convey what they'd rather not say as a company -- officially, that is. Plus there's Linda's code of silence on many things. As Flipper said in an earlier post, "why hang your butt out there?" Whenever this company speaks it gets attacked, but they can still do an end around.
That's all I'm doing. I have a very high threshold for pain, and this does hurt, but results have to come at some point.

Probably British.
You should pose your question to Woodford.
Pyrr:
JD, Can you explain what you meant in this 3/9 post #106657? Sounds a lot like textbook pumping to me.

How does this affect your holdings in NWBO?
Trading Halts on OTC: http://otce.finra.org/TradeHaltsCurrent
Their CEO is listed as the Resident Entrepreneur at Toucan Capital.
Turtle. Woodford's holdings are listed on the two 13Gs on this site:
https://fintel.io/so/us/nwbo
They were filed on 1-10-2017 (They have it as 2017-01-10) under two different company names, and total about 43M shares.
Notice the Valentine's Day massacre on 2/14.
Thank you, Turtle. Very sorry about your losses to this terrible disease as well. 7 years is hardcore tough. No treatment could stop the spread of my Dad's GBM. Luckily we got him home from the hospital for the last few weeks, though that didn't make it any easier or better. He allowed a biopsy for the sake of science, and it left him paralyzed on the left side of his body. In the end, at least we were all together as a family, so I'm thankful for that.
I'm the same age Turtle, but I honestly don't remember exactly where I was when Elvis died, so your memory seems to be doing better. My Mom is 73, and I lost my Dad to GBM in 2008. He was 66, and lived around 50 days after diagnosis.
threefoot, I'm writing a treatment for a movie about this whole crazy thing. In my mind I have Cybill Shepherd playing Linda, and Mark DeCarlo playing Les. GLTA
